I was subsequently recommended Computrix through a friend of mine who has used them on several occasions with highly positive feedback. Upon contacting Computrix, I was greeted by a delightful person by the name of Gurminder. He advised me to bring the laptop in with a 'no evaluation fee'. I took my laptop in the morning and recieved a phone call 3 hours later with an update on what the problem was, how much it was going to cost and how long it would take. Firstly I would like to add that the cost of repair was extremely competitive (upon cost comparison with their competitors) and secondly, the turnaround time was quicker than they stated. My laptop came back shining and looking brand new. I have complete faith and confidence to go back to Computrix should any other issue occur. They can fix a range of computer issues and do onsite board repairs. I highly recommend Computrix. Thank you for restoring confidence back in my laptop. I have since had no issues with it at all.

Hes got no clue what he is doing. VERY sloppy and dishonest person. Instead of repairing my power jack (he said its very easy job) he burned the processor and couple other components with soldering gun. He was holding my laptop for 5 months. In the meantime he made many excuses and lied to me several times just to finally admit that he was not honest with me and had no skills, nor equipment to establish what he broke, therefore repair it. He promised to send the laptop to a professional service on his cost and assured me that he did it. When after couple more weeks of waiting I contacted the mentioned service it turned to be just another of his lies. He explained himself that he was broke and had no money to send my laptop elsewhere. Later 2 different repair shops send back the laptop because they were not able to fix what he broke. They described the damages as severe and his job as very sloppy. When after months I finally got my laptop repaired by the original service and presented him the bill he said he will not pay me back the money for what HE damaged. I asked officials to step in. He is not responding anymore. By the way: the only positive reviews are from his wife's account. Do NOT trust this guy.

This disappointed me initally, but upon going back to discuss the issue, PCHealthcare agreed to order in a higher quality part. This cost an extra £20 above the quoted price of £65, but the difference is night and day - MUCH closer to an original Apple (in my case) part. I would thoroughly recommend anybody going in for a screen replacement, who is willing to pay a little extra and wait a little longer, discuss this with the staff at PCHealthcare first. Some may not see the difference, but I did and the replacement still cost HALF of what Apple charges (out of warranty). Thank you to Jamie and co. for being so accommodating, I'll definitely be coming back if I ever have the need.
