I went to Ideal Image Tampa for laser hair removal and ended up with first- and second-degree burns across my buttocks and legs. This was only my second session, and I repeatedly told the provider during treatment that the pain felt abnormal, but the procedure continued anyway. The front of my legs (treated first) were fine, but once I flipped over, the settings must have been higher or not properly monitored because I ended up with severe burns and blisters. I had to go to urgent care, get a tetanus shot, and now have medical documentation showing my injuries. My doctor even noted that this is not just "skin sensitivity" as Ideal Image tried to imply. I am also dealing with pain, discomfort at work, stress, and the possibility of permanent scarring. When I reached out, Ideal Image downplayed my injuries, gave me Aquaphor, and told me "these things happen." They refused to cover medical costs or the money I had already paid ($500+), only offering to cancel the remainder of my package if I signed paperwork. Meanwhile, I still have an active financing account with payments scheduled. This is not acceptable for a company that brands itself as safe and professional. I am highly disappointed for the cool sculpting. I believe that this is definitely a waste of money, $6000 that I am still paying off and there is no change in my body. I have had trouble losing weight but hoping that this would have at least sculpted to look less of a big back. My back looks the same and so does my stomach. I have lost weight because I have done my part and exercised and watched what I ate and how much I ate and fasted for days. But this does NOT work! This is a follow up to my review on Ideal Image in May. For reference purposes, read that one first. You can see that customer service replied to my post, asking me to contact them. I did, and it took 3 emails and nearly a month for someone to respond. Their initial response basically said there's nothing they can do, I'm fully treated and that there's various reasons the laser treatments may not have worked (mostly blaming me; things like my hormones could be off). Fortunately for me, I'd recently had a full hormonal workup, and everything is normal. As I stated in my first review, I fully followed all of their recommendations, never missed a treatment, stayed out of the sun, etc etc. After this, I pushed back requesting a refund due to the lack of results (I am literally back to shaving every day) and was passed off two at least 3 different people. All of these "customer service" employees would dodge my emails, take weeks to respond and not answer their phones. Further, if I would miss their call, they'd give me a 1-800 number as a call back number and not a direct line. Here we are 3 months after my last review, and I was told from "the highest level" that they will not be refunding me and that I am welcome to come in any time for the lifetime guarantee rate that is part of my contract. Let me break that down for you. The areas I had treated are below, with the lifetime guarantee rate per session: -Lower Line Alba: $50 -Full Bikini: $100 -Lower Legs: $150 -Upper Legs: $150 -Peri A: $50 -Underarms: $75 -Upper lip: $50 Total: $625 How outrageous is this? I've already spent over $5000, 14 months going to treatments and now 8 months trying to get a refund or a better resolution than spending MORE money. From what I've learned, Ideal Image is not a customer oriented business. They do not care about your results, only about making money. I am a healthcare provider myself and am appalled by the entirety of this situation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. Do your research and find better local businesses. There are several companies and local providers who are cheaper to begin with, do not require you to be out of the sun, and have a lifetime guarantee that is included in your original pricing. Realistically laser hair removal does not permanently rid you of hair, it slows the growth, but will likely require touch ups or continued treatments. Honest laser hair removal providers will give you this information upfront and their pricing will reflect that. Read the reviews. There are SO many 1 star reviews. I wish I could give zero stars. I had my first Coolsculpting appt today and it was perfect! I am really unsure why there is so many negative reviews because I had a really great experience. The office is beautiful (newly renovated) and very clean. The staff was friendly and informative. Alina (hope I spelled that correctly) was specialist for the service. She explained the process, made me feel comfortable and even gave me a blanket because it did chilly. The time went by fast, but it's a good idea to bring a book or something to keep you occupied. I did not feel comfortable but decided he is a professional so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However, he made me feel very uncomfortable and made me feel less of a woman, less attractive. My last appointment I told the receptionist that I was moving and to cancel my future appointments and membership and she said she would take care of it. Instead of going into details, I will just say that the manager Jasmine jumped right on the problem when she was notified and rectified it immediately she then booked me with another provider/injector, and even moved my appointment up sooner, she was professional and seriously cared. I have been in the medical field since 1988 and I will definitely recommend ideal image and Brandon due to the way Jasmine the manager of the center took care of this problem. I'm not sure what was wrong with the lady who did my fifth treatment on 4/23/22 in the Tampa office on N Dale Mabry. This is ridiculous, and we live in hot Florida so how does one deal with burns when they have to work, clean, cook and take care of kids and dogs? They do it very uncomfortably! You must work overtime to hit that. Average sale is 2200 and must get 3 a day which is difficult unless you get 6 or 7 calls to close 45% to hit goal by month end. In 7 hours worked, I could get4 to 5 on an average day. Employees must work overtime to acheive goals. You are not told this in interview. Out if 260 consultants only 10% is hitting the numbers they advertise. read more

