I waited 30 minutes before reaching out to ask about our appointment but received NO RESPONSE. There's no excuse for that, or coming back from it as he is the business owner. I've read some other poor reviews but really had high hopes for him. I like to support small businesses. If he really wasn't interested in traveling to Rochester from Albion or the job, then be honest with the customer. Don't just stand them up and not respond.

He goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. We hired him for a retaining wall, garden work, and patio placement. He blended styles wonderfully, made excellent suggestions, and provided us with a better overall product than we ever could have hoped for. This was by far the most stress free project, and produced a BEAUTIFUL retaining wall and patio that I will cherish for years to come! I will 100% hired him for any future needs, and would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for landscaping/hardscaping!

Did not receive any response. I starting sending multiple emails & voice messages. They did not respond until I threatened to leave a bad review. I was told they were backed up & it would have to wait until fall. At this point, other painters I reached out to were not accepting new work, so I tried to be patient/understanding & said I'll wait. It's Sept 23rd, I emailed one final time to get on the schedule & was told again they are too busy. Why would they take new business when they have existing signed contracts?! Now I'm stuck with no painter & probably won't be able to get this done until next Spring! That's bad business! There's a lot of painters out there, I'm sorry I trusted this one!

Don't go to this place. They're incompetent and insulting. We had a contract to paint my house and…read moreremove shiplap from the kitchen and replace it with drywall. When time came to remove the shiplap they tried to pull a fast one and suggest using putty and tap to go over the gaps in the shiplap then sand and paint to "look" like a normal wall. I wasn't aware but that wouldn't work. Shiplap is wood paneling so the paint would just crack since the wood contracts and expands. So they attempted the same incorrect fix and when I kept cracking they tried to say it's something to do with it being a load barring wall or the previous owner don't let me know there was an issue. This was insulting as they either were lying or they were ignorant about shiplap. I knew the family there is nothing wrong with the wall. They were unprofessional to work with and the painting for poorly done

The crew arrived earlier in the morning and were done by 3pm, everything cleaned up. Also, only business I know that gives senior citizen discounts. I highly recommend DGJ Brothers Contractors.

Also replaced copper lines that were leaking. They also replaced a door that was broken & installed the door knob. Replaced cabinetry hardware in the bathrooms. They also installed a sump pump alarm and switched out our utility sink & faucet and added a drain pipe for the washing machine to drain into. They were great to work with. I can't recommend A to Z Home Repair enough! Mike has become our go-to handyman ever since we moved…read moreinto our new home a few years ago, and he has always been consistently reliable, very friendly, honest, and easy to communicate with, and always does a great job with whatever task we've thrown his way. And his rates are extremely reasonable and you never get the feeling that he's trying to rip you off or try to upsell you on things that you don't need. Last winter, our vinyl siding ripped off because of the high winds. I submitted a request to Mike via his website, and he was able to come the next morning to do the repair, and he even sourced a matching replacement for the missing siding. He even came out even though the weather was brutally cold, threatening to snow, and still very windy! I've really been impressed by the innovative efforts Mike has been implementing to help make the customer service experience both pleasant and efficient. What sets Mike apart from almost every single home contractor we've tried to deal with in the Clarence area is that he actually understands that it's the year 2026. And by that, I mean he actually reliably communicates with you via "modern" methods like email and texting, and also makes it easy for you to submit requests for estimates via his website. And even more impressively, he usually gets back to you with a response within a few hours (or no longer than 1 day at the very most). Almost every other "professional" home service business I've dealt with around here will take days or even weeks to respond to you at best, or will completely blow you off at worst. And good luck getting any of them to communicate with you via e-mail or respond to requests you submit on their website "contact us" forms! You often get the feeling that these companies don't care about your lowly "residential" needs, because they're already making a lot of money with other bigger jobs. Mike, on the other hand, seems to be doing what he does because he actually loves to do it, and loves helping people in the process. Highly recommended!
