During my appointment with Dr. Henke, he told me that surgery would be needed for my broken ankle…read more He also started to talk to me about taking vitamins regularly, which seemed odd and unrelated until he mentioned that his wife sells Advocare (expensive supplements sold in a pyramid scheme format). Dr. Henke then tried to get me to purchase Advocare from his wife (who is not in the medical field) and gave me all of her information. The night before my surgery I just started to feel nervous about it, so I canceled and got three other opinions from orthopedic doctors who all said that the only reason I would need surgery was if my bones were not aligned, which they are. Therefore, the surgery was not necessary. Overall, he was very nice during my visit, but the whole experience made me feel a little taken advantage of and mistrusting of him and his practice.

I would give negative five stars if I could. This doctor has been discriminatory to my special…read moreneeds child. He refused to perform a needed procedure in a medical facility he has rights to perform in because she "should be able to have it done in the office." His office staff is the most unprofessional staff I have EVER had the displeasure of doing business with in any medical professional capacity for my kid. Dr. Henke himself was rude, condescending, and treated my child poorly. Despite our initial distaste for him personally, we chose to continue scheduling a needed procedure because my kid was in pain. How wrong were we!?! His staff called to tell us Dr. Henke would ONLY perform the procedure on the 2nd floor despite it not being covered by our insurance because he refused to go to Seton (even though he has the ability) because my kid should be able to do the procedure in the office. I had already disclosed to him in great detail the reasons she was not able (and I am not listing here in order to maintain privacy) and I would be happy to provide whatever documentation necessary to convince him of her legitimate need, and ensure insurance coverage. Luckily, I record every call that comes into/out of my phone and have record of this because we will be following up with an Office of Civil Rights/ADA complaint. Alicia later called me and assured me she had in fact secured coverage on the 2nd floor and we were fine to proceed with having it done there. Well, Alicia is AWFUL. Think trying to do business with a teen valley girl with a wad of gum in her mouth the whole time you are talking. Coverage was not secured and the day before we were scheduled we received a call that WE would need to obtain a single case agreement and our insurance would not let their office obtain this. (Funny, other offices have obtained their own single case agreement. Thank you, Sage Recovery for your professionalism!) Single case agreement can only be obtained if there is a network deficiency. There is no deficiency here. Just a doctor who refuses to provide services to children with special needs because he himself has determined they "should be able to have it done in office bc it is such a small procedure." After all that, they offer to reschedule at Seton after all. At this point, no thanks! We have found a reasonable, compassionate, and professional podiatry office with Dr. Golf, who even though he performs minor procedures in a surgery center, is happy to go to Seton Southwest since it is in network, and has treated my kid and me with the utmost dignity and respect.

They take your money right up front but, come time to write or fill a prescription to ease the pain they created, good luck... you are on your own. They expect your family doctor to cover you on that. The Dr. and I had a disagreement one day. Rather than have an old fashioned sit down face to face and resolve the matter I was sent a registered letter. When you walk into the place you can see their motto is paper is so 20th century, yet the doctor relied on 20th century paper rather than a face to face. Far too many cell phones, far too many easy outs, being social and coming to an agreement is just too difficult these days. Keep up the phoniness!!!

I just wanted a massage. I contacted the massage therapist in late March 2023. I told her of my…read morerecent eye surgeries (three in March!) and some of my other medical history. I wanted to schedule something soon, but the medical bills were piling up, and they needed to be paid. So I waited, and then last week I was able to schedule something. I sent the therapist some notes from a prior therapist so she would know about my structure. I felt the discussions I'd had with the therapist were good open communication and I was looking forward to the massage. I have some pain in my lower back which I know is because of tight hamstrings, and needing my iliopsoas released (I am a former massage therapist). So I made the appointment. I was told that there would be a $75 deposit, and that if I didn't show up, they would charge my card. I think this is reasonable. I gave them my card number, and they charged it immediately, I found out later, which is not what they told me would happen. I also found out later that they charge a percentage for using a credit card (they're just passing on their credit card fees, which goes against their credit card agreement, and is unethical), which they also didn't tell me about. I showed up to the appointment at this chiropractic office, and there was a "no mask" sign on the door. I assumed this just meant that masks aren't required. No, apparently this means that they're not allowed. They said the doctor ("doctor" is more like it, as chiropractors have no real medical training), had "studied things" (likely YouTube videos), and he had determined that masks are unnecessary, bad, and can cause germs. I tried telling them that I'm high risk. One of the office staff said she couldn't hear me. So then they went and got the doc who said that if I didn't remove my mask, they wouldn't see me. I left. Why didn't the therapist tell me that masks aren't allowed? She had months to give me this info. Why didn't the person who made the appointment tell me that masks aren't allowed? Why did they tell me they might charge my card on a future date, but then charge it immediately? Why didn't they tell me about the credit card surcharge? I was able to get the $75 back, but they wouldn't refund the surcharge. This is also dishonest, and I will dispute it with my bank. It's like this business can't pass up a chance to do the wrong thing. If you want a possible COVID infection, go here. COVID is surging again, BTW, because it is now endemic. That means it will never go away. BTW, I contacted the massage therapist after I left and explained the situation, and also that I'd be willing to send her $50 (half of the original amount), since I felt that she was harmed by he situation, and because she had an expectation of income. No response. Hopefully she'll respond soon, and I can send her the money. Oh, BTW, here's some information about the "university" that the doctor attended: http://chiropractic.prosepoint.net/176742 Picture is from one of the studies that the doctor likes to respond with on Google, any time someone leaves a less-than-stellar review.
