They are very old and dated... possibly back to the 1980's. They are the most effective, the least that I found in my search. The laundry is down a dark stairwell to the basement with one washer and one dryer for 8 apartments. The management people are also hard to get ahold of when requesting a tour. read more

Stephanie is amazing and whenever I had an issue with the apartment, maintenance was there within a day or so (pending importance) to fix it. I had rented an apartment here for 3 years. It's a very quiet, clean place to live. New complex maintenance is outstanding, quickly addressing any issues you may encounter with the apartment or complex itself, if any, including lawn maintenance trash and snow removal. The owners are great people and with the new management the complex is getting even better and better everyday. Stephanie is amazing, very friendly, understanding, caring and quickly gets back to you when contacted. Very affordable apartments in a clean, quiet atmosphere where deer and wildlife run right through your yard. I really have nothing negative to say about this complex at all. It was a pleasure living here and wish I could've stayed, but life happens and it was more convenient for me to relocate due to work or I would still be there! I don't even know where to begin. My girlfriend and I, a couple in our early-mid twenties. I was largely fine with living wherever as long as it was clean, safe for her, and not extremely far from work. She ended up finding these apartments a stones throw from her parents house and where she grew up. She was inexperienced in apartment hunting and rushed through the tour. She texted me right away and I more or less agreed. This was my fault for not coming to check the place out myself. I'll start with the apartment itself. Filthy. Fan wasn't cleaned in Lord knows how long, entire bathroom had to be scrubbed with bleach and whatever other chemicals, kitchen had to be scrubbed floor to ceiling. Eventually, when it got cold, we found out a window was extremely drafty and has to be "taped up" in winter. Again, more on us than anyone, but still important. The issue is with the property management people, Alicia and her boyfriend/husband/whoever he is. Our apartment is a 2bdr and it was verbally agreed to that the spare bedroom that was an ungodly baby blue color was to be painted either before we move in or soon after. Flash forward weeks after we're in and it still isn't painted and not only that, they are trying to weasel out of painting it because it wasn't in writing. This was before a friend who lives here warned us to always get everything in writing from this woman otherwise it will become an issue. 6 weeks after we move in its finally painted. Except they did the shoddiest paint job I have ever seen. They came back for another coat and while better still looked terrible. I took pictures and it was apparent that it wasn't acceptable so about 8-9 weeks after move in our spare room is painted. Prior to this, the week we moved in, they came over to discuss some stuff with us. Once the official business was done the convo immediately switched to gossiping about the other tenants. While our friend had warned us about them doing things like this and us making it apparent we don't give a damn about the high school drama, it still continued. The biggest issue thus far was today after a big snow storm. The snow emergency procedure they posted on our doors literally says, word for word(will post below) "...move all vehicles into the roadways between the time of 10 Am and 2 Pm to allow the plow to completely clear the lot." It doesn't say BY 10 Am, it doesn't say BEFORE 10 Am, it says IN BETWEEN 10 Am - 2 Pm. Around 11am today I get a text from my girlfriend saying she was called and to move the cars. As i'm getting ready to go do that Alicia calls me and right off the bat is yelling, incredibly rude and aggressive, and for no reason. I didn't say anything or do anything. At this point I get angry for being yelled and chastised for nothing and explain to her what the sheet exactly says. Still fuming she says "I KNOW what the document says!" and proceeded to say I was wrong, insist that I misunderstood/misread it, everyone else got it why didn't you, etc etc. Regardless of being tired and overworked (if even the case) you don't yell at the customer for giving you $5 for a cheeseburger when the menu says its $5 when its actually $8, you "yell" at the person who listed the price wrong. Not just that, but you don't imply the person is dumb and can't read simple directions when its clearly stated in front of them and you're the wrong one. There have been other minor issues with them such as stating the first time we lock ourselves out is free and after that its a charge. Well, we locked ourselves out for the first time the other night and she straight up said we had to pay for them to come, until I reminded her that it was our first time doing it. Possibly just forgot or does she get enough people with that to make some good side money? Our shower didn't have hot water and neither of us showered yet so I called after checking multiple times over an hour period. They checked the hot water tank the next morning (actually very surprising) and said it was fine but the way it sounded you'd think I asked them to climb Everest for me. You don't have to go out of your way to be nice but Christ every encounter is something else. I have pictures of stuff like the blue room and some of the filth but unless requested I won't take the time to post. Learn from our mistakes. Don't move in here. It isn't even cheap, around $950-$1k for a 2bdr that is quite old. Can NOT wait to move out. read more

Pheasant Run Apts - the day after storm of 3 or more - Apartments Near Me - Voorheesville, New York

The owners of these apartments are unscrupulous, terrible people. Motivated by greed, they unfairly, and without cause, evicted my elderly parents. My parents lived there for over 35 years. They took very good care of their apartment, always paid their rent on time, and were quiet tenants. Because my little sister's boyfriend did damage in a separate apartment they rented (not my parents' apartment), my parents were forced by the owners to go on a month-to-month lease (even though they had nothing to do with the boyfriend's actions). One day, my mother saw the landlord outside and she asked if she could ask him a question, he told her no, so she walked away. Later that day, my parents received a phone call from the apartment manager saying they had to 30 days to move out. The owners had no grounds on which to evict them. The owners tried to blame my parents for a fire which happened inside of wall (due to faulty wiring) and made up a few other lies as excuses for asking them to leave because they had no real reason - except for the fact that they could rent out their apartment for a much higher monthly rent if they rented it to new tenants. If you are looking for an apartment in the area, you're better off renting from a private owner or looking in one of the nearby towns. read more
