Been back to PetSmart a lot now. I get Mocha's food here / Just Food for Dogs, & Merrick Chicken Bone Broth. This last time was not a fun one. Pet parents know, their pet's poop can be an issue as they get older just like us. I received really great customer service here and also great recommendations. I always get great customer service through check out, but this one was for this specific issue. I decided to buy Tomlyn's paste for pets bc of the recommendation provided. They went above and beyond bc they gave me a rec for least expensive through most expensive and what customers were using and happy with. This one helped Mocha in two and half days. I was really impressed. I saved a lot of money too bc everyone knows how much the vet costs. I also read reviews and it said it may get worse before it got better, & it did exactly that. I know what to expect now and it works. So if your pet is having poop issues, I used pumpkin and Tomlyn. It worked. I was so stressed about this issue too. It helped so much. I almost didn't take my dog here to get groomed due to the poor reviews. Glad I didn't listen. 4 star experience I called verified his vaccination record and set up an appointment in one day. Dropping him off was a breeze, picking him up was a little stressful. The lobby was small and only had 1 door so it fills up quickly with those going and coming. Also, they don't allow you to grab your pet immediately. You have to walk back there, receive an invoice with a barcode walk to the front of the store to pay and then have to walk back. An inconvenience at best. Overall I'd go again. They communicated and groomed my 40lb dog well. Kim and associates did a great job! The whole process took a little over 2 hours and I spent 98 dollars :) read more

I never do this but I can't sleep because of the way my family was treated today at pet smart the pet store. First my wife was told how bad her 5 month old puppy was after his 3rd grooming he weighs 5lbs and basically said take time some where else next time or get a groomer who has more patience which once employee there did and said he is just getting use to it thank you Em I think. Oh and the guy that did the grooming was great. It was the little lady who didn't realise she was getting paid by my dog. And then my son saved up for a lizzard a for 3 months and was told that they normally dont sell them to people who dont know about there issues or what ever she said so basically called my son to dumb to buy this lizzard and then proceeded to insult him to other employees when she thought he was out of ear shot the lady with colourful hair . Wowza did this place get expensive!! The same dog treats I get at Walmart for $1.99 are $8.99 a bag here and it's the same size bag!!! The only reason I came in was because I had a coupon for some free dog food to sample out and it could only be redeemed here. There were only 2 lanes open and the 1 lane only had 1 customer but was taking forever. The customer had an issue that they were working through I guess. The other lane was sooo slow, 2 people ahead of me and I think I waited 10 minutes! Holy cow! read more

I'm not one to post reviews but this experience really frustrated me. I brought my 6yr old daughter to buy her first pet fish. She had been talking about wanting a goldfish for a while and I finally said yes! We picked out a 2.5 gallon tank that would fit perfectly in her room and went to pick out her goldfish. We looked at all the fish and she found the one she wanted to take home. I found an employee, showed her the one we wanted and was harshly told that I could not have the fish. She rudely informed me that unless I had a 20 gallon tank she didn't have ANY fish that she could sell me... My daughter was crushed. I asked her if we could have a betta instead. She said "unless you have a 20 gallon tank, no". I asked her what kind of fish we COULD have. She told me "unless it's going in a 20 gallon tank, I can't sell you anything"... Seeing my daughter's face I asked why not and was told - a direct quote - that "it would be cruel and unusual punishment". She took me to the aisle of tanks I assume to show me a 20 gallon tank. I asked as politely as I could masking my frustration why they had a full aisle of 2.5-15 gallon tanks if they couldn't sell me any fish for a tank less than 20 gallons? She let us have a betta. My daughter loves her new fish, but the way this lady handled the situation with my daughter standing there was flat out rude and inappropriate. I grew up in a household with several fish tanks of all sizes; from a little 1 gallon fresh water tank to a 135 gallon marine aquarium which I shouldn't have to bring up to buy a goldfish. I have never heard something more absurd as being told I could not buy a single fish in the entire store if it wasn't going to live in a 20 gallon tank. read more

very disappointed. I have been using PS for 20 + years, this particular dog 12 years. The groomer cut his chin (shaved too close or burnt him with hot blade). I simply wanted an apology but instead mgr Brittney blamed me and my dog saying he has allergies and that is the red mark. First and foremost they are groomers not veterinarians and not qualified to diagnose. secondly my dog sees his vet annually and has never been diagnosed with allergies. I'd say stick to grooming but apparently they can't do that anymore. think twice before you trust them with your pet. read more

