Pharo Heating & Cooling has been servicing our furnace and air conditioners for many years. During our recent furnace inspection I mentioned how noisy the furnace blower was when it was running. It was determined that there were serious problems with some of the mechanics and that it was not safe to run because of high levels of carbon monoxide. At any rate, we decided to buy a new furnace from them and they were able to come out the next morning. Ryan and Seth were the technicians / installers that came out for the install. They arrived on time and were very courteous and safe throughout the process. They wore masks due to Covid-19, laid out tarps to protect our carpeting and cleaned up and put things back after they were done with the install. They also took time to go over the new thermostat and functions of the furnace and answered all of our questions. They even filled out and registered the warranty info with the manufacturer and also filled out forms for Focus on Energy rebates. Our central air had a terminal event on late Friday afternoon July 5th. So unfortunately we weren't able to start contacting HVAC places until Monday morning. Pharo was the first to be able to send an estimator out (Clint Pharo) on Tuesday morning. Pharo had been recommended by a friend who is in the trades & is familiar with most HVAC companies. By Tuesday afternoon Clint had gotten me a quote AND was able to come up with an install date of Friday morning the 12th, so I went with that as one week without A/C was bad enough in the heat & couldn't risk not getting on an install date with another company for possibly another week, maybe more with even hotter conditions upcoming. Our installers were Ryan & Chad. They arrived & started doing their work both in the basement & outside & we were up & running by early afternoon. I had some concerns about our primary bath's exhaust and our kitchen vent hood. Pharo came highly recommended from a friend in the local homebuilder industry. I connected with Dennis who scheduled an in-home consultation and he was both professional and honest. For the kitchen vent he could have convinced me that the problem I thought was happening was actually happening but instead suggested some small things I could do myself. For the bathrooms we moved forward with an exhaust replacement and new termination. His quotes were affordable and reasonable, something I was petrified would come in much higher. Pharo sent out a crew twice. Ryan, Jeff H, and Tarik were courteous and polite. They made sure they took off their shoes or wore booties, laid down fabric to walk on, etc. Jobs were completed quickly and looked great both inside and outside. Our AC stopped working last summer during one of the heat waves; we called Pharo and they were able to come out and diagnose the issue, and since it was already a very old unit, we decided to replace it along with the furnace, since it also had significant issues. We researched heat pumps and looked at furnace ratings on our own, and Clint Pharo put together several options for replacement of this system - including the heat pump technology. Ryan and Ryan came out to handle the replacement -along with Derek and Scott (did I miss anyone else?) and they were very professional and efficient. Ryan walked through the setup and reminded us how/when to service, and Scott provided a thermostat tutorial. Thanks all for making the day a smooth process. It was time to replace our furnace and AC. We knew this was coming when purchasing the house 7-years ago. I called Pharo for an estimate as they are located right across the street from my employer who also uses their services! This was the first of four total estimates I received and was the best value by far. Ryan and Ryan were on time, very professional, and cleaned up like they had never been there! Ryan told me in his 35-years of experience our old furnace was the toughest to remove due to ridiculous amounts of mastic, unneeded fasteners, etc. Even with that hurdle they still got the job done in the quoted timeframe. We have had to have Pharo Heating out a few times over the years and they have always been amazing (even when we called them at midnight one night to fix our furnace on the coldest night of the year for something I failed to do properly). This time my ac was not cooling the house. I checked what I knew to check and nothing seemed off so I called jt in. Described the issue and over the phone they gave their best idea. Not something I could fix so they sent someone out. They were here 40 mins after I called which was amazing! The tech diagnosed and fixed the issue in minutes and it was exactly what was diagnosed over the phone (they are the pros so I'm not surprised) but super friendly, super helpful and I won't hesitate to call them in a pinch! read more

We had air conditioning installed in our home for the first time, we have a boiler so adding air was not an easy task. They had to add ducts in our attic, cut holes in the ceilings in every room up stairs, add the system for the down stairs. They were here for 4 days and each day when I returned home from work you could not tell they were even here, they cleaned up after themselves every day. The last day they explained how to work everything and made sure they answered any questions that I had. I had a furnace emergency, and they were able to get someone out the same day and install a new one the next. I was worried that such a turnaround would gouge me in cost and not allow me to shop around, but there was no need! They were incredibly fair and explained all that I immediately needed and what I could add on only if I wanted. They arrived on time and did an excellent and thorough job. They even replaced the circuit breaker with one of the correct amperage rating for the new air conditioner. They pointed out a small hole between our foundation and sill plate. It may have been allowing critters in. Today we had a new Bryant air conditioner installed. Ryan C and Jeff arrived promptly and introduced themselves. They covered the living room floor and quickly got to work. Two man crew was smart, fast, and efficient. They removed our old 80,000 BTU Lennox Pulse furnace (no easy task) and Goodman 2.5 Ton A/C., and replaced them with a Bryant single stage furnace and Bryant A/C. They were here for about 7 hours, including removal and clean-up. Nice looking HVAC replacements, and clean job all around. New equipment is quiet and efficient.
