There are a lot of bad reviews lately but I had a good experience. There was no one else here so customer service was good. The pizza was pretty good if just a little bit soggy (I'm assuming because the slices are precooked and then heated in the oven.) Bottom of crust was crisp from the reheat. Plenty of pepperoni and just the right amount of cheese. Light on the sauce which was good. As far as ambiance, well it's a pizza joint in a strip mall. Not sure what you're expecting. Restroom could use a little work. Overall a pretty good value at $10 for two slices and a bottled Dr. Pepper. read more

Pezzo Pizza One - Pizza by the slice with Pepperoni. - Italian Near Me - Newton, New Jersey

Ever since under new management/owner the restaurant has been awful. The food does not taste good, and their Manager is terrible. I was really rooting for them, because the new owner seemed nice when I met him a week after purchasing the restaurant. Like I said, the manager is awful. I caught a mistake on my bill where they considerably overcharged me. Even though they remembered me and my order when I called to report the issue, the Manager kept on making excuses for why they charged me more than they should have. Excuses: 1) credit card surcharge (not sure a 50% mark up is a credit card fee percentage used by Visa). 2) he said it was a delivery fee (well I picked up my food). 3) he tried to negotiate how much he was going to give back to me 4) then he finally tried blaming me. He eventually only gave me a partial refund. I've probably spent over $1000+ here in the past few years. I will never be returning read more

New owners took over and food took a steep dive I actually dropped something o. The floor and my dog walked away from it on top of that the new owner is rude and offensive I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ever read more

WARNING: THEY ARE SCAMMERS. This place scammed my mom $50 for ONE PIZZA. When she called to make things right the guy on the phone was condescending and telling her maybe she ordered more stuff which clearly means they are doing this to others. She asked them to check the cameras, he said there are none, which is a LIE. We even checked our ring doorbell and low and behold, she's carrying ONE PIZZA. THIS PLACE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS, DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

This spot steals from its customers I got a pizza from here and they charged me almost $50! When I called to fix the issue they were very rude and refused to fix the situation giving us a hard time over their mistake. I used to come here all the time, never again! Please be careful with what you sign, I absentmindedly signed and left the receipt. If you ever have the misfortune of coming here make sure you keep a hawk eye on your card because these people will rob you blind given the chance! I'm also going to be reporting them to the IRS as I believe crooks such as these would even go so far as to lie on their taxes. Clearly they need to be audited. read more

Used to be the best subs in the area. Not anymore. Bread was stale, cold cuts poor quality. New owners? Hope not but if so they will lose their standing in this town. Seeing so much poor quality in many goods and services anymore. Sadly we'll go elsewhere read more

Sunday night the Mrs. and I ordered take out from you guys. To be blunt, the food was not good at all. In fact it was so bad that we actually decided to call an complain (which we never do) It was surprising to us because the food from Pezzo is always great. I don't know who we talked to on the phone but we were told that the regular chef was not in that day and we can have two free dinners at any time to make up for it. Well. Last night we cashed in on that and ordered again. The food was night and day. The food was SO good!! (like we always knew it was) so much so that I had to leave a great review for you all. Thank you for fixing the problem and for making up for it. We love your food and your restaurant. I would highly recommend dining here or having food to go. The staff is always friendly on the floor AND the cooks behind the counter. Keep up the great work everyone read more

We didn't have the pizza so can't review that. The lasagna was not good. The sauce was bland with no meat, the noodles undercooked and yet tasted burnt. My wife had the muscles over pasta which she said had a tasteless unknown sauce. The espresso was luke warm. The service was horrible. Won't go back again. read more

Worst pizza in NJ. Avoid this place at all costs if you want anything close to reasonably good food. We've ordered several times thinking we might have caught them on a bad night, all were disasters. Cheese is like chewing rubber bands, crust thoroughly burnt, sauce is watery and tasteless. Literally, frozen pizza at the store is better...and cheaper. read more

New owners pizza quality went down hill fast. Pizza on display looked old and dried out. Previous owners pizza always was fresh. Ordered some slices and after they were heated up and brought to our table they were tasteless. Will never be back. Sorry not the same. read more

This was supposed to be a personal pie with one half of pepperoni and one half onions and peppers. I call them and "Stu" picks up. Called them 15 minutes before closing, the guy says they're already closed. Here's the gist of the conversation: 1. He accused us of looking for free pizza 2. He said the pie is like this because we had "too many" toppings on it. 3. Threatened us to come meet him. 4. Put us on hold and started talking to other customers about how he deals with "these" kind of people everyday. 5. When I asked him if customer service meant anything to him. He said it did not. 6. His guys are tired to do anything. I have had my fair shares of bad food and bad restaurants but this is hands down the worst experience of them all. All we wanted to do was to let him know what happened. Instead, we got this. read more

This is a top notch establishment and I would recommend coming to this place if you're looking for quality food!

