I've had them email me telling me my prescription is ready only to get there and find it's not ready. There is always a long wait to have prescriptions filled. I left the hospital with 7 prescriptions. I needed them filled as my next dose was at 5 pm. I called them at 3:15 pm immediately after I got home from the hospital. I sent all prescriptions in through their website portal that allows the uploading of prescriptions. Then I was told they need the real prescription before they can give me the drugs. That's fine. I will give them the original copies. I asked if they could be delivered as I just got out of the hospital and was not supposed to be driving. The staff told me the delivery guy had already completed his deliveries for the day but they would ask him. They called back stating no he cannot deliver. I told the lady i would find a way to get there to pick them up as I need to take the drug at 5 pm or close to 5. She once again said she needed the real prescription before she could give me the drugs. I told her that's fine. I'll take them with me. I got there at 5:05 pm and handed her the real prescriptions. They had nothing ready for me. She told me to wait 15 to 20 minutes. I had already explained to her twice that I needed to take my medication and by submitting these 2 hours earlier I don't understand why she did not make that any sort of a priority. After all I had been going to this pharmacy for many years. No matter when I go there I have trouble. They've only usually got one person working on cash and a line of several people. They often have trouble locating the prescription. Maybe they have too many customers. I don't know what the problem is but it's the worst pharmacy I have dealt with when it comes to efficiency, courtesy and value. The curt attitude and lack of concern for the customer has me looking for a new pharmacy. They also charge higher dispensing fees compared to my previous pharmacy from years ago.

They have to save money somewhere, and cutting hours was their answer. On the other hand, Shoppers Drug is really expanding! I like this shop best of the 3 near home, and maybe not the closest. This particular store is open only to 10:00 pm, there are others open to midnight, and the occasional one open 24 hours. This location has a nice makeup dept., a photo lab, and they sell some food, books and some jewelry too, and lotteries. Shoppers' Drug usually has the best price in town for milk, eggs, and butter. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, especially at the pharmacy (the cashiers tend to be on the young side).

I don't eat cheese often but weirdly, I love their no name yellow bag of low moisture mozzarella. Great for pasta and pizza. Lobsters, available fresh from the tank for those special occasions. Also, I enjoy their wine area, the workers in that section and the wine selection. I discovered a XO mango habanero bottle of white that I really like for $12. Now, I'm onto their XO pinot for wintertime and steak pairing. Yum. I always buy candles in the home section. 3 wick. Parking is never a real issue but this is a busy place. Thankfully, they have self check outs so I can breeze in and out as I never buy too much at a time.

There's plenty of parking around the grocery store, and there's a Tim Horton's next door (among many other things, in the plaza). You are greeted at the entry by the sushi counter, where I have occasionally seen someone making fresh sushi. There's a refrigerated display case right at this entrance where they entice you with fruit and veggie platters, and some ready made salads to go. I really like that grocery stores do that now! It's usually cheaper and quicker than getting take out. They also have a flower shop, and a small selection of clothing. This is one chain of stores that offers a coffee grinder, so you can get fresh ground coffee here (note: the machine was broken on the weekend of October 27-28 2018; I sincerely hope they will be able to fix it soon!) Always clean and the seasonal stuff is so fun, especially when it goes on clearance. I need for nothing but once you start dangling 75% off at me, I'm done. Gotta have it. Decent selection. Lots of freezer items. I haven't had much staff interaction but that is what is becoming of the new 'service' model. I've never known a Shoppers to be super customer proactive anyways unless in the high-end beauty area but I prefer Sephora now for very good make up so here it's mainly a few convenience food items, pet treats and paper products. At times, I just don't have it in me to battle myself into Costco.
