This was our first time going to pho Hoan Is was alright nothing to write home about the customer service was great ! The staff was quick and helpful. The salad rolls were very good so was the peanut sauce the soup was a little oily and the broth to noodle amounts were off. I got the large which was a good size and my husband got 32E which he said the same there was to much noodles vs other toppings. I gave this location four stars basically on the quality of customer service being so good, the food was only a two to three star rating for me. It tastes and feels like chain restaurant food, which it is ..so it is what it is I guess.

Rice vermicelli with grilled pork and spring roll (#32)

3.5 stars so I'm rounding it up. We came here on their opening day for dinner around 7pm. With multiple locations in Calgary, Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan, I was surprised to see the restaurant in a bit of a disarray. There was no procedure setup to separate takeout and dine-in customers and it appears that they were seating people based on a first come first served bases. Unfortunately, they don't seem to keep track of who was here first. After about 15 mins of waiting we were finally seated. Menus came immediately and teas were served. The tea was very light but has a unique flavour that I can't quite pinpoint. We ordered our food and proceed to wait 45mins for our pho, bun and com dinner. Again, we understand it was opening night and the restaurant was packed but we did not expect to wait 45 mins for the food at a Vietnamese restaurant as they are normally much much faster. On the bright side, I had time to create this page for them. :) Pho, was quite decent! It had great flavour and was loaded with fresh meat. You can smell and taste all of the spices in their broth which was quite nice. This is definitely one of the better pho I've had in the Deep South. Rice vermicelli with grill pork and spring roll was a bit too sweet for us. We felt the pork marinate was on the sweeter side which was nice with the noodles without the fish sauce. However, with the fish sauce on the sweeter side too, we felt like we were eating candy. The spring roll tasted ok. Rice with grilled pork and fried eggs, was delicious. The pork was grilled perfectly. Overall, we were quite pleased with the everything we had and would likely come back. I'm confident that by tomorrow's service they will have some sort of a system in place so that waiting time will be reduced.

Another location has opened up, now in Mahogany. As with everything else that's opening in the plaza, it's crazy busy. This past weekend they were celebrating their grand opening and giving everyone an extra 10% off their orders, which I'm sure added to the hype. Everything about my dinner here last night was on par for Vietnamese in Calgary. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. I've never waited for a table at a Vietnamese place before but it's new, so it was expected. We were sat at a table right inside the door where there's only about 6 tables with the rest being on the other side of the restaurant. This area is good for groups as the tables are close together and can easily fit 12-14 people together. However, it's a little squishy for separate couples or families to enjoy dinner without bumping elbows. I went with the (#1) steak pho and my wife had her go-to (#32) grilled pork with spring roll bun. Both were average. The portions are a good size and for $30 for the two of us, the prices are good too.

Good pho for the south of Calgary. Kind of pricey considering it's almost $17 a bowl for XL.

Fantastic. Say goodbye to all the imitators in the SE. Finally a proper pho restaurant. Try the Bun Bo Hue. One of the best.

My family went to the same pho restaurant for +10 years and one day we went and my niece said "oh…read moreno the broth is different" and we were all so sad that the taste of our fave things had changed. A few months later in Calgary Reddit I saw a tip that restaurant had links to Pho Han. We immediately came here and (cue heavenly chorus) my niece immediately gave the broth two thumbs up!! The portions are awesome, prices are great, the flavors popping and the service is amazing. We had kids spill all over the table and they were so gracious. Delivery has been perfect too.

Upon entry we were greeted by Michael ( later introduced ) his friendly and polite manner made a great impression and made us feel welcomed! Menu is extensive like most other Vietnamese restaurants, but we decide to try the basics; No. 1 House Special - broth is perfectly well balanced with herbs & spices, cuts of beef were all high in quality & quantity! Pho is cooked al dente! A perfect 10! No. 19 Hu Tieu Nam Vang - a pork based soup with shrimp, sliced pork, minced pork, quail eggs with clear noodles .. love the way they torched the sliced pork belly to give it that extra charred flavour! Its unique flavour is enhanced with a touch of sesame oil, add your fresh chilli to give it that extra kick!! I have added Pho Han on my Calgary list of top restaurants! Will be back when I am in town again!!

The restaurant was pretty spacious and not very busy on a Saturday late afternoon. The place however was a little warm inside, maybe the AC wasn't working as they had some fans on. We ordered the vermicelli dish and pad Thai as the staff told us it was their most popular dish. The pad Thai was indeed one of our favorite. It had a unique smoky flavor to it. We also ordered the pho and eggplant dish. The pho had a surprisingly rich flavor. I would definitely recommend the pho. Overall we were very pleased with our meal and left full with hardly any left overs.

Being a vegetarian, I have had a hard time getting pho that's flavorful but the chefs here have magic in their hands, they have put so much heart and effort in packing so much flavor in their broths! I had the Sate Tofu Noodle Soup, ah can't get the taste out of my head!! Such richness, the freshness of the house made tofu paired with soft rice noodles was just beyond perfection!! The Pad Thai was also delicious: it missed one thing: crushed peanuts which we usually get at Thai restaurants. The restaurant has a very calm and peaceful auto to it!!! Full of large plants and a meditation area, it's a nice getaway from the corporate hustle outside. The place closes at 8, so reach early.
