Was given a contract (original was not itemized) for some work to be done around the house. The…read morecontract/ time we were on their schedule was for 32 hours of work Mon-Thurs to have fascia replaced and our house scraped and painted. The owner was here a total of 18-20 hours over the course of Mon-Sat while his helper was here for a total of 32 hours over Wed-Sat. It took 2 people all that time to replace fascia boards, and since 2 days in to the project we were told that the painting will not be getting done, they offered to fix a few other things that needed to be fixed I.e taking out a few windows and boarding them up, filling in a gable vent, replacing soffits. The owner left numerous times for "meetings" that had been scheduled during our scheduled work time, only to find out that he was doing maintenance in his other properties he manages, leaving his helper who was not comfortable doing the jobs that this company was hired for as he had not been properly trained. We supplied all the materials, (at their request) as well as additional supplies I.e ladder, ladder stabilizer, plywood. We then received a bill for almost $3,200 when the work had not even been completed. This bill also lists hours for work that is completely incorrect, and includes rental of scaffolding for the painting, which was never done and scaffolding was never rented. We were eventually told we only had to pay the original $2,000 that we were quoted due to our dissatisfaction but are still paying the extra $400 due to them fudging the total number of hours that were actually worked. The better business bureau doesn't look too kindly on companies who make up hours worked. This company has a LONG way to go before I would even think about referring anyone to them. Lesson learned, don't hire friends or family to do work for you.

Water seeping through your ceiling and walls is shocking and disheartening. But what I found myself…read morefocusing on in the first couple of hours of our disaster was the professionalism, expertise and kindness of the team from PuroClean. Within a half hour of calling late last Saturday evening, the PuroClean technician was at the door. Before leaving that night, he gave us his personal cell number and said to call him if we had any questions the next day - Sunday. We called; he returned our calls twice and answered all of our questions. And the same technician returned Monday morning and the next several mornings as well to check on the dryness. It wasn't clear early on whether there would be insurance coverage, so we appreciated that PuroClean was thoughtful in determining which sections of drywall, built-in cabinetry and flooring needed to be removed to expedite drying. We spoke several times with the PuroClean office personnel in the following days, and they, too, were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. If we ever have another mishap, we would absolutely call PuroClean. Just very nice people providing remarkable, competent service.
