The first time I tried I ended up having to go somewhere else that got me in the same day after Baker Vision told me it would be several days. Because I really like Baker Vision, I decided to keep going and did a follow-up appt with her. She helped me and my eye improved for several weeks. When I started having problems again, I called and said I needed an appt. They told me it would be weeks. So I told them that it was pretty debilitating and had difficulty seeing and she offered me an appt for over 24hrs away. I understand that they are busy, but if you are having a major issue and tell them that, they should be able to get you in sometime that day. Or what's the point in going there if you can't get in when you really need it. I guess my family and I will go somewhere else to get established and hope that we can get in quicker if we have problems.

Our family had been loyal customers for years. Dr.Quinn is a phenomenal physician, however, since…read moreoffice management has changed it is obvious that they now value profit more than patient satisfaction. I have both health insurance and Humana exam and materials vision insurance. My exam today was an annual exam to get prescription updates for both glasses and contacts. This is covered with a $10 copay with my vision insurance. I did agree for "additional" tests which I was told would be scheduled a few months later which would require the use of my health insurance at that time. However when I left my visit, without having the "additional testing" which I was told would cost $65.00 at a later date, I was presented with a $127 copay, and they used my health insurance instead of vision insurance. I didn't purchase contacts/glasses- and did NOT agree to any additional testing other than what I was told would be scheduled at a later date. Quinn eye center office mgt. chose to use my health insurance instead of my vision insurance adding one item (which I had NOT previously agreed to not been informed of cost) claiming they were "saving" me money. When I attempted to resolve this issue, speaking with both Christine and John Michael, I received 2 different rationales for this cost. I cannot recommend an eye doctor who charges a $127 copay for annual eye exam when the patient has vision insurance that would cover these items with only a $10.00 copay. After appointment, I called my Humana vision insurance representative who indeed told me that both contact and eyeglass prescriptions are included in their annual eye exam with only a $10 copay. It is very sad because we have been loyal patients for years. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend them any more.

But never heard back for about 2 weeks. Then Summer replied to set up a phone call interview, no time frame for the phone interview was scheduled. I gave her my availability for her to pick a day and time she would like to do the phone interview she called me and I missed the call. I immediately called her back and was sent to her voicemail. The next day I messaged her on indeed stating I returned her call and let her a message, no answer for several days. So I came into the office to introduce myself since there was a bit of back and forth and waiting for a reply. I waiting 30 mins before Summer came to speak with me. Now for the interesting part..... I'll tell you. I have never in my life had such an unprofessional interview in my life!!! First of all Summer didn't introduce herself. I was told to come into her office and sit, no eye contact or anything she looked over my resume. And asked about why I left a previous employer and stated I have been to a lot of eye practices, stating that when she sees an applicant that has been to that many offices she assumes that they are a "the problem." I corrected her stating that several of the eye doctors offices were internships from when I was in College for my A.S degree as an Ophthalmic Technician at FSCJ. I informed her that I only worked at 2 Doctors offices and the latest one merged with another practice. Then the interview made a weird turn of her cussing at me and talking about how she does not tolerate drama, and went over the attendance policy. Her words "if you do not have PTO you cannot take off." " I don't tolerate the petty shit. I had taken a long time to get the office to have a certain culture and I'm not going to ruin that on someone like that." She even called her own manager a "bitch" which was super unprofessional. And talked about how her current manager above her doesn't do much and how she has so many responsibilities in her position. Summer also asked me about a former employee I worked with at my former employers office wanting to know why they were terminated and if he's a good employee. Again very unprofessional. And the interview is pertaining to myself not someone else! I felt like I was being scolded by my mother. I have never been cussed out and scolded in an interview or accused to being a job hopper or a problem! I understand every office has an attendance policy and what is not tolerated. But to be scolded and cussed at as if I did something wrong. Yeah no thanks! I've meet many of Coastal visions previous employees that left because of management, and I can see exactly why!