Delicious Pizza!!! And wonderful customer service. The Italian speaking Pizzaman makes this place so authentic. It took me back to Italy and brought back so many recollections of childhood. A must try!! read more

Customer service being awful isn't a fluke. Buyer beware. Canceled my order after what I am assuming is an owner or manager berating an employee to get off their phone. It was the most uncomfortable and awkward call I've ever had ordering food. Received three harassing calls after from the owner. Stay. Away. read more

This place was pretty great! We're from out of the area, and just needed to get a quick bite. Thanks once again to fellow Yelpers, we scored big time! We all chose the pasta lunch specials, with different combos. To our surprise, we were asked whether we wanted garlic or regular bread. Extra points!! The pasta was cooked perfectly and sauces were all really good. Service was excellent. The place is a clean, eat-in or take-out pizza joint, but on the nicer side of pizza places. Check this place out if you're in the area! read more

I enjoy the pizza here and the garlic knots are loaded with garlic just like I like. I have been here a few times but after my experience with the man behind the counter I won't be back. I was very pleasant and I'm sure a little annoying as I kept adding on to my order but being I was the only customer in the place I didn't deserve the mans huffing and puffing over it. It was definitely unwarranted. read more

Ordered the Appetizer for Two, garlic knots and a bunch of slices. Definitely had some of the best specialty slices we've had in a long time. The Appetizer for Two is a great deal - mozzarella sticks were how we like them, perogies are to die for and the fried ravioli was great. Fast and great service. Will definitely be back! read more

Coming from Bergen county and growing up around great Italian restaurants. I can say this is the best Pizzeria Sussex County. Always fresh and well prepared food. Never had a bad meal here and I am a regular. read more

Best pizza in Sussex County. The entrées are excellent also and they accommodate allergies. The food is fresh and authentic

If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible place to order food from. Call in and order penne vodka and 2 chicken Parmesan subs. Get there 30 minutes later like I'm told, yet chicken Parmesan subs weren't added to the order. I'm a reasonable guy however, so we patiently waited. Waited over 25 minutes for them to make them. Get home to bread and cheese, the smallest sliver of chicken I have ever seen in my life. Call the guy back and he won't give me a credit or anything for them. Shame. Terrible service, especially when I eat there at least twice a month. read more

Such a rude counter guy that I didn't even have the chance to order a slice. Ended up waking out, and honestly disappointed because I wanted to try the pizza. read more

Great pizza. Love the mussels and garlic bread. Good food at a good price. Byob too.

Recently stopped in to check out the pizza.Pretty good. Good enough to get me to try them to make some food for a Bday party. They made chicken francese and baked ziti. Absolutely killed it!!! Everyone at the party was raving how good they both were. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to cater any sized party! And they Set up the trays in large plastic bags so when they splashed in my car they wouldn't make a mess. read more

Awesome pizza and the grandmas pie is out of this world. Never been disappointed in a trip here.

Want good "made to order" Italian food, here it is. Daily specials are always great as well as their regular menu. Want pizza, well, I'm not a pizza person but they have FANTASTIC pizza. We live close by and are happy they have opened. My daughter & husband even made up a jingle for this place they love it so much! GO, you will absolutely love the food. BYOB. read more

Who would have thought a small plaza pizza joint would turn out such great fare. Had some pizza supreme slices yesterday. took them home and I have to say they were about the best I've had. Spouse and I went there for dinner a few Fridays ago. Pezzo had a flounder linguine dinner. I think it was $13.50. I was pleasantly surprised to see the top of the dish covered in fresh flounder cooked perfectly. i almost hate to write this review, because we couldn't get a seat this Friday night. read more
