Pho noon had been in my list forever and ever. We finally got around to trying them out. It's in a small shopping center. It's very small inside as well. I believe it sits 30 patrons. The employee was friendly but not very attentive. The food was mixed. The beef banh mi was pretty good and had lots of flavor. The pho unfortunately tasted like it was fake bullion broth and very mute in flavor. It didn't have that yummy beef bone broth or spices like star anise like we love in our pho. The meats were generous and had good flavor, but the broth wasn't what we want pho to be. It was edible but not good enough to return. I'm sorry, this place is ass LOL. Probably one of the worst pho places I've been to. I think the sheer quality of pho in the bay area has ruined me. The one positive I can maybe think of is the restaurant is clean. And quiet. This is in a strip mall next to Planet Fitness. Totally empty, aside from 1 other customer, softly playing 2000s pop songs. The sole employee at the cashier was apathetic and seemingly irritated. Our dishes came out in 10 mins. 1. HOUSE SPECIAL NOODLES: Noodles are mushy and overcooked af, like they've been sitting in broth for an hour. Broth is unremarkable, could've been flavored with just a bouillon cube. Of the sparse amounts of meat in the bowl, they were bland and kinda tough... I couldn't eat more than a few bites. No amount of hoisin sauce or sriracha could save it THAI TEA: This doesn't really taste like Thai tea at all... Nowhere near as aromatic and way too much milk. Once I sat down, the utensils were very dirty and I had to wipe them down with my napkin. Still having hope for the food in the empty shop, we got our waters and my girlfriend had some vegetables in her water cup so I swapped mine and hers so she could have a clean cup of water. Once the food came, my hopes finally crashed. We got our food and the first thing I noticed was the oil. It is about a centimeter thick and very viscous which would definitely make someone sick if they eat that much of it. The meat quality could definitely be much better as there is so much fat where the ratio was about 60:40 fat to protein. The meat was also not very good and tough to chew. Overall, very greasy, unclean, and the noodles were also sloughing off like they themselves absorbed all the fat and oil in the broth. Came to this place since I was craving Asian food and when I got my receipt, the prices were not matching the menu and one item was "Custom Amount" because supposedly its not in the menu. I questioned the lady who charged me, and she apologized and said the prices have increased but don't have the new menus. Ok 2nd time around I was testing her: I called the restaurant and she answered, I told her I see that she's selling the Vermicelli dishes for $8.50, and she told me the prices have changed and that the item is being sold for $9.95 and not $8.50. I come in person to pickup the order and she tells me the dish alone is $11... Ok, at this point I'm thinking this lady is trying to rip me off. I told her I'll be willing to pay if she sells me my order as agreed in the phone. Nope, she said she could eat it but just to make up for things she gave me a free Thai Tea. Food is good but considering my experience here, even if their menu says "price may change without notice," I don't think I'll be coming here again. I feel like the lady was trying to rip me off. Usually, if something is listed in the menu for a certain amount and prices increase without notifying the customer and catches them off guard, good customer service would be to sell them for the price listed on the menu. Came here to eat with my family, all tables were very dirty. Server was very rude as soon as we sat down then tried to joke with you and be cool after being rude. Restroom says "out of service" but actually works. Everyone who knows pho and a Pho restaurant is, number one, judged by is broth and number two by is Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef). The broth here at Pho Noon is on point with any other restaurant and even my mom's (and sister's) broth. The broth is clean and savory, with a hint of spice. I ended up getting the Pho Tai (rare steak) with Bo vien (beef balls) large size and it was plenty of food. Pho pitches have slowly been creeping up the past 5 years so I guess the average price now for a large is about $7-9 dollars. The usual veggies served with pho was fresh also. (Bean sprouts,Thai basil, jalapenos, lime). The flavors of shaken beef were good surprisingly good as well. Good portions and the right about of sweet, savory and saucy stickiness to the meat. The rice itself was a bit dry for me taste but edible. Definitely a dish to reorder. One more item that stands out here is their own home made spicy fish sauce. Absolutely delish! Gotta get some with the chicken filled egg rolls! Last but not least, some Vietnamese establishments are known for their horrendous service. The service here was spot on. Place is simple, organized, clean & neat. I've also noticed that when places tend to get busier and more popular they tend to forget about the quality of the food and focus more on the quantity of people who come in. So I ordered the "Special pho" which in my opinion had such an amazing smell to it alone & the serving portion is HUGE. Definitely enough for two people to share, you know.. if I was into that type of bs HAHA.. jk. But it was Delicious! Very flavorful. Thinking about it now has my mouth watering.. This is actually the worst pho I have ever had in my life. Their broth has no flavor and is incredibly oily, and their chicken looks like chicken you get when you order a noodle dish at a thai restaurant, not really the large rounds usually served at pho places. To make matters worse, they don't offer cups of water, they force you to buy water bottles. Lastly, the waitress was very not helpful and ended up charging extra without my consent. When I asked what the breakdown was of the charges, she refused and only gave me the total. It was only until after where I asked for my receipt when I found out I had been mis charged, and they were not willing to do anything about it. Very disappointed. Was expecting more based on the reviews. But maybe since I'm Asian, I'm more picky. The food portions were unbelievably small. Even my 4 foot 10, size zero friend who eats like a bird was disappointed in the portions. The taste was decent (ordered fried rice, chicken pho, Shaken beef, egg rolls and pad see ew), but it was heavy handed on the sugar and soy sauce. The Pad See Ew had zero vegetables, not even for color, and was just rice noodles and some beef. Very disappointing in size and completeness of what an dinner entree/dish should be, look and taste like. The pineapple fried rice, tasted fine, but again, we were both so shocked to see the skimpy portion in a regular to go container. It was such a let down. The biggest bummer was the Shaken beef. Again, heavy handed with sugar and salt and barely any food in the container. What little meat there was appeared chopped very small and was quite dry covered in sauce. It tasted no different than the Pad See Ew beef, but she said it was Filet Mignon and charged me $16.50 for it. There was nothing about it that hinted Filet Mignon. Even the Pad See Ew beef was larger in pieces. Again the total size of the Shaken Beef was maybe 1/3- 1/2 of the container it was served in. Extremely disappointed. Finally, the prices were not as they were listed on the menu, but were all raised. She did not tell say how much more each dish would be. She just said the menu prices have been raised and that was it. 1 star because the lady was friendly, and 1 star because the place was clean, thus the 2 star rating. read more

I've been here a couple of times already and the soup broth has been consistent every time! Their broth is pretty good and very flavorful. The service here is also great! I'm not sure what her name is, but I think she might be the manager. She's very sweet and is always making sure my food is good, my water is filled and that my green milk tea is made to my liking! I usually order the Pho Dac Biet and sometimes the Green Milk Tea. The Pho Dac Biet comes with steak, brisket, flank, meatballs, tendon and tripe. The broth is flavorful and consistent, I've been here about 5 times now and it has never tasted watered down, unlike some places. I like that she makes my green milk tea not too sweet and always remembers I like it that way every time I come in! I like the interior, it's very modern and it makes the restaurant look clean and simple. The food usually comes out pretty quick and I'm able to get in and out within 35 mins.