Don't believe them when they tell you your contract provides a lifetime guarantee or reduced pricing because they will not honor it. I called for a laser touch up and was told they could not find my records (they said they purge them every 2 years) so I would have to sign a consent form. It was not a consent form, but an entirely new contract that supersedes my original contract and provides for the higher pricing for touch ups, rather than $1 pay per pulse. I followed up several times and even reached out to their corporate counsel who could not be bothered to reply to me. Instead, I was told that my only option is to sign the new contract. I called the Tampa location to confirm and was told that I owed .06 cents and the person I was having this conversation charged my card for 6 cents.. and then asked me if I wanted to purchase dysport since the last time I had the injections was on 2018. I knew that I was not a fan of the hair on my back - what I didn't know was how lasers would remove that hair, or how much it would set me back in the bank account. I have found the staff at Ideal Image to be nothing short of professional, competent and consistent. From the initial consultation to the progression of treatments, they have cared for me as though I was their only patient. The premise is clean and orderly. The equipment is well maintained and perhaps more importantly, the specialists not only know what they are doing, but they take the time to communicate their intentions and explain what to expect during the treatment(s). I have had a few really caring and easy to work with practitioners here but I've also had several who were rude and not listening to me or who tried so hard to upsell me services they think it's appropriate to comment on where else they think I have flaws lol. Like let's get you naked and point out yours. Anyway, I have to say what I dislike most is that you will have a different person each time you go to fulfill your package so especially if you're getting intimate areas done about 12 people will have seen you completely naked by the time you're done and you'll have to have the same conversation over and over each time with said new person. Also, for the first 6-8 months I would get constant text reminders as my appointment approached. They abruptly ceased that practice without notice and I've now had two no show fees (of $50 each) which quite frankly I wonder if they stopped the reminders on purpose to generate more revenue off of fees, but I'm speculating. I have requested the fees to be reversed given the new lack of confirmation but the manager refused. So in short, if you want to be treated poorly, berated about "where you could use some additional treatments", and treated by someone different each time all of whom tell you different things all while overpaying for services then you should definitely go here. read more

I probably would've left a good review but instead, I'm left with scars from being burned. All of the technicians I came in contact with were great and don't have a single complaint about any of them. My issue is with management and everyone above them. I was burned in August. The burns prevented me from scheduling my next appointments. The burns were so bad that I was immediately treated with ice packs and creams. I was unable to put on pants for weeks. Unable to take warm showers for weeks. Had to put my exercise routine on hold because I couldn't get into yoga pants and shorts were totally out of the questions as I had to make sure the burns stayed clean, not to mention they were awful looking. I had to purchase new clothing as my current wardrobe consisted of tight jeans/bottoms. I had to purchase creams and bandages to keep my legs from scarring too badly, and to alleviate and pain I was enduring. Whether the physical scarring, or emotional scarring is worse, I have yet to determine. It's December and I'm still heavily scarred. I missed appointments because of the extent of the burns and the only "I'm sorry" I got was by adding on the missed treatments (that I paid for) to the end of my contact...as if they would've somehow been out of the question to begin with. I'm told the scars will fade after spending time in the sun, which you're told not to do between sessions. So the theory to correct the hyperpigmentation won't be tested until I am no longer a client of Ideal Image. I'm having many areas treated and have only asked for compensation for the affected areas and have been denied and now, completely ignored by Johna Davies, the area manager. read more

I decided to get a quote for laser hair removal, lower legs, underarms and bikini area. I'd heard this company advertised on the radio several times and a recent ad stated they have a 60% discount. I called for a price but was told they cannot provide that information and a consultation was required. I asked if they would give me a price range since I have a tight schedule and didn't want to waste my time, but was told no. To make a long story short......the price was $7,898!!! That was with 60% discount. The original price was $19,746. Are they kidding me!!!!!!?????!!!! What a complete waste of time. (FYI I am pretty small and not particularly hairy). After clicking online that we were interested in a free quote, we were quickly contacted by a random employee that worked for Ideal Image through a Zoom meeting on my laptop. We were told this was the new client consult but we'd still be able to have a consult with the person performing our lip fillers because my mom and I were super nervous and unsure about the procedure. Plus, you can't have a proper consult/examine our face over a blurry computer screen so we wanted one in person. The woman on the Zoom told us we can always ask questions to the person doing the procedure at the appointment. So, we wanted to schedule with the person who'd actually be doing our fillers to get a real consult. This is when she said we had to pay up front to be put on the schedule. My mom and I were very hesitant because we were initially just wanting a "free consult" they offer. But we went ahead and paid upfront. WE WERE NEVER TOLD THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RECIVE A REFUND IF WE DECIDED NOT TO HAVE THE FILLER THERE! Ideal Image is now refusing to give me or my mother back our money for services we never received. They said their no refund policy is in contracts that they made us sign while on the Zoom consult - but the way the contracts were set up were to "click to sign" - boom boom boom - you're done. We (regrettably) didn't see it in the 5 seconds it took to sign. And again, the lady having us sign the contracts did not mention anything about not being able to receive refund. My mother and I decided we didn't want to go through with our lip filler appointments because we honestly started to feel like this wasn't the right company for us to use so we called in advance to cancel our reservations back in February 2022. While the local Virginia Beach staff was pleasant, when I called the corporate office in Tampa and spoke to Germaine, I had the most unpleasant experience. He even refused to transfer me to his supervisor. He put me on hold for 10 minutes only to come back to tell me to drive one hour to another location and continued to make excuses about equipment being down (which made no sense because no equipment was needed).
