I am very disappointed. I have returned frozen rats twice. The second time I returned rats, I was told, by the manager that he cannot take them back again. I have received yet another rat with a "X" stab mark in the stomach of the frozen rat. When I defrost the rat, it disembowels. Not good at all! Major possible salmonella exposure. My pet snake cannot swallow that. I have tried to contact Artic Mice to no avail as there is no site with a Customer Service number or way to contact them. I am soooo disappointed. I took my dog in to get the FURminator, teeth brushed, ears cleaned, bath and brush, nails cut and rounded. Got her back and was completely in disbelief. I made an appointment to have my pup bathed, furminated, trimming of her hair, teeth, ears and nails done. $91 later and 3 hours, she looked like she had nothing done to her except for some divots that a shaver would have made. I contacted PetSmart and explained the situation. I was told that some of these groomers are still in training so they had Jordan re-do her services, Jordan told me that she trained Dylan so I was skeptical. I was right to be skeptical. She did a butcher job on my pup. I have a mini dachshund, long hair and she took scissors to her. I never asked for a full haircut, I asked for a TRIM. Now its been 3 months and her hair is growing out and it looks awful. I have to wait another month in order to take her to a groomer that knows how to TRIIM a doxie. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO PETSMART AT THE PALMS MALL !! They do not know how to TRIM a doxie. I emailed them again and never heard back. They do not take ownership of the grooming department and I wasted $91 dollars for a crap job on my pup. I have some pictures that you can see how bad she actually looks right now. Her hair on her body is sticking out, her tail that should have been trimmed looks horrible and her back end above her legs looks all choppy. I also had tons of hair on my clothes after I picked her up, I don't think she was furminated at all. I was called 45 minutes later after I dropped her off. First it was 3 hours, then the re-do was 45 minutes. SAVE your money folks, if you have a doxie, find another groomer like I'm doing now so when her fur grows out a bit more, they can fix the way she looks by giving her a TRIM job. Shame on you PetSmart. You should have responded to me the second time I complained , and refunded me my money. I have told tons of people where I live not to use PetSmart for any grooming. If you have to go there, ask for Brenda J, She did a nice job , I couldn't get her when I made the appointment. I wouldn't give them 1 star but it makes you at least give them 1 . read more

This review is solely based on grooming experience today. My dog had a grooming appointment @1230 and we were told she would be done in a couple of hours. We called at 330pm for an update and they said it would be 30mins longer. Then no call. We showed up at 445pm & she was still on the table. She was released 503pm. Asked the groomers what happened? Said they PRIORITIZED WALK-INS & our sweet girl was in a cage the entire time. I understand policy of not being able to take her out but what I don't understand is why, after 2hrs, when they haven't started on her yet, did they not call & say she was delayed?? I would've gladly picked her up & rescheduled. In true F U fashion, she took a big wet dump in the store. Poor girl just couldn't hold it any longer. read more

We recently took our two puppies to Pets mart For their grooming. What should've been a pleasant experience turned out to be a horrible one. Although we explained exactly the type of services we wanted for them, these instructions were entirely ignored. The groomer took it upon herself to completely chop their hair off, when asked about it, she said their hair was matted so she had to do it. What's upsetting about the whole situation is that she never bother to contact us prior to shaving their hair. They take no responsibility for their grossly incompetent actions and the managers are of little to no help. Lesson learned- we will not be taking our puppies there any longer. PetSmart review I am visiting from Tennessee to see my parents and brought one of my dogs with me. The temp here is significantly hotter so I called to see if they sold paw protectors for my "Bodie". Initially the phone call was extremely difficult to hear but I still asked the question but could not clearly hear their response. I stated that I could scarcely hear their response, so they offered to call me back, which they did and the connection was greatly improved. When I answered, I was offered an apology and I was told there were a variety of sizes and styles to choose from so we continued on to the store. Upon arrival, we were met at the door by the smiling and genuinely happy Mr. Mauro who offered assistance. We explained the situation and discovered it was actually Mr. Mauro who we spoke to earlier so with an even bigger smile he proceeded to kindly walk us to the display and described the options for foot protection. BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front), Mauro and the staff at PetSmart was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and provided outstanding customer service!! Took my dog to this location for a second time and NEVER AGAIN! My dog used to LOVE going to the dog groomers and ever since this last time he left there scared and didn't even let the groomers finish their job. When they were doing the physical check on my dog before the appointment he was crouched down and terrified of them taking him in. And I should've known at that time to not leave him there! But I did 2 hours later I picked him up not fully dried no nail grind no paw hair cut and he was barking completely terrified. My dog is not a reactive dog. I'm convinced they treat their pets wrong or with force just to get the job done. Pet smart needs better employees who can treat dogs with better care. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. read more

