Petsmart in general should be able to do better. We purchased a Top Fin aquarium starter kit on April 5. The electronics in these kits hold 1 year warranties, and these kits are put together by Petsmart, as Petsmart owns Topfin. Last night, the filter stopped working, so I came home today and took it to the Woodstock Square location we purchased the kit from. I was told they couldn't do anything about warranty exchange or anything bc they are not allowed to take used or broken/defective product back. I explained that it's 60 days into a one year warranty period, and she abruptly told me again they couldn't take back open or defective product back, and that I could try contacting the manufacturer... I tried to explain that they were the manufacturer and she still said she wouldn't help. I then called into Petsmart customer service, and after being hung up on once, put on an extended 25 minute hold after requesting to speak to a supervisor, was told that they had no power to do anything as it was an in store purchase. This is such a joke. The supervisor insisted the only way to get this resolved was for her to submit a formal complaint to the stores and that the store manager would be reaching out to me by phone at most 48hrs. My tank has already been down for 24 hrs, and now it's likely going to be 72 hours before I even get a call back. They really dont seem to care about anything other than getting your money. There was literal attitude with every person I have spoken with both in store and over the phone at their customer care call center, and now my fish are going to be dead. read more

they ruined my dog right before the big party we have been planning for months. i'm not over exaggerating whatsoever his beautiful golden curls have been completely shaved to the brim and his whole haircut is overall extremely uneven. the back of his head is the worst of it all. it's like they took the scissors to his fur and completely went ham all over my precious dog. they claimed he was not a good fit for their salon because he doesn't corporate, but that has to be far from the truth. he's a very anxious dog, he's not a fan of new people but if he were to go to the groomer he would be still and let them do their thing. any other location i've ever let him go to has never complained about him. i'm beyond disappointed in what they did to him. i highly recommend not going to this location. read more

COVID-19 Update Corona cases in Georgia are spiking. While Atlanta's mayor takes necessary precautions mandating masks and distancing, the state's governor doesn't. Nor does trump. And that puts us all at risk. There are signs posted at Banfield's check-in counter that clients are required to wear masks. Yet, for the 45 minutes I was there, I saw several morons disregarding instructions. The lovely person manning the desk was clearly powerless to do anything. The staff is compliant of guidelines, for which I'm appreciative. The tech who took my dog to the back, offered to bring him out after the exam if I chose to wait in my car. (Thank you for that, Andrew.) In the 14+ years I've been bringing my dog to this Banfield clinic, I've worked with a number of vets. I think they hire quality doctors, and I can say that I've never been disappointed with services received. In light of the pandemic, I wish they'd deny service to non-compliant customers AND have disinfectant wipes readily available in the waiting area. read more

I had received terrible service at this petsmart in the past (so bad that I wrote corporate and made an extra trip to speak to the store manager about it.) I probably not been back in probably 4 years. I recently came in to buy powdered milk for a couple of kittens I found in the woods and supplies for them. The second time I came in to buy a cat tree for them. Both times I interacted with an employee and was treated in a professional manner. I plan to come back here at least two more times and if I continue to have a good experience I will up them to a 4 star. read more

The manager (I'm assuming) took one look at the purchase receipt and said that they wouldn't do the return because it wasn't purchased at their store. Thats bogus. He claimed that it would tell me that on my receipt, I asked him to show me where and he was unable to. He then told me that it would be in my confirmation email. Again, I opened the email, and asked him to show me where it said that. He told me that he could not find it, but that was the policy Nationwide. This is the WORST grooming salon I have ever used! They overbook appointments and then cancel with little to no notice (after the appt has been scheduled weeks in advance) and most of the groomers there are inexperienced and the results look like sh*t. The last time I took my dog there, they kept her for over 3 hours and did NOTHING! The salon mgr is an a** and hung up on me when I told him they needed to address their overbooking issues. It started out ok the first few times I took my dog, but then my dog was not comfortable allowing them to trim her nails. If that's the case, I do think they should offer some type of discount if they can't complete the service. And when I picked her up, no bandanna and she barely smelled like she had a bath. At this point, I have written them off. My dog gets bathed where she gets boarded and they don't have any problems so I'll just have to take her there from now on. read more

So, I am a business coach and sometimes I scout out new clients by DoorDash thing. It's the best way to find out what the service is really like. I got an order for the Woodstock, Georgia location and was trying to have a very calm and kind conversation with an employee named Meredith. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I didn't understand what she was saying about doing the shopping myself because I have 1000 orders that I run I've never had to do so. I just said oh typically with DoorDash. They have it ready and she started degrading me and talking down to me like I was some type of piece of shit. I told her there was no need to be rude and she kept raising her voice saying that she wasn't rude. I ask for the manager, and I spoke to a really young Spanish girl who didn't seem to care at all that her employee was rude to someone. All she had to do was say oh no worries that's how we do it here. All of the customers around her got to see what kind of evil person is going to be helping them. I think she was on some type of power trip. Because she thought she could get away with it with a DoorDash customer. I am connected to everyone in the city and something needs to be done about this woman because I have warn people that she seemed like she was going to be violent read more

