WHAT HAPPENED: Purchased under $20 of gas and they placed a MASSIVE $100+ hold on my debit card - over 5 times my actual purchase! When I went inside to address this OUTRAGEOUS policy, the staff was incredibly rude, dismissive, and treated me like I was bothering THEM. THIS IS NOT NORMAL! I've been to hundreds of gas stations and NEVER experienced anything this predatory. Most stations hold $1 or maybe $50 maximum. This location is deliberately tying up customers' money to generate interest or cause overdraft fees.
