My trailer had torsion axles, and Roger inspected them and told me honestly that one of the axles needed to be replaced because the threads were stripped. He explained that repairing it would be a liability, and rather than just taking my money, he gave me the tools and everything I needed to make the repair myself. The replacement axle would have taken about six weeks to get. I repaired it, but unfortunately the threads still wouldn't hold the proper torque. I ended up having another company weld the nut to the axle. I got about 10 minutes down the road before the other axle blew out the bearings. I immediately went back to Roger. It was Labor Day weekend and they were getting ready to close, but Roger again was honest that he couldn't repair that axle either. Instead of leaving me stranded, he recommended another shop and even made the axles for them to install. Unfortunately, that shop couldn't do the job Saturday morning because they didn't have a certified welder. I went back to Roger on Tuesday after the holiday, and just like he told me, they had me back on the road in about 5-6 hours. That's the kind of service you don't see every day. Roger and his son are honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely care about helping people. Roger could have easily tried to take on work that he knew wasn't right, but instead he told me the truth and helped me find a solution. I would highly recommend Custom Spring & Trailer Repair to anyone who needs trailer repairs or axle work. Roger knows his business, and I was also told that he makes axles for trailer shops throughout Western Tennessee and Eastern Arkansas -- which says a lot about the quality and experience behind his work. I've held out for the long term on this review February of…read more2024 I bought a 5200#GVWR, 3000# load capacity tilt trailer mainly to haul my 2000# side x side. First time using it with the sxs, I hit a bump in the road and lost trailer brakes and lights. I cancelled my ride and limped back to my house. Found out that the trailer wiring was ran between the frame and the axle of the trailer and the bump caused it to pinch the harness a short it out. Also found that there was only 1 and 1/4 inches of suspension travel at 2/3 load capacity of the trailer. I contacted trailers plus and made an appointment for the repair of the trailer. Expecting to drop it off for an afternoon to have the harness fixed. Nope. I was going to have to leave it for 2 weeks. since it had to wait, I ask them to investigate the minimal suspension travel because I was expecting it to be bottom out at the full capacity of the trailer frame itself and to confirm it had the correct suspension installed at the factory. When I went to pick up the trailer, they said that the suspension was correct they'd repaired the harness and they had "given the trailer an inspection " so I would be good to go now. They had drilled a pass through hole in the frame for the harness and repaired it with black electrical tape and scotch locks. The next time I used the a week later, the trailer plug fell off when I picked up the harness. None of the wire screws if the plug had been tightened. Now at exactly 2 years old the spare tire mount is tearing off the side of the trailer frame. I've received no response from the manufacturer or the franchise where I purchased it Trailer are under built, over rated and over priced for the horrible service that I've received

He gave me the estimate and told me that it would be ready on this day to pick up. They completed I think he said a 43 point check point and said my trailer was in sound shape. I actually paid less than the estimate. It appears that they can repair any problems with a trailer. I do not mind spending the money to make my trailer safe to use. It was just nice to hit the estimate price the first time. I never hit the original estimate at Firestones. I usually get 2 to 3 calls from Firestones for more work needed. I will make sure all my landscape buddies in the memphis area know about this company.

I brought them a mangled trailer axle after a seal leaked the oil out of the hub and the bearing…read moreblew up the hub. The ABS sensor holder was squashed. They recommended, and I agreed, that the axle-air system (to keep tires inflated) be removed from both axles. That was the cause of the oil being blown out of the hub when it leaked air into the hub. They grease-packed all the bearings and refurbished the ABS system. I am writing this review and giving them 5 stars because the trailer ABS light started going on a few weeks later, and they took it all apart and did more remedial work on the mangled sensor bracket to better hold the sensor - and provided a new sensor - at no charge. I have driven the rig another few weeks without any further trouble.