I attempted to return an item purchased by my daughter. As an authorized user on my credit card the last four digits on her card are different than mine. No big deal, still the same account. The manager at this store refused to process the refund because the credit card used to purchase was not present. I explained this does not matter, the return would still process. I have made returns at other retailers with two cards from same account and there are no issues. The different last four numbers are simply for identifying card user, not restricting use. She refused to even attempt the return process. I called corporate and explained my situation to rep. She said she would elevate the complaint. As of this date, PetsMart corporate has not responded. I guess they don't care. There are many online retailers that sell the same products as PetsMart, at the same or lower prices. There is no reason to endure the hassle of retail purchases at PetsMart. My husky, Koda and I went here for the first time 2 weeks ago and we had a blast!! We met so many nice store employees and made friends with some other locals and their fur kids. They had everything we were looking for in stock ( Halloween toys we saw online) and we went home with a lot of goodies for the cats too! I have been coming to this store for almost 2 years since we moved back to woodstock, every week for my pets food (2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 leopard geckos). Today, Linda decided to educate me on how I needed to have an add or photo from the other local pet store to show her if I wanted to get my crickets at their "price match" cost of $.08 instead of Petsmart's $.11 each. I shouldn't have to change what I do weekly because Petsmart has a new cashier. Customer service should not argue with the customer, no matter how nicely they want to put it. It is still telling a long term customer they are wrong. On top of that, they were out of my dog's food. Maybe it's time to shop somewhere else. read more

We frequent Pet Smart due to having two dogs and to cats. We also had 2 bearded dragons that we had bought from Pet Smart for our boys at Christmas that dies 2 months after buying them. I honestly don't think that it anything to do with purchasing them here. I actually think that it had to do with crickets that we bought for them at another local pet store. What I like about Pet Smart is that they have so many things that a pet owner needs. From basics to things like supplements, they have you covered. Although a bit pricy, if you can find things on sale you can really get a good buy. The staff is usually helpful if there is enough of them to help the crowd. They have a vet as well as grooming center on location. We haven't had to use the vet but they are open on the weekends which is great if you are in need and your vet is closed. They have adoptions on the weekends. We love going and seeing the puppies and all the love they they get. I think that they are very successful with adoptions. They also have dog training classes. Now, unfortunately we have not used them. You would know this if you came over my house. My dogs are not well behaved, but mighty cute ;) read more

I took my shitzu to get groomed at PetSmart. I walked in and spoke with the lady who was doing her haircut and everything was fine as we went over all the details about her cut. I also mentioned to her that my dog chews her tail and it mats up but the groomer we had been going to shaves it and she said no problem. Well I drive to work which is a short 10 min away and then I receive a call to come and pick her back up because they can't do the haircut because her tail was matted and that I needed to seek a professional!? I mean we just spoke about this 10 min prior.. anyways I ask if they could do everything but her tail since I just got to work and they said no. I then go pick up my dog and they had shaved a huge chunk of fur off her tail which they never mentioned. I would not recommend taking your dog there at all!!! They usually have pet adoptions on the weekend but be aware there are multiple rescue org here and prices vary greatly. Took the beginning training class with my 4 month old Chinese Crested that I was preparing for the show ring. Linda, the trainer, was A-W-E-S-O-M-E and really did a good job gearing the class to meet each person's individual needs. Class size is nice....about 3-4 people in the class (I went on a week night, I hear weekend classes are packed). We learned a lot of very useful information and skills. We start the next level of training in a week. Highly recommend for anyone who has a dog that needs to be trained. read more

When I drop them off for grooming, Kenzie & Darlene always pamper them and treat them like they are their own pets. My wife is picky with how they are groomed, and Kenzie has NEVER let me down. Do not take your pet here to get groom/bathed. I brought my dog in for a bath and they had her there for three and a half hours just to tell me there was an "accident" and her nail was bleeding and they had to take her to the vet. I had already called once to see if she was done and this was not mentioned to me until they called thirty minutes later after she had already seen the vet. They then asked if I wanted them to proceed with the bath which I quickly declined and picked up my dog. read more

They gave him back early because he was being too feisty and kept biting but I had already taken him there a couple times before without problem. I made a grooming appointment for 7 A.M.....the groomer still hadn't shown up and it was 7:15....I specifically told her over the phone that my dog cannot be in a cage waiting to be groomed which was why I asker her for a day which my dog could be tqken immediately while I watch her being groomed. When I arrived at said date and time No groomer and oneof the young girls took my dog and caged her....she told me that my dog would have to remain in the cage until another dog, with same appointment would be groomed first....I took my dog and left.....run by ignoramus' Secondly, the prices for Wee Wee pads are in the price range of $50-$80 for only 50 pads....at Publix they charge $10.99 for 30 pads that are excellent quality. The staff is well informed and so kind, they really are passionate about animals. They have a huge selection of items for dogs, more than I've seen at other locations. Dirty store, dog feces all around door to business. Cashiers rude, sloppy, and do not know how to run lines. Very confusing and when trying to make sense out of line and where to be cashiers made rude remarks and basically insinuated we were trying to go ahead of others. Maxine had the best cut, groom and shampoo she has had in a Long time. She looks a little like a Border Collie, Spaniel Mix but is actually a 1/2 AmStaff.
