Looking at the menu one of the members informed me of the best dishes. I wqs happy enough to be able to order lumpia and pancit. Hands down best damn filipino food ever. It brought me bacj when i was i little kid eating all the foods from my Lolo's potluck parties. The next day i went back and ordered the pork adobo. Once again it took me back to when i was a kid sitting up at my Lolo's bar swinging my legs and clearing my plate of food. They also have good prices and merchandise, IMO. Their tofu prices and options beat any of the grocery stores that I've seen, and I recently picked up some apples there- at less than half the cost of the grocery store north of them- and the apples were really fresh. Another cool thing about this place is that they're willing to special-order stuff- like if you want a case or two of some item (I drink lots of soy milk). They get things in on Friday, so that can be a busy day to shop- lots of customers. But, most of the time, I've had at most one person in front of me- and it went quickly. Don't expect a store that works like fast-fast Western culture. It's more relational. Also, some of the workers know several languages- and English isn't always their first one. So, if they haven't seen you before, they might not make the first step to talk to YOU- just like a person who learned Thai as a SECOND language might not if they were in Thailand- However, if someone there seems that way, if you smile and speak to them, I've always found them MORE than friendly, quite able to understand and communicate, and also very helpful. In fact, some of the things I've come to like the most were things that one of the staff pointed out to me, when I was buying something that was sort of similar. It's fun, sometimes, to just wander around in the store and look at stuff- at least for me. It's amazing how much of a variety they've been able to fit in AND keep nicely organized. Plus, they've done it in a lot less space than most stores/ storekeepers would need to do the same. If you use some Oriental/Asian food ingredient in any kind of quantity, need something special, OR just want a fun and different place to look around, I'd say definitely check them out.

I travel a lot for work and have been disappointed lately with other filipino restaurants, either the portions are small or they mess up a simple pancit bihon dish. If you're looking for more fresh Asian vegetables or frozen fish, this store is for you. If you're looking for a greater selection of sauces, dried noodles, mushrooms, etc., check out Columbia Oriental Market across town. This store was smaller than I thought it was going to be inside and the options didn't seem as great as Columbia Oriental. That said, the vegetable section here is bigger than that at Columbia Oriental. But, I believe they probably have the same supplier as having gone to both stores in one day, they seem to have the same selection with the same freshness (this place just had more out on display with all the more space). So, depending on what you need or are looking for, this may be the better grocery store for you! For me personally, I prefer and will go to Columbia Oriental Market over this place simply because I don't think they have as many options when it comes to sauces, powder mixes, and dried foods. The Filipino cultural center in Wapato has dine in or takeout Filipino food from 1130 to 530 every Thursday, and the stuff is absolutely awesome. We came down for meeting and enjoyed some chicken adobo, rice noodles and lumpia - a Filipino version of a spring roll. All of the food was absolutely awesome. Incredibly flavorful, not too heavy and the portions were excellent. There is plenty to eat the next day, which was nice because it was so boss. It's a real bummer they don't have a food truck, or have this place open more often, but the scarcity of it makes it all the more awesome! All the proceeds go towards the community center, which is run by an incredible group of folks who have been doing some great things in the community for a long time. This is one of those places that's easy to not know about, but one you need to go check out!
