The food that was sitting in the tray was thrown away because it had been over 20 minutes. I was in shock but appreciative. The aroma when you walk inside makes you feel as if you have walked into your families home for Sunday dinner, it smelled that good. The chicken flats (spicy) were outstanding. The mashed potatoes & gravy were divine and the mac-n-cheese needed a tad more seasoning but it was good. The cook was so sweet. He made me feel welcome and he listened to make sure my order was prepared correctly. Huck's Kitchen is a 10 out of 10. I will pass up all the drive through chicken spots on Lindbergh just to get FRESH made to order food with Zero attitude. Great job!

I have visited this store at least 3 times a week (usually more) for 12 years. I went in tonight…read morefor cigarettes. One of the cashiers was counting or sorting some papers. The other was a young girl with curly blonde hair and glasses. She must be fairly new because I'm not sure that I've seen her there before. The line was long - about 4 customers in front of me and, eventually, another 4 or 5 behind. When it was my turn, I requested a pack of cigarettes. She retrieved and scanned them and then asked for my ID. I was a little surprised but thought it must be a new policy. As I was getting my wallet to show her my ID, she said, "If you don't have it I can't sell them to you, and then called out, NEXT." I showed her my ID and paid for my cigarettes. I had to laugh. I'm 68 years old, so it's not even a close call. I understand that some stores have this policy and it has nothing to do with my apparent age. At one time, this store had a policy of asking for ID from everyone, but they haven't done so in years. As I was leaving, another patron made a comment about the absurdity. The cashier then shouted at me, "Don't come back again without your ID!" ?? The ID she had just look at? I explained that I'm not usually carded there and asked if I was a new policy. I believe she said, "Yes." I was not happy with her rudeness and lack of professionalism. When I asked her name, she rattled off something intelligible and refused to repeat it.

Fast service? No. Friendly service? Yes. Locally owned? Yes…read more This place is always busy. Don't freak out when you see a line waiting to check out. They'll get to you soon enough! Their location makes them very convenient, it's just too bad their front lot is so tight (you can park on either side or in the back lot.) They have some great pricing on some things (beer, smokes, candy) yet not as great on chips and sodas. They have very good coffee and feature Paul's Donuts and some other good looking snack-food items which, even though I have not tried them, do seem to be popular. Regardless, the main point of a gas station is gas after all, and they are usually the first station in this area to lower the price.

He is absolutely horrible with customer service and. to deal with . I thought well maybe it's me and so I took my grown kids and a friend on different occasions when this man was working and sure enough he treated them with the same disrespect and smart @$$ attitude . I was truly hoping it was me . I can put money on the fact that he is raciest cause it definitely shows the minute you walk in the store. I'm pretty sure he truly hates his job . He should be fired. There are a lot of other candidates that would be a better fit for the store . I also have another issue I would like to address, the employee that works before this man mentioned seems to dislike his job also because he's in a huge hurry to get out of there and does his shift change duties about 20 minutes early (alot) because whoever comes in between that time better not plan to pay with cash or need gas either because he can't take it and ur on ur own . I hope these problems are fixed because that's the closest gas station to my home . Thank you!
