    Hard and unable to eat
    Tulisa T.

i used to come here a few years ago and each time i came, i always had a delicious experience with no problems. my most recent experience was a bit disappointing. i ordered the oreo macaroon and it was so hard to break and eat. it was unenjoyable. i came in asking for another flavor of a macroon and the employee kindly provided us another one. that was very considerate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place is a bit small with limited seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] overall, it's still disappointing that this happened and i will probably not come back again because of the hesitation that the macroon will be hard again.

I was craving ice cream but looking for an ice cream shop open late and that has vegan flavors can be challenging. Luckily I remembered scoop is open late. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They weren't busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fast and friendly. I got exactly what I was craving. Vegan cookies and cream. It was delish!! So many flavors where there you're looking for dairy or non dairy options.

Soooo good! Love the vegan options as well. Service is always friendly and quick. The uber flavor is a must.

I'm very happy to have discovered this place because of my dairy allergy. Multiple flavors of vegan ice cream to choose from. So far, I tried the cookies and cream, chocolate, cookie dough, and ube. The owner told me that the vegan ice cream is made daily. The ube flavored vegan ice cream is my favorite flavor. This. Place offers milkshakes, macaroon ice cream sandwiches, ice cream, and various toppings to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside decorations is part nostalgia and part anime.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is helpful and friendly.

Was on the hunt for something sweet late night and this this happened to be the only thing open in the Spring Valley area. I believe it's Filipino owned with their flavor options. They offer regular ice cream scoop flavors, halo halo, and a wide selection of vegan flavors as well for those with a dairy allergy. We opted for the halo halo which had a mixture of beans, jellies, ice, and ube ice cream. In our opinion it wasn't the most authentic tasting one and it was a little too sweet. I feel like it needed more red bean in a stronger Ube flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is small and there's not much seating inside so I think it's meant more for to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool space! As soon as you walk in you'll be greeted by a ton of color, great artwork, and some clothing available for purchase on the back left portion of the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are a ton of flavors and you can choose between a cup, waffle cone, or cookie sandwich. As someone who cannot eat dairy I went straight to the vegan ice cream flavors. I got a cup and ordered five scoops. I got cookies and cream, cookie butter, and Ube. There were two workers that immediately greeted me as soon as I came in. They were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I am excited to come back and try the ice cream sandwich next time!

Honestly pretty disappointed in this place, after being recommended by quite a few people, a group of 4 of us came in about 45 minutes before closing and was greeted by a gentleman that looked extremely irritated and not so nicely asked if we are just getting ice cream to go and leaving when we responded yes he then rolled his eyes and walked behind the counter. We were in there for maybe 2 minutes before that same gentleman very rudely asking if we were ready to order and when we said we needed just a second (because we had never been here before and there are so many flavors) again we were met with attitude. The lady working behind the counter was nice no attitude. We got: Birthday crunch w/ the fruity pebbles macaroon Cookie butter & Cookie Monster Captian crunch& milk tea And a 2 vegan flavors. No toppings or anything extra Overall ice cream was good and there was a lot of flavors and toppings to choose from As we were walking out around 6 minutes after entering the establishment we were followed by that same gentleman being extremely extra by locking the door pretty much the second we got our feet out of the door. Over 30 minutes before their posted closing signs. Wouldn't recommend this place if you take more than 3 seconds to decide what you want or if you come anywhere near closing.

HORRIBLE customer service. Nasty old freezer burnt ice cream. 0/10. Never coming back.

This ice cream on wheels is anything but plain…read more Venila Creamery is a food trailer that serves a largely Asian-inspired menu of flavors. They've been heating up on Instagram and now Yelp, and I've personally heard great things about them. These days, I don't frequent the southwest part of town, which is where they usually post up. But this weekend, they came to TP Tea in Chinatown for a collaboration. Lo and behold, I had just wrapped up dinner a couple blocks away, so I had to stop by to try them out. And I'm very glad I did. They were very happy to give samples and to accommodate my slightly unexpected order. I got one of the collab flavors, Passionfruit Dreamsicle ($8.00), but I wanted to add a scoop of White Peach Oolong (+$3.00) which they gladly did. The passionfruit tasted amazing and melted easily in the mouth, although it had a texture that breaks rather than gives way smoothly when you try to scoop them with the rather thick wooden spoons. It did have a creamsicle / cream soda feel when eaten with the venilla ice cream it was blended with. And the White Peach Oolong is just very satisfying and reminds me oddly (but in a good way) of rum raisin at times. Plus, that sucker melted pretty quickly, so you know there can't be much if any presence of stabilizers. I ended up actually having most of the QQ noodles here (a TP tea add-on that's tapioca stretched into thin noodles), even though they were supposed to go with the passionfruit, but they worked well with both flavors since they just add a fun chewy aspect. Green Panda, Mee-Lo Swirl, and the other collab flavor Strawberry Milk Tea all tasted great too. I'm sure I'll be interested in a lot of their flavors in future visits, but my choices on this occasion really hit the spot. Venila Creamery is one of the best ice cream businesses in town, whether you have a bias toward Asian flavors or not. You have to check them out if you're looking for a cold, sweet dessert no matter what the weather is or what side of town you're coming from.

They specialize in Asian-inspired flavors and rotate in limited time drops, which makes it even more fun to try something new each time. When we pulled up (they were at Tractor Supply on Rainbow), there was a small group of 3 ahead of us. The wait was a little long, but nothing crazy--just keep in mind they have one person taking orders and one person scooping. Once it was our turn, the person taking our order was super sweet. She let us sample every flavor, which honestly made it so hard to choose because everything was that good. They don't rush you at all either, so you can really take your time deciding. I was stuck between the Ube Cheesecake and Leche Flan, and she recommended the leche flan since it was limited time flavor. I'm sooo glad I listened because it did NOT disappoint. Lowkey still thinking about it and regret not getting a pint since it's gone now oh and the Bananam Slam is also very good. The portions are also crazy worth it--a single scoop is basically a double. It's topped with a wafer (to me it tasted like a fortune cookie) If you ever get the chance to catch them, definitely go. This is officially one of my go-to spots now.
