I went to grad school in Philly and have a lot of fond memories of eating water ice during the summers I spent out there. So, Philly Freeze-Me is such a godsend. They have a great product, exceptional customer service, and the new DTLV location is absolutely beautiful. I actually had a friend (who's a Philly native) in town visiting a couple months ago, and I brought her here. She absolutely loved the shop's authenticity, and we happened to show up during their Distro Movie Night. So, we got to watch about 30 minutes of the classic film House Party, while eating our water ice al fresco. Epic! Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambiance: 5 Stars

This is my son's second visit to this business in five or six days which confirms he likes it. The air condition is blowing the music isn't. It has a nice vibe. The location is perfect in between the art district and downtown so hopefully it's a catch all. There are a lot of choices as far as the flavors as well as the portion the prices are low so I would encourage you to take advantage of this while not many people know about them because as the summer progresses, they are going to be going to be popular. The customer service is OK. They're not overpowering or overbearing. They allow you to peruse the selection and are available when you need them.

Amazing Italian ice, great location, and good service! I think the relocation of the business was a great idea!

This is good but very sweet. I ordered the medium size and wished I had gotten the small. I definitely wasted a lot of it. I could only handle so much of it since it is very sweet. This would be great on a hot summers day. There should be more lighting outside, but the inside is very nice. There are a few areas to sit while we were there. There was a movie playing, but also some cool music with four TV screens making one huge screen for the music videos. Our server was very nice and helpful.

Come 4 the vibes, pick a better flavor than me & bring ur own to-go cup. So lemme explain... Ya girl was fiendin' for a Slushie. Swore this spot had 'em--convinced I seen a machine once. Spoiler: I was hella wrong. Didn't figure that out 'til I got there. -face palm- GPS said I'd arrived but... naw fam. Arrived where? Outside looked like they took the "for lease" sign down and then left. No signs, no pics, no text. Just a building like, "hey girl... maybe." I was finna skate to 7-11 when I caught a lil neon "open" sign. Walked over & just happened to look up... well I'll be damned. The actual sign is huge, 40 feet up, and hidden behind a tree. Who gon' see that? Birds? Bwahaha. Despite the mystery, Yelp said "open." Sign said "open." So I walked in--and yep. #ShockedButGrateful The place is MASSIVE. Givin' "event space that moonlights as dessert shop for tax purposes." Minimal day club furniture. Random step-and-repeat in the corner. No menus on the wall. Very modern-sexy-cool... and empty. I was both confused and intrigued. Like wtf y'all be doing in here & how do I secure an invite?? Menus come as cute bougie lil books, Cheesecake Factory long. Quickly realized this wasn't Slushie territory--it's Italian ice. Which I didn't want. But I'm not about to leave a Black-owned biz empty-handed. I might be confused, but I ain't disrespectful. Flipped through endless pages. Landed on watermelon. Easy. Got my homegirl a "Smoove" too--hella berry flavors. While they prepped it, I snooped. Clean overall, just... teenager energy in the kitchen. The patio? Could host a wedding. A brawl. Both. Bathroom hallway = MVP. Custom wallpaper with pics of the owner, staff, and local celebs. VIBES. Then the plot twist. Lil mama handed me our ices, piled over the brim (yay!). But when I asked for a lid, she said she'd have to cut off the top to make it fit. Asked for an extra cup instead--"I gotta charge you for that." -blank face stare- "...I'm sorry, what?" Either I lose what I paid for... or pay more to take it all home? Ma'am. The Italian ice? Basic. Solid 3. My friend agreed. Other homie said, "Only worth it for the wild flavors--like Hennessy lemonade." All in all... cute spot, big spot. But between the camo entrance, menu decoding, and cup conspiracy... it was definitely an experience.

what an elite ice cream shop in Las Vegas! i first heard of Philly Freeze-Me through Yelp app, and i was not disappointed. this shop can be a little hard to find, but it is located right behind the AquaBar. upon arrival, i was greeted with a smile, and the rest of the staff was also hospitable, also greeting us and offering us their recommendations and some samples. i ended up getting their Mango-Strawberry Ice, with caramel drizzled on top the ice cream was so delicious, with its fruity flavors blending well, and the caramel adding that tart taste i personally love. my brother also agrees with my assessment of this shop, and the shop's ambiance also is proof of their happy environment at the end, i thanked the staff, and JB in particular was so hospitable with the other guests. he explained the origins of their shop in Philadelphia, and you can see the Eagles logo throughout the shop, showing their loyalty to the city and its team! plus points because they had Spongebob on

The service was great. They let you try the falvor before you pick them as well. The price is worth it for how much you get. They had just opened this location when I went. I was really chill They had outdoor sitting as well with games. I was definitely happy to finally close this off my list of places to try.

