The store is pretty clean and organized, and there's decent parking in the plaza. But... is it just me or does it always feel like the staff are "lowkey" following me around the store? It's not super obvious, but enough to make me feel a bit watched while I'm browsing. I get that security is important, but it can make the shopping experience feel a little uncomfortable. Other than that, service at the checkout is usually quick, and I've had a few helpful interactions at the electronics and photo counters in the past. Still debating if I'll keep shopping here regularly or just order online when I can.

Many people I know love London Drugs (the chain, in general), and they all adore this particular…read morestore: it's large, clean, well-organized, well-stocked, well-lit and easy to navigate. So if you like LD stores in general, no doubt you will really really like this specific store. And I admit, there are other advantages to this site. This store is located in the Ironwood Plaza, which is a swell outdoor mall, with some really cool shops surrounding it. You could do all your errands here without leaving the mall (there's a huge Save-on Foods grocery store, A phenomenal BC Liquor store, a huge Canadian Tire across the lot, and lots of cute restaurants, and some medical clinics, etc.). The parking lot is huge, too, and free, so there's never a problem driving here. For me, though, I'm not a fan of the London Drug chain. I find their prices higher than any other store selling the same merchandise (and that says a lot, as Vancouver prices are crazy high, compared to every other city I've lived in). And to me, price points rank up there in how I rate stores. And in this particular store, the other day when my kid ad I visited, we walked up and down the aisles looking for some specific items, and there were no employees on the floor to ask for help (if there were, they were in hiding). We went to the cashiers to ask for help and the few that were there were busy ringing up customers and they didn't look up at us as we stood by for a few minutes. It was not good. After spending about ten minutes in the store wandering, we left without buying what we came in to get. Another disadvantage lies in the logistics of leaving this parking lot. There are no traffic lights if you're exiting on Road 5 (by the Starbucks), or at some other exit points. And if you're clueless like I was when I first visited this mall, on a weekday at 3pm, know that you will NEVER ever leave this lot and you will grow old and die in your car waiting to get out of the Ironwood lot. No exaggeration. (Note: only visit on a weekend or super early or super late on a weekday. Or else!). On a side note, I WILL add that I DO like LD for photo development. I always order my prints online and pick them up in their photo departments. They are great for that!

I have been a loyal customer of Shoppers Drug Mart for close to 50 years and have never complained…read moreabout your service or practices, which are generally very good. On Jan 14, 2026 I had an extremely unpleasant experience the CF Richmond Centre store in BC. I bought 2 Oral B io series toothbrushes that were on sale, paid by debit card but almost immediately, realized that I should have paid for the toothbrushes by credit card. So I went to the back of the line and when I came up to the cashier, I asked that the purchase of the 2 toothbrushes be reversed so that I could pay for them by credit card. When I explained that I had made a mistake and wanted to pay by credit card instead of debit, the cashier first told me that I would lose all Optimum points associated with the initial purchase even if I were to buy back the same items immediately. She strongly discouraged me from changing mode of payment. She highlighted the points on the receipt to emphasize that those points were a "one time only" reward and would all be lost even if I were to buy the same items again. Then when she rung up the items for a second time, she stamped "Final Sale" on the receipt. I'm at a loss to understand her actions: Why would the same items paid for by credit suddenly become a final sale. I find it to be incredibly sharp practice for your cashier to take unfair advantage of a customer's mistake particularly when the mistake was discovered almost immediately. All these transactions occurred in under 6 minutes.

I had a chronic problem right before I was scheduled to leave before I could get my prescription filled. I had to be on the plane or my flight. I arrived late afternoon and found out that the pharmacies if you have a chronic condition and you pass the interview by from the pharmacist, they will issue a prescription and fill it. The pharmacist I spoke with was intelligent articulate and interviewed me. I satisfied the guidelines for this service. She issued me the much needed drugs and gave me some advice. It was a wonderful experience. It solved my problem in two days and I enjoyed my trip. I also did some last-minute shopping in the store and it was a great experience.

Attention an issue on My 22, 2025 I purchase at one of shoppers located at #246-4492 Kingsway…read moreBurnby. I intended to buy this promotion box as a gift suggested by sales agent. the outer packaging displayed the products inside, and it appeared quite exquisite; however, the packaging was not transparent, so I relied on the image shown on the outer box. Despite the high price, the inclusion of a 50ml perfume made it seem acceptable. but, the redeem card was sealed inside of box, need to open the box to do the redeem, and need to pay before open it, made it is final sale. However, upon opening the box that evening, I was shocked to find that the products inside did not match what was depicted on the outer packaging. Instead, I found it is free simples, which I typically receive whenever I buy perfume. At that moment, I felt a deep sense of betrayal that words cannot fully express. No wonder why make you pay before open it and soon you open it you own it, and it is final sale. This is embarrassing and insulting gift to give to anyone. I have previously purchased similar mini perfume sets, and the outer packaging has always accurately represented the contents, either through transparent packaging or by the sales associate opening it for me to view. This was my first experience buying a mystery box from a major retailer, and I find it shocking that such practices exist in Canada. It feels like a breach of trust, manipulating customers in a manner that is simply unacceptable. A Friend told me it is false advertising, I should get my money back. Therefore, I have strongly request a refund for this purchase. I have been calling and calling to now, and following up emails, As I have not yet received any response, This issue has caused me considerable frustration, could anyone advice me on how this situation will be addressed?
