My husband and I just left this gas station... i was in the car. The man inside was EXTREMELY RUDE when my husband went inside sans mask (All clear from Gov Baker as of yesterday!) to buy a soda and cigarettes. We don't have our masks anymore, wore them faithfully everywhere until yesterday. He threatened to call the police on my husband and insulted him, saying "What do you know about this country, you're from Ireland!!" And then proceeded to lecture him on politics... huh?? Not good business sense. My husband and I are both self employed and know the value of being polite and welcoming, and NOT being rude, or unprofessional. I used to get gas here every week, will never return and will be sure to tell everyone I know. Wow. Was amazed at this level of oddity and rudeness.

King Petroleum - Hand them a $20, get no change and this amount of gas. Yes, you've been warned.

I have never been so appalled with a customer service experience in my entire life! I will be…read moreuploading a picture for proof here in case the manager reads it, who also happened to be not on site at the time. I was even more shocked to realize I'm not the only person who has ever been scammed by these guys, read the other reviews and then avoid this place at all costs. So it began about 2 PM on a Wed afternoon. I asked for $20 in gas as I was just about empty and wanted to get close to a half a tank. I'm on my lunch break and in a hurry so I never turned around to see how much was given to me, my mistake....which I immediately rectified after handing the guy a $20 bill and leaving the station. As I'm heading down the road I notice the needle only approaches a quarter tank, that can't be right. Just to ensure I'm not going crazy, I make a right, go around the block and I'm back in my SAME EXACT SPOT within 1-2 minutes. And guess what, it reads that I was only given $10 (picture uploaded). This is where it gets good.... "Hey buddy, I don't recognize you, you weren't here". That got me fuming and we began a verbal altercation. I kept testing him to pull some tapes of me being there after he a) threatened to call the cops on me b) said the tapes would prove that I WASNT there. No dice, no tape was ever reviewed. A mechanic had to come out and break up our altercation, I don't exactly enjoy being called a liar when a quick view of a video surveillance camera would prove otherwise. The station attendant was a complete jackass about the entire situation. I ended up filling out a "customer complaint form" which I also have picture proof of, along with the same exact spot I was sitting in and what the attendant put in my tank, asking for my money back. I'm not holding my breathe on this one, according to their track record, I'll be shocked to see this rectified. Not only is this station an issue on Yelp, but I've discovered the police have been called on numerous occasions regarding the same exact issue. http://woburn.patch.com/articles/police-log-cops-return-to-king-petroleum I'll gladly update my review and even move it up a few stars if I am reimbursed by the place that originally tried to scam me. Other than that, you can't say you were never warned.

This morning, for the second time, i requested $40 of 93 octane (my car can only handle 91 or higher), and they tried to fill 89 octane, hoping i wouldn't look at the pump. Both times i caught it, they claimed i said 89, but begrudgingly switched to 93 (but only for the remaining amount, they didn't eat their mistake). i called a manager and he hung up on me (no manager on site, just reachable by phone). i'm not going back there, but if you do, keep your eye on the pump. http://www.pricingforprofit.com/pricing-strategy-blog/secret-cash-cow-for-gas-stations-89-octane.htm

The business operations and the workplace culture are both equally poor. Why is it that after 5 PM--while the tunnel wash is still open--the convenience carts with towels and window cleaner are consistently empty? This isn't an occasional issue; it's a regular, predictable problem, and it reflects ongoing management neglect. What makes it worse is the attitude. When I've pointed out the empty carts, the cashier or manager inside the convenience store has told me to "talk to the guys in the car wash." That's unacceptable. It shouldn't be my responsibility as a customer to track down employees and coordinate basic service tasks. Even then, the car wash staff often respond with attitude, as if I'm an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. This repeated experience signals deeper issues: poor leadership, lack of accountability, and a bad workplace culture. It's long overdue for Scrub a Dub's ownership to step out of the office and take a closer look at what's happening at their locations. This company appears to have grown too large and lost the service standards and culture its founder originally envisioned. Management on the ground is clearly not doing its job. I'm fed up with this place. If it weren't for the quality of the tunnel car wash, I'd avoid it entirely.