This is the best summer treat. Starting at like $7, you can get a delicious two flavor Italian ice like dessert. They have cocktail inspired flavors as well as other standard flavors like chocolate and strawberry. But truly what sets this place apart is their team's warm and welcoming nature to every customer who comes in. They will let you sample any flavors that you would like to before buying. Their location has large couches and tvs so you can enjoy your ice within a more temp controlled environment than outside this summer. As for the taste, it was mild but let it melt just a bit if you have a sensitive mouth as it is very cold and frozen.

Hawaiian breeze And Cherry Italian Ice

You don't gotta take a flight to Philly for some Philadelphia style Italian ice. Checked on Yelp got led her and was impressed. The woman working was nice and gave us samples eventually settled on the Hawaiian breeze and cherry. They had a few "spiked" flavors for the drinkers. The flavor of the Italian ice honestly was one of the best I've had. I love gelato and ice cream and all things of that variety but honestly Philly freeze me impressed me more after the experience! Hopefully this review captures someone's attention and leads them here lol since it happened to me, and they can enjoy a nice treat. I made a detour and it was worth it. Small inside area with Philly inspired wall art. Worth a try :)

Perfect for the hot Vegas weather! Refreshing and sweet water ice. They have a huge variety of flavors, but I went with the Cotton Candy and Watermelon. I tried the Mango as well, which was really good. Overall, a good experience here! Service was kind and the shop has a couple benches to sit on. Overtime, the Italian Ice got really sweet! So I couldn't even finish a medium sized cup. However, I was glad I got to try two different flavors.

I love this place!! What a fun find close to my hotel... Born and raised here in Vegas but living in Texas, I found the perfect treat to cool down in this summer heat! I grabbed a large Big Stick freeze and it was so delicious! It's like a soft serve italian ice / snow cone! Cherry, pineapple and mango tastes just like my child hood favorite popsicle! Great price point, plenty to share too! Lisa was so helpful and lovely! Must try spot and can't wait to come back!

As a native east coaster I love me a good Italian ice. The flavors here are so good and the portions are huge. The consistency of the ice is perfect too. I've been several times and love every flavor combo I've had. Absolutely worth a try. Even if the Freeze stands for "Freeze put your hands in the air" cuz it's not the greatest area, but so good it's worth a try. Staff is friendly and always has great music playing.

Geneva L.

I am sad their other location closed it was closer to my home. They have some of the best Italian ice in Vegas and you have the option to get the Italian ice with or without alcohol in it. I love it's always fresh tasting, has great flavor that does not taste artificial and it's not overly sweet. The customer service is great as well.

I was seriously tempted by the ube option even though it had whole milk, but the Vegas Rocky Road caught my eye. It is safe to say I was not disappointed. The service was quick and attentive as there was only one person in line. No seating inside, but honestly when it's this hot in Vegas, you're just probably happy to have a cold treat. They have been voted Best Custard by many newspapers and magazines around the world. I remember coming here on many hot summer nights as a kid and enjoying the yummy custard that would make you forget the heat. This is a walk up, place your order and go type of establishment. My standard order has always been the hot fudge sundae but they offer so many other options. If you want a frozen pint they have those too. Service is always quick and efficient. Limited parking since it's a very small lot. Summer is fast approaching which means I will be heading here soon to enjoy a cold custard treat.

Sadly, did not love, Lu-It custard. While just off one end of the strip, like every other down town…read morearea in the US (outside of the strip) it is located in a sketchy area. On our visit, there were several sketchy people in the lot and some going to the adjoining liquor store. While most of the customers were nice family looking people, a few of them were on the sketchier side too. If this were the only issue, we would go back, but there were other issues as well. However, for the positives, parking was limited, but sufficient. Business was good and there was both a line and numerous people waiting for their food. The order area is well lit at night. Most of all, the servers are very friendly, helpful, and patient. Unfortunately, the rest of the downside are the most important things. The serving cup size is good, but the ratio of custard to hot fudge/toppings was way off. Most places do not give enough fudge/chocolate sauce/toppings, but here the ratio was half and half. This MIGHT have been ok if the fudge and toppings were layered as at other places that do not skimp on toppings, but here the fudge/toppings were the top half of the cup and the custard at the bottom. This made it difficult to get the custard and to get a proper ratio of custard to topping. Kind of like rationing your meat and rice or potatoes so you have some for each bite--you could not do this with the custard and toppings here. The custard quality seemed like it might be ok, but it was hard to tell due to the ratio and serving structure. Overall, Nielson's custard has the more standard concretes with mix ins and a larger portion size than Luv-it. Freddy's frozen custard, although not as good as Nielson's was still also better than Luv-it. If Luv-it could either layer its toppings and you have concrete custard consistency, then it could be rated higher. As is, you are better off driving the distance to Nielson's or just going to Freddys. Still, if you must go to Luv-it, just be aware of your surroundings and you will still get an ok dessert.

