I don't come here often because they are expensive but when I do I never had a problem (well, once, we had to deal with a woman that had an attitude because we were asking about a kitty and the woman associate told us to ask someone else because she had to use the restroom but not in these exact words and with more attitude than I have ever seen or heard of). Most associates are friendly and helpful, and try to do their best when answering questions. In the 2 years I've lived in yuma, the prices in this store have skyrocketed. A $40 bulb now costs over $80 including tax. I think they're 74.99 now? Absolutely ridiculous. They're taking full advantage of the fact that they're the only major pet store within an hour of any neighboring towns. I would order bulbs online but 2 out of 5 times the bulbs arrive DOA and I don't want to risk that on top of the 2-3 day shipping when I need a new bulb as soon as the current one breaks. I can't justify spending any more money at this location when I know at least half of it is going into the manager's pocket. read more

I enjoy coming to this store. The people are always friendly and they have a wide selection of pet supplies. The workers are also willing to help you with any questions you have about the various products. Once you get situated, it's very easy to find what you're looking for. There is always lots of parking available even when the snowbirds are in town. read more

Nice, big, new store in the middle of a HUGE shopping center. The store is very clean with tons of supplies, food, toys and services. They have a rodent/bird area in the middle of the store for those interested in buying a pet. They also have a really big aquarium section with tons of different fish in many aquariums. read more

My mini-schnauzer and I have had nothing but good experiences here. They have a wonderful variety of "snackies", food and toys for your pet to enjoy. I love how they have little "poop" stations in the store so just in case your dog decides to lay a deuce, then you can easily find one of these stations and clean it up. My baby goes to the pet salon in the back. They've always done such a wonderful job... The only complaint I would have is it does get pricey. Especially if you get one of the groooming packages, but other than that it's a great place to take your pet and go shopping. read more

This is as good as it gets if you're a canine and want to go shopping. Flash the Therapy Dog just loves it here. He gets to meet other 4-legged friends as well as 2-legged ones. Over the past 11 years, I've purchased a few bearded dragons from the Yuma store 1231. This past April, I bought two more. One died 5 weeks later, the other remains strong and healthy. I bought another on 7JUN to replace the one that died, but that one just died today after exactly 3 weeks. Their policy is only 2 weeks replacement. I get it with the first one lasting 5 weeks, but come on 3 weeks with the last one, and two in a row dead. They questioned me on lots of things, but I know what I'm doing and have even successfully bread and hatched over a dozen eggs. The ones I purchased were all in the same large tank with a separator, same lighting, same food, etc... one is fine...two others died. Spoke to manager about at least giving me some type of store credit, even for a percentage of cost, but nope. I got the old, "sorry, store policy, go online and complain if you like". I don't think it's a good way to treat a long-term good customer. I will be shopping elsewhere for my pets and supplies now due to this bad experience. read more

If I could give a 0 out of 5, I would. We've taken our GSP and Mini Dachshund there three times now and it will be the last. Our GSP hasn't had his nails trimmed for the last three visits now because you have no experienced groomers there. They are basically telling us that NONE OF THEM can handle larger breeds. We literally only take him there for his nails pretty much and so far 0 out of 3 of the groomers have been able to trim his nails. He isn't vicious or mean, doesn't growl or bark. There is no reason they shouldn't be able to trim his nails. They also charged us for a bath when I told them not to bathe him if they couldn't trim his nails. In regards to our Mini Dachshund we just paid $65 for her to basically look the same as when we dropped her off. The lead, Stephanie, did nothing to try and fix the situation. Terrible experience, I was hoping the third time would be the charm, but NOPE!! read more

11/4/16 I purchased a bark collar for our puppy it did not work. went to return it with with my valid receipt and was told box was torn couldn't return it the, plus several other non valid reasons plus the so called manager could not authorize a return. The purchase price was $99.00. I call the customer service office and filed a complaint and should receive a call within 48 hour about my complaint While filing the complaint Adam was extremely profession and consider about my welling being unlike the so call manager at the Yuma Arizona store. He listened intently and advise me some work would assist me. Will follow up with the results. They never call. However a manager named Ben said come see him. I call Wednesday to find out what time he was there and they told me 1:00. When I got there he had go for the day. An other people asked if he could help me and I told him what had happen. He look at the receipt and say no problem the item was return. As for the customer service he was the only one there worth anything. Petco in California is much better read more

I have been taking my dog to the grooming salon for a long time, and I had generally been pleased with the care that's given my dog. However, I was in last Saturday, just for a nail trim. I asked the girls if they could trim my dogs nails and one girls said "I guess." in the meantime the phone rang and this same girl took time to schedule a potential appointment. I was never addressed again, so I said "I guess phone calls get priorty!" and left. I'll probably go back, but reluctantly. I ve noticed the service has taken a downward spiral lately. I am very disappointed and upset about how my dogs grooming appointment went. This was his first one ever (we recently adopted him). We are a constant client with Shaina for our other dog (she is an amazing groomer) but this time it was booked with Bianca. She was not friendly, almost annoyed that I asked questions at the end when I picked him up. He has clipper burn on his private and bottom areas and on his feet. He will not stop licking and itching and now to prevent an infection I have to take further action. She shaved him down to nothing. Which sometimes I understand certain things have to be done cause they are matted but the fact that she didn't take extra care and her lack of unprofessionalism is truly upsetting and disappointing. Then she didn't notify me that it would be an additional $14 for matted hair cut costs. So that was a surprise at the end (and yes she did know how he was prior cause she examined him). Overall horrible experience. Won't be returning to her ever. read more

We had our two Papillons Susie & Hannah bathed and groomed at the Yuma, Az Petsmart. Up to this point everything went fine we discussed how we wanted their hair groomed with the person entering the information in the computer. The information was take out as many knots in Hannah as possible without shaving them out. We stressed the point not to cut off the ear hair or tails. To get to the point. They cut off the ear hair on both and butchered Hannah's tail. Yes, the manager did give us a full refund but I would gladly pay double the grooming charge to have their ear hair back on them. This is a wrong that can't be changed or forgotten for about two years or until the ear hair grows back. read more

i do like the variety of foods for my animals,but i had my dogs groomed there,well if thats what you called it,they looked horrible,ears were dirty,they still had tangles under their arms,not over a quarter inch of hair left on them, and when i asked if a professional groomer did my dog,their reply was "we go to school for a few weeks.you have to understand we learn as we groom more dogs!"Lord,help the dogs whose owners are like i was an didnt check to see how long they had been grooming.My poor babies paid the price!! Dog lovers!! do some research on dog groomers BEFORE you just take it to a place.Aparently these people dont have to have a license and anyone can call themselves a groomer.From what i have learned since then it takes alot longer than a few weeks,more like a few years to have a clue what your doing.Thank god i called around and found a woman that has 30 years an my dogs are safe with. read more