Yesterday morning I experienced the worst customer service here with my wife and we come here all the time for our pet needs. Never had a problem till that morning. We go into buy fish "Guppies" for her turtle a female associate helps my wife, well during the transaction near the fish area my wife finds out the only feeder fish they sell were goldfish and minnows, but those two fish carry parasites and are high in copper sulfate not good for turtles my wife knew this info already thats why she wanted "Guppies" instead, ok never mind the fish she told the associate, but we want to purchase something else from the area so this associate wish I got her name, started cop an teenage attitude towards my wife assuming from the beginning we were getting help from an "Adult" had no manners or respect towards customers, throwing stuff around like a little kid when we had asked to purchase another item. So after seen that childish attitude we walked out without the fish and other item so she burned that bridge. A piece of advice, if you can't handle customer service in various situations and settings quit while your ahead, they will find some one to replace you. Love this place...Nice and clean. Really big, good prices. There was or is not to sure of it but there was a pet store on 4th ave across from the old Red Lobster which I always thought was soo funny. Anyways untill petsmart came to town that was the only choice and now that petsmart is here its just plan awesome. Also they always do a great job of grooming my german shepard. I do like the idea of bringing your animal in and I ususally take my son and the dog in he has a good time and fido gets a bath and whatever else they do to him there. The only bad thing is that with a place this size you would think that they would have way better deals on dog food but they dont seem any better than walmart on the dog food prices. I would have to say the store is awesome for the most part. But the prices are ridiculous! They never have really "good deals" on the weekends and when I go and get food for my family dog there is no one that is around to help me life a 90lb bag of food. No worries though I have mini muscles that I don't need the help, but the offer is still nice. It is very clean though and bigger than what "Yumans" are used to seeing at a store meant for animals. Petsmart in general always has a pretty good selection! I love that they carry BUFFALO BLUE food now... I always come here because if you shop here often enough you get coupons for the items you buy, pretty often too! I do have a complaint about the grooming department though-- they need to get it together with their appointment book-- they completely muffed up this poor lady's appointment in front of me and I was waiting 15min+ for them to finish figuring out her appointment before I was able to drop my dog off..Also, they forgot to do a couple of things when my dog got groomed (like the "report card" they're always supposed to fill out/cutting down certain parts of my dogs hair). There isn't anywhere else to take my dogs to get groomed around here so that's basically why I keep coming back. read more

30+ pounds of cat food... Oh how i love my cats. Best place to pick up Pet related items... As long as you know what to get. Be warned, the more common items are cheaper at places like walmart or target. for me I get my Cat food here. They are always running 5 dollars off Iams cat food. The kitty litter stock is weak and overprices I go to Target instead. My favorite part is looking at the kitties in the store. That is where we got all our kittens. I agree with Chris K. their aquarium section is impressive. Plenty of fishes to satifiy the kids. :) They also have lizard section and crickets to feed them. :) read more

The worst experience EVER!!...my 11 yo dog had an appointment with Alivia for 11:30 am at the only store located at Yuma, Arizona on 03/11/2021...arrived at 11:00 am and was told to wait outside for Alivia to show up. At 11:30 am, another lady after finding out Alivia was not coming (she was not supposed to work that day) told me that because my dog medical history (my dog had ONE seizure 11YEAR AGO when she was a puppy) she needed to be rescheduled in order to meet her "special needs"...my dog DOES NOT NEED and NEVER HAS NEEDED any special accommodations the past NEITHER at the veterinary office NOR any other grooming salon...I was never asked about my dog's medical or veterinary history when I was setting the appointment over the phone...Awful service!!....I will never come back to that store for any reason.... read more

I know everything going on yet again bag isn't even opened and just got it last night. Now my poor cats won't have food because can't afford buying another stupid over priced bag of food.. the cashiers should be letting customer know prior to finally purchase about the no returns. I don't come here often because they are expensive but when I do I never had a problem (well, once, we had to deal with a woman that had an attitude because we were asking about a kitty and the woman associate told us to ask someone else because she had to use the restroom but not in these exact words and with more attitude than I have ever seen or heard of). Most associates are friendly and helpful, and try to do their best when answering questions. In the 2 years I've lived in yuma, the prices in this store have skyrocketed. A $40 bulb now costs over $80 including tax. I think they're 74.99 now? Absolutely ridiculous. They're taking full advantage of the fact that they're the only major pet store within an hour of any neighboring towns. I would order bulbs online but 2 out of 5 times the bulbs arrive DOA and I don't want to risk that on top of the 2-3 day shipping when I need a new bulb as soon as the current one breaks. I can't justify spending any more money at this location when I know at least half of it is going into the manager's pocket. read more
