The front desk was extremely rude, online pre check in is pointless because she "can't see that small" personally your vision isn't my issue. then waited 40 min, after my appointment again the front desk made me very uncomfortable and unwelcome, I had my card out to pay and she says "as a reminder we don't take American Express", you could've asked if I had a different card, mind you first time there and hearing that so the attitude is unnecessary. mind you I didn't know in the first place- she reply's with "there should be a sign out there - the place is under construction, not sure how they are operating because it's a mess. TIP: because you hate your life doesn't mean you put it on other people but I thought that was something everyone with a job should know. read more

We've been here several times for small procedures and skin concerns and the care we've received has always been great. Today I had an appointment at 9:30, I was told they're charging 3% to use credit card. To avoid this, I wanted to pay with cash or check but was told they do not accept cash or check. I have been a patient here 17 years but with this new policy I will not be returning and I will contact the Florida Regulators. I also contacted my attorney and was told that cash is US legal tender and cannot be refused. read more

The South Tampa office is amazing! Dr. Lindsey, well there are no words to describe how awesome he is at his job! Just his overall being! He is what gets the 5 stars..... However....I will say, Sandy, in the billing department, is the devil from hell, who has no compassion or empathy! She comes across with a sarcastic, non-caring attitude and tries to dictate to you what you are "going" to do. No trying to reason with her. Very inconsistent booking. The system will automatically cancel the appointment without giving you notice. The appointments are usually a month away if you tries to get back on booking. They refuse to fix the system or provide any solutions. read more

The PA was brand new friends on the job and she ordered all of these tests that ended up costing over $2000 with no notice to patient. When calling to question, they said it wasn't their problem it was the lab who billed t and to take it up with the lab. PA's very inexperienced and lack knowledge, we had to seek out alternative after 2 meds and an MD derm was able to diagnosis and treat immediately with severe costs. read more

I had a difficult time getting a prescription filled at Walgreens on Platt St. The prescription was filled the previous 4 months, but for some reason they felt the Doctor wrote the prescription wrong and world not full it this month. Long store short, Amber at the South Tampa Location called Walgreens on my behalf to sort out the mess. She was on hold for one hour. When Walgreens would not pick up the phone, she left the South Tampa office and personally went to Walgreens to speak to them. The Dr wrote the prescription correctly, by the way. I've never had a someone from a doctor's office personally go to a pharmacy to make sure a client got what they needed. Such incredible customer service! Thank you Amber! As an attorney, I strongly recommend against accepting any services from Palm Harbor. Regardless of the quality of the service, accepting any medical treatment here places you in a difficult financial position. The "Consent to Treat" form is actually a trick to get you to pay for any number of services. read more

I see Ashley, ARNP at Sheldon Rd office. A number of years ago she detected a skin cancer very early. And later did fillers for me. She is an artist when giving the fillers. Gets it even and looking just right. Gave me good advice about doing some laser treatment . Also her medical assistant is warm and helpful. read more

Extremely disappointed with this office. I had a test done that was not done correctly/was inconclusive, and they are now requiring me to pay for another office visit and another test at the super affordable price of $570 (we're talking a simple test). They refused to work with me at all even though it was their fault, and now won't return voicemails or emails. If you're looking for a Dermatologist, I'd look elsewhere. read more

I've been going to this office for years and don't have anything bad to say about the actual doctors that work here. The front desk staff is who is ruining it for the medical professionals that work here. I've been trying to go through the process of starting Accutane for two months. When you decide to start Accutane, there is a one month waiting period before you can begin treatment. I made my first appointment to start the process of starting Accutane was told all I needed to do was wait the one month and get bloodwork done. When I went to the office to pick up my paperwork, the receptionist couldn't answer any of my questions and didn't give me half of the paperwork I knew I needed from having an appointment earlier that day. After having to specifically ask for the Accutance booklet w/ my registration information and bloodwork order, she finally gave me the right paperwork. Then, I called back the next week (since the last receptionist didn't know the answer to my questions) to ask when I was supposed to complete the bloodwork. I was told to do my bloodwork before my next appointment, so I did. Fast forward one month, had my final appointment to get approval to start Accutane and was told I'm ready to go. Then, I got a call from the front desk telling me that they forgot to register me in the system, my bloodwork has to be re-done, I have to make another appointment with the doctor, and wait another week before I can even pick up my prescription. I am prone to passing out and having seizures when I get bloodwork, so it is a big ordeal for me to set time aside, coordinate with my boyfriend to take time off work to drive me there, etc. I don't understand how their admin staff can mess this up and be so dismissive about such a big mistake! read more

I have been to several Ph Derm offices in the area. The MacDill location is by far the BEST! I have had Mohs surgery with Dr. Lindsey and it was painless. My regular doc is Dr. Barbulescu and she is AMAZING! I am there every 3 months and the office staff is always courteous and professional. read more

I have had a variety of skin issues, being an outdoor woman and Florida resident. I have seen many of the professionals at PHDermatology, even venturing across the bay for fraxel laser surgery. Appointments are honored. I've even been called in early. I like the texting they communicate with--even getting a more convenient appointment due to a cancellation and their text to me. Having multiple locations and services is very consumer friendly. Doctor visits and facials in adjacent spaces is convenient. Their P.A.s and their P.A.'s assistants are very personable yet professional. You will keep coming back! read more

Absolute worst Dermatology office I've ever been to. Absolutely MAIMED me when I had a biopsy done, that left a gigantic scar for a small mole. I have had about 20 skin biopsies in my life, and none were ever done even close to this poorly. I then saw a different practitioner after this incident who absolutely REFUSED to treat my acne with anything except Accutane. Since I'm a woman of child bearing age I wasn't willing to take a drug that could cause severe birth defects. The doctor did not agree with my choice, so wouldn't help me with any other options, and basically just said too bad. I would avoid any practitioner at this office at all costs. read more

I have terrible eczema on my arms and no one seems to be able to treat it correctly. I decided to make an appointment for the South Tampa office when passing by last week and I just got done, and wow I was so impressed by how kind and courteous the staff is. Usually an office has a very sterile environment but I felt very welcomed by the staff right away. They listen to all of your concerns with your skin and assess the best treatment for you. I highly recommend PHDermatology. I have been there a few times at this point and every time has been wonderful. I have an embarrassing problem, but they were so warm and friendly that they made me feel at ease. Dr. Rinker was wonderful, as well as Jennifer and Anna Shaw. Jennifer actually patted my arm as I got stuck with a needle. I thought that was amazing. I called last minute for an appointment and they got me in. First time patient today - received EXCELLENT service from Dr. Hilarie Reinders. One of most thorough skin exams I have had and she was kind, patient and very clear in her communication. I left feeling good knowing the exam was thorough and any concerns with my skin would be tested. It was also a pleasant surprise not to have a Dermatology office focused on selling a specific product - Dr. Reinders was very good about not recommending or prescribing more than what was needed. The most poorly run operation in the city of Tampa. It's a bunch of young an educated non-professionals giving missed diagnosis and misinformation to unsuspecting people. I've never felt like I was in more of a spa and less of a doctors office in my entire life. I was given an all clear and then a week later was told that I had a cancer-causing cyst that needed to be removed by a real doctor not these skin care technicians parading around in lab coats like their actual doctors at PH dermatology. Please do not let any of your love ones go here it would be a grave mistake. The billing department was rude when I spoke to them about this and sent multiple threatening letters. I'm surprised that they haven't already been shut down by the Better Business Bureau Reputation or just a general sense of consciousness of how poorly run this dermatology center is read more
