We are from Los Angeles of California USA.. Vietnamese food it's much better there. Pho 1 is very closed, taste, size, & authenticity. We ordered 1) Pho Bo Tai Lan( slice beef marinated with leman grass, cook it . Then over noodle and add soup 2) Bún Bo Hue 3) Sa-Lad mango. (Mango were yummy) Definitely come back. There were busy, we had to wait around 20 mins All where yummy.

i'm surprised at the lack of love for this place from yelpers! easy 5 stars for me just for existing. after pasta and pizza for 2 weeks i needed a break and this place definitely hits the spot. pho was delicious and beef was tender. it is about 90% of what i expect from my usual southern pho. they do use different ingredients and naming convention from some of their dishes but fine by me. i believe they are the northern style anyways i did a quick google search in rome and did find any other authentic vietnamese places near by, was shocked to find this one with great reviews on google so decided to stop by vietnamese coffee is point. place is always packed the couple of times i went but service is pretty quick. definitely stop by if you are missing home and need a break from italian food!

Delicious! Best bowl of Pho that I have had outside of Vietnam. Ordered grill beef pho, the small was more than enough for me. Can't beat 6.5 euros for a delicious bowl of Pho.

Since moving to Rome, we have been on the lookout for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, so you can imagine our excitement when we had an opportunity to try this Pho restaurant on via Merulana. The sidewalk is usually filled with diners, as is the inside, so I was pretty confident it would be good and I wasn't disappointed. This was not our first visit to Pho1, but it was the first time I brought my camera, so I wanted to capture the moment to share with others. This visit, like our last one, was in the scorching heat of the summer, so we decided to get something other than Pho, but that will be at the top of our list when we return after it cools down a bit. We shared the summer rolls, which as you can tell from the picture was filled with vegetables and shrimp and accompanied by a simple, but tasty, dipping sauce. The service was pleasant and very fast as our main dishes arrived immediately after finishing the rolls. I had the Bún nem, which were fried spring rolls split lengthwise and arranged on a bed of rice noodles and salad with the same sauce. It was refreshing and light and the rolls were fried perfectly. The other dish we got was the Bún bò nam bộ, which was a deliciously seasoned beef mixture with rice noodles, peanuts and sprouts. Both of these dishes were flavorful and refreshing dishes that pair well with the summer heat. We are looking forward to returning when it cools down so we can enjoy their Pho, have a beer, and be grateful there are so many fantastic restaurants to try here in Rome.

Bun Bo Hue and Egg Rolls

Honestly for someone missing the taste of a warm soup this place hit the spot for my mom and I. We ordered: Bun Bo Hue (my ride or die) Pho Ga Egg rolls BUN BO HUE was very hot and had a lot of meat in it except the noodles weren't your typical PHO HA broth was hot as well but same issue with the noodles being off and not your typical kind EGG ROLLS filling were normal but the wrap was different and not how egg rolls usually are Overall the food did hit the spot and satisfied my moms craving for some Vietnamese food. Although some ingredients used were different it was still good and employees were very nice and helpful to all customers coming in the door

    * Price: not too bad. A small bowl for 6.5€ or about $8. Slightly more than what you get in california. 3 star. * Ambiance: small, clean, modern decor. 4 star. * Location: near Colosseum area. There are some street parking. 4 star. * Meals: pretty good Vietnamese food for Rome. 4 star. * Service: average. 3 star. We were craving for some vietnamese food after many days of pasta and pizza. Found this place on Yelp closed to Colosseum area. Despite of some bad reviews, we went to Pho1 anyway. The menu is pretty good with most popular vietnamese dishes We had pho, mango salad with shrimps, and vietnamese coffee. Pho has food flavor, clear broth with well cooked noodles and beef. They do not serve mints and bean sprouts with pho nor black sauce (Hoisin sauce). Mango salad is very fresh and light with generous amount of shrimps. Overall, it is not too shabby for Vietnamese food in Rome. We definitely were satisfied with our meal.

The best pho in town, we loved the broth and the sizes are perfect, pretty nice service and love the outside Roman atmosphere

We did not fly from Orange County California to Rome with plans of having a bowl of pho but after 5 days of pasta/pizza we just needed a break. This place definitely serves the purpose of that. It clearly doesn't compare to places in OC but for needing a warm bowl of pho in 45f weather it hit the spot. It was a bit on the salty side and didn't have hoisin sauce but it was still what we needed. The 4/5 stars rating is based off the above. To be clear it's not a 4 star pho place when you're comparing with the rest of the world, just Rome Italy. I read some of the other reviews and we thought service was just fine. It's clearly a family run business and keep in mind things are at a different pace in different parts of the world.

    Spring rolls

While visiting Rome, my family and I were craving pho so we found this restaurant right across from our hotel! How convenient! It was pretty delicious, and tasted almost similar to the pho we have in the states. The spring rolls were also good, I was surprised that they put fried eggs in it though. I've never had spring rolls with eggs in it, but there's a first time for everything, right? It wasn't bad tho! I was satisfied!

The customer service is fast and efficient. As it is a bit tight inside, I would have preferred to be outside, but the weather did not permit it. This is by far the best Pho I have ever had. It is full of flavor. In our order, we ordered numbers 8, 14, and 15. They were all full of flavor, well seasoned, and spiced with a good amount of heat. For drinks, we ordered local beer and mint iced tea, which I had never had before. Additionally, the ambiance is pleasant.

Don't worry about the rating. This place is spicy delicious and a soulful

Perhaps the best spicy noodle (pho) place in Rome that is close to the major basilica. Central location. Recommend. Ask for extra spicy if you can handle it. Generous portion of beef on the large portion. Noodle is a rice noodle (mi xian like, less pho like). Great taste. Try Vietnamese coffee or the mint tea
