First and foremost my dog, really puppy, took classes at the Petsmart on Haynes Mall Blvd Winston Salem NC. So I wanted to pay it forward and get her groomed there as well. Karen was amazing. That's why I decided to go back. I work quite a bit, thankful to be able to! Covid has been in our world but hopefully we're all healthy.!!! So long story short, my puppy was born in covid times. Shes a resscue . A bit of separation anxiety there, but thats not abnormal. Poor thing doesn't know how to be dropped off and I'm not there. I understand that! Not Petsmarts fault by the way. I know the rules. We can't be there I get it. But she got shampooed,...I couldn't be there of course and was nervous. I got a call 2 hours later that she was in a crate because she was aggressive supposedly. She is a puppy. She is nervous and doesn't like baths. I bathe her on the regular at home, but have been busy at work so thought to send some business to Petsmart. I got there as soon as I got off work she was not aggressive, just nervous. The girls there,...and again were very nice....could probably tell you so. She didn't like a bath in a place she didn't understand. I was told she was wet in the crate. You better believe I got there with a quickness. I did not get charged because they couldn't do anything....do trust I am an understanding human. I still tipped $20 BC my pup threw up in her anxiety and I know they had to deal with it. I will probably just take her elsewhere. The staff was very nice when I came. Please don't scrutinize them. However my dog was in a crate for 2 hours scared. Just not a good experience.

My Shelties love their treats and somefoods we buy at PetSmart. The kitties enjoy their food and litter as well.

Took my dog in for a bath and brushing. She came out soaking wet and was not brushed. Her fur was still matted. NEVER AGAIN!!!

They're volunteers who truly care about the dogs and humans. One trainer even gave the whole class homemade treats at the end! It is sometimes hard to get into their classes... you have to be lightning fast when registration opens. And of course, as with any other scheduled event, it won't always fit with your schedule. But it's worth it to try to get in their classes. Fees are very good compared to other places... I feel you get MUCH more bang for your buck than at pet store trainings, and it's a much better setting. There aren't many places anymore that provide class settings, especially for advanced skills... so many trainers only do private lessons now, which are so expensive. I'm glad these guys are here! A great staple to our community.

The price is cheaper than what you would pay for training at the pet stores and it is eight weeks not six weeks. Class sizes aren't huge, there are about ten people in my class currently. The dog and I are in the tiny tots beginner class for dogs that are under 15 pounds. It is a great environment for her to learn since she doesn't have to worry about practicing next to a dog five times the size of her. I truly am learning a lot. I read a lot of books on dog training, but nothing beats having an experienced expert show you and practice with you. They are thinking about doing a Tiny Tots II in the Spring and we will definitely be signing up!

I looked at the owner's website www.camp-ruff.com which describes their facility as a "lux camp" for dogs and puppies. I was intrigued and called for an appt to view the property and see the operations. I was met by the Camp Director/Owner, a delightful, sincere woman named Lucinda. She greeted me and my dog and proceeded to show me the camp home, which is divided into sections based on the needs and behaviors of the various dogs she was boarding. She listened to my description of my dogs needs, habits and observed her to judge how she would behave w other dogs. One by one she let a dog out from the house, where they have their "sleep over", cautiously to see what my dog would do. As the animals were about my dog's size everyone seemed to accept each other. Great news! Lucinda decided to take the next step by taking my dog w the small pack for some exercise on the trail in the woods behind the house. The dogs were running around having a great time which relieved my anxiety that my dog might not like to be off leash but she was running and getting some great exercise and learning to enjoy the pack mentality. No fighting or misbehaving, perfect! Lucinda works tirelessly to pamper the pooches morning and night. Morning feedings, evening feedings, medications and always careful observations of the pets. They all sleep like happy babies when the day ends in a real home environment. Prices are in line and reasonable I think for an overnight stay of $44 including feeding, walking, playtime and careful observation by someone who is highly qualified and very knowledgeable of pet behavior. All animals come in contact w other pets only when owner has documentation for boarding such as rabies vaccination, bordetello. This place is a well thought out and safe place to leave your precious pet while you are away. So relax, they got your back!

We originated in San Diego, CA working with puppies and general pet obedience for over 3 years. We wanted to do more within the dog training community and continue to impact lives and help both dogs and owners alike, so we packed everything up and moved to Winston-Salem, NC in order to continue our education on dog training. The owner Eric attended Highland school for dog trainers Master Dog Training program and graduated in December of 2021. There we learned about the industry as a whole and became knowledgeable in service dogs, working dogs, pet dogs, behavior modification, and so much more! Our goal with this education is to be able to help more people primarily behavior modification. We want to be the reason why an aggressive dog gets another chance. We have come to see the difference in peoples lives just through pet dogs and puppies. We want to have the same impact for owners who have aggressive dogs on their last chance. We stick to what we love best and that’s Obedience, puppies, and behavior modification. Our goal is to help you develop a stronger bond with your dog. We take pride in being able to mold your dog to your lifestyle. We also give our clients the confidence to be able to handle their dog in any situation. We are here to help educate humans on man’s best friend and help create stronger bonds from coast to coast.
