I remember when cars was damage there was no hesitation in taking care of the customer's issue. 6 years later, I do not know what happened to that standard. I have never heard of a company providing bad oil for vehicles and then not having any accoutnability for it. My mechanic advised that the oil was extremely bad. Both my vehicles engines have gone bad behind the oil provided by Take 5 and the manager talked to my wife soooo disrespectful about this situation, i will never take my car to Goo-Goo car wash, Take 5 or any other company associated with Driven Brands. I usually wouldn't put this type of review but when your manager dodges any accountability, talks to my wife crazy and then accuse me of sabotaging my own cars, there is nothing else to talk about. These folks care more about their bottom line than doing the right thing. There is no excuse. If I could give a 0 star I would. I will be filing a BBB report and I will not be letting this go. Your managers need to be fired and your quality of oil has caused issues to more than just my cars and the reviews from FL and the other area stores have similar stories to mine. Your quality of oil is crap from top to bottom and the level of care for your faithful customers is crap. If you want to make sure your car gets good service and good oil, do not come to Take 5. THEY WONT BE ACCOUTNABLE when they mess up. 0 quality. 0 on service. 0 on value.

1 Star I brought my…read more2016 Kia Cadenza to Mavis Tires & Brakes (1011 25th Ave, Phenix City) on Dec 19, 2025 for a routine oil change. Three days later the engine failed. The car had to be towed back to the same location, where staff documented that the engine had no oil. After the failure, I was told the vehicle must have had an oil leak and had been driven "without oil for an extended period." However: * No oil leak or low oil condition was documented on the Dec 19 service invoice * I was never warned the vehicle was unsafe to drive * The failure happened within three days of their oil change An independent inspection by Kia Autosport of Columbus confirmed internal engine failure consistent with oil starvation and found no evidence of long-term neglect. I have attempted to contact Mavis corporate multiple times and received no response. A routine oil change should not result in a destroyed engine and silence from the company responsible.

Where do I start…read more...... Called Josh on a thursday to enquire about 4 new goodyear wrangler GT tires that I wanted put on my 1991 isuzu trooper. Called him back friday and he told me the price for all 4 tires including installation, balancing, taxes and fees would be $565.00 out the door for a set of four. Good enough! So I come in monday at 9 for my scheduled appointment and a guy asks for my keys which i give over no problem, he does his 10 minute inspection then we go inside. He asks me for my keys again to which I reply "I think I gave them to you". I hurried back out to my vehicles searching frantically and after 5 minutes walked back into the shop. I told him "you have my keys" to which he reaches in his back pocket and says "Oh yeah I do sorry" It was an omen of things to come. I said "ill be back around lunch to pick it up if thats ok" the guy replied "theres no one in the bay well have it done in about an hour and some change". So I left with my wife in her car. Not even ten minutes later I get a call stating they've broken a lug nut stud and have to replace it and charge me for the stud plus labor and that they new total will be $759.00 dollars now. I should have just said put my old tires on ill haul it back to my house and do it. Im a mechanic with a shop locally I just dont have a tire balancer or bead breaker so Ive always used a tire shop. I get back to the place around 1:20pm, pay exactly $700, 150 more than I was told on the phone but no big deal sometimes its life. But now for the kicker, I get in the car, get 3 miles down the road and stop to get gas, I take the tire pressure tool from my center console and check the PSI. 30PSI in one tire, 40PSI in another, 25 In the other and 12 PSI on the front driver side tire. They were so incompetent they forgot to tighten the valve stem and air was leaking from it. I paid 3 bucks in quarters at the gas station to fill up the tire to 35 PSI then drove another 3-4 miles and stoppped and checked the pressure, this time it was down to 15 PSI. After dealing with them, the hagling and upselling on the price, and after spending 700 bucks getting a flat, I decided to just drive all the way home health and pride be dammed. I will NEVER EVER EVER use Mavis and I will never recommend Friends, Family or my automotive customers to ever use them again. One outta One star would not recommend. BUYER BEWARE
