The donuts are obvi good but they are like cinnamon sugar (powdered sugar).

Then the bathrooms--holy hell. You ever walk into a place and think, "Oh, I guess the zombie apocalypse already happened"? That was the vibe. Floors sticky enough to rip your shoes off, smell like someone's been fermenting cider in there since the '90s. I'm not saying I'm a bathroom snob, but for a place that charges artisan-pastry prices, maybe throw some bleach around once in a while. Overall--yeah, I'll probably still go back. I have heard of their food from friends and happened upon them at an event in St. Johns. They served up a full menu of brisket, burnt ends, pork, ribs, and chicken. They also had an apple slaw and loaded mashed potatoes, along with their signature sauces. It was all delicious. I had their meats taco-style, one chicken and one pork with slaw and a spicy crema (sour cream). The meat was so smoky with a robust flavor that wasn't salty. The slaw and cream amplified the flavors of the meat, and didn't distract from it. Before leaving, I picked up a plate of what was left, chicken and burnt ends. My partner ate some last night after the drive home, and I just finished some (24 hours later). The flavor is still spot on, and the meat is still tender. The owners of this BBQ joint seem to love what they do. They do it very well. I can't wait to track them down again.