So now as an adult,I've added Las Vegas to my Ghirardelli love affair,I always 100% of my Vegas trips, make sure to stop by my beloved ice cream shop located in the middle of the strip on Las Vegas Blvd. So this particular visit,it was my mother, brother and sister with me,after watching UFC at T-Mobile Arena,we were all kinda lounging in the hotel room around 11p and I was feeling a bit amped up and I looked out my window and could see the bright Ghirardelli sign and declared I was headed there for some late night eats and my party though pretty much declaring they were in for the night got overcome with FOMO and all decided to join me. We got there around 1130p-this location is generally open until 12am but 1am on Friday and Saturday. This location is located in the walkway near the Linq Promenade walking towards the famous High Roller ride. I've always liked this location as it is located in one of the most action packed spots on the Strip-it's a perfect spot to engage in one of my favorite activities in Vegas-people watching for days. Not to mention so many casinos, restaurants and bars located all around. Once we arrived after taking a look at the menu,we decided to all go with the same item-we got the Mini Hot Fudge Sundae($16.50)-it's a classic item at Ghirardelli but just a little smaller considering it was near midnight. After waiting about 7-8 minutes-our order was ready and it was so visually pleasing-pure happiness and the taste was so perfect-the mini is the perfect amount so one doesn't feel so weighed down yet still gets the full Ghirardelli experience. I will admit,it's a little pricey-$71+ for 4 mini sundaes seems excessive but you have to remember these are Vegas prices plus Ghirardelli is a pretty premium brand-so I'm good with the prices, not everyday but this day was just fine. In closing-if you ever find yourself with a craving for some high level premium ice cream sundaes and you happen to be lucky enough to be in the vicinity of a Ghirardelli Ice Cream shop-do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a high level treat-I couldn't recommend them high enough......even after all this time.

Anytime I have friends or family visiting from out of town that are huge Matcha lovers I bring them here! They have plenty of seating, pretty nice size tables ranging from smaller squares, to larger circle tables to pretty good size community tables. Very clean, minimalistic, open space. It's a great place to hangout, it can get pretty busy sometimes. And that parking lot in general... sometimes I've gone there and had a hard time finding parking (I've actually left out of frustration before) it really just depends when you go. You do have a lot of really well-known local places in that shopping center that get incredibly busy especially late afternoon/early evenings on weekends from my experience. Haven't really had a problem when I've gone on a weekday. They have a really awesome menu! If you're not a Matcha person... but you're going with a matcha person.. they do have some coffee drinks as well! They have egg salad sandwiches and tuna sandwiches, and a few different desserts including layered crêpe cakes. My favorite thing to get there is their Matcha float latte, it's kind of the best of both worlds where you get your Matcha latte and a Matcha soft serve all in one! There are so many different combinations that you can get there of different types of green teas, either in tea form, latte, floats, parfait, and so many different flavors and toppings like they have their banana Matcha latte, which is really good!! They have quite a few flavors of soft serve (and don't worry for the ones that don't like Matcha, but are going with a Matcha person they have ones like black sesame, Ube, vanilla, etc. I miss their lychee flavor... I believe it was a limited time flavor, and I absolutely loved that soft serve... please bring it back!) and they're absolutely perfect, the texture and consistency of their soft serve is great. Tonight I got their Matcha and vanilla swirl soft serve on a waffle cone with chocolate syrup. (I had a birthday reward, They have a really awesome rewards program!) and it brought me joy in a way that I can't even put words and it was the perfect after dinner dessert and a great way to end the evening! It's an awesome place if in the middle of the day you need your Matcha fix, you need caffeine but you're not a coffee person. It's also really great place for a semi-late night (I believe they close at 10? so it's not like super late or anything, but still open until a pretty decent time) dessert and catch up with friends!
