I have lived at PBT awhile. This is independent living for seniors 55+. There is an income limit. Most apartments are HUD subsidized or will be when the resident is eligible. The apartment is very nice. This is an older building and things break. The maintenance guys are great at what they do. The building is kept pretty clean. There are many common areas where people play cards, talk, watch TV, etc. There is a little activity group that organizes activities like BINGO, wii bowling, movies, coffees and special things. Residents also lead activities. There is a small snack shack. Outside, there is a smoking area. Dogs have a place for little walks and stuff dogs do. The laundry room needs all new machines. There is a one person beauty shop. There is a new manager, LaLa, who is nice, and works hard. She is still learning the ropes. There is a Resources person who is great. She helps residents find the things they need to help them with many issues like food stamps, health insurance, housekeeping help. She sets up programs, van trips to the grocery and other places. I have never seen anyone work harder than Nancy and she deserves a lot of credit. read more