My favorite groomer Michaela left the company and took all the talent with her. Poor Kobe got skinned for no damn reason. I'll never go back after this abuse by Julie. Today, we had our first dog training class for beginning dogs. Let me tell you just after our first ever experience doing a dog training class, it is worth every penny. Our trainer was extremely knowledgeable, patient with me and the kids, and very friendly. We were trained even better than the dog was. She did wonderful helping my kids learn how to work with dogs and hold yourself appropriately. The amazing trainer monitored us and the dog giving clear and precise feedback to improve our handling skills. She was more than happy to answer our questions and help with handling. We are looking forward to completing this course and moving through each level. read more

Violet was originally the person I was assigned to groom my furbaby gizmo but when I arrived her and Kim looked bothered. With the worst customer service received Violet asked me how much does Gizmo weigh and I wondered why is she asking me this with no explanation. I then told her he was 275lbs and she immediately pawned me off to Kim with no explanation. Kim came over and asked how I would like the cut and she was super lethargic and bothered. I explained in detail and Kim looked as if she wanted me to stop talking. I should have taken Gizmo away but since I've used PETSMART before I gave them a chance since it was my first time. I highly regret my decision. Kim called me and told me Gizmo but her when she tried to do his paws and Gizmo has never bitten anyone in over ten years. I was shocked and I knew it was probably rough or poor treatment. I paid for a bath and groom and an extra spa package and when I picked up Gizmo his ear were dirty and his haircut was sloppy. I wanted to talk to both of the lazy women from the morning but they both left. This is despicable. I will never recommend this location ever. I recommend zero stars but the system won't let me because one star is way too generous! read more

The Employees at the grooming salon should tea party's in alley for cat's the are very unpleasant to deal with, They have an employee who should be hosting bingo not dealing with customers its a complete lost of money for petsmart to have them employed you need your Animals complete Veterinary history every time even though it's stored on your phone they want to see the Records last time my Veterinary had to call for a nail trim he advised me not to go there again the way the Employees talked to the Doctor made it worse but that's what you get for 10.00 an hour people sitting around and making look like you are inconvenienceing them lol what a mess. Emily the blonde cashier was over the top!!!! I came in with a female puppy that I literally adopted a hour before. She was so informative about fleas and very helpful with my questions. She then heard I adopted and gave me a coupon book that saved me around 30$ on stuff I was already going to buy! I will come back to this store just because of her exceptional service. Bailey graduated from her puppy training class all due to having a great trainer named Lindsay . Bailey at first was very distracted and just not listening.Training with Lindsay she has gotten so much better. She comes when you call , she sits stay and learned soo many commands in just 6 week. You can tell Lindsay is an animal lover and love what's she does. If you ur dog needs some help go see Lindsay at petsmart . You wont be disappointed. read more

This review is from the new owner of a puppy. I have taken my dog to PetSmart in Wesley Chapel a few times for grooming based on a neighbor's review. I was not overly impressed with the full grooming service of my goldendoodle the few times I took him for grooming I knew I could not do better at home. This week I took my dog for another full groom and was disappointed. I didn't get a report of how he did which is normally what happens after a groom. The groomer took less time than at any previous groomer and that should have been a red flag for me. When I got home I saw two places when the groomer had let the clippers fall or move all the way to his skin. I thought to myself that it would grow out and I would simply never return to this PetSmart. However, when I looked more carefully I saw that the hair growing in front of his eyes had not been trimmed well enough and still some hair suck into his eye and in front of the eye. There was drainage by the eye from the friction of contact. The next day I took my dog to a different groomer who had time for just a face trim. During their service they saw that my dog's tongue had been clipped the day before during the full groom. This discovery made me frustrated enough to write this review. I understand that a groomer can make a mistake and cut a dog. I don't understand why the groomer would not tell me. I picked up the dog from the same groomer and he could have told my about the mishap with the tongue cutting and the botched two slips on my dog's back. read more

I have been taking my dog here for a year now. I had made an appointment 5 weeks ago for Devon to groom my dog today at 2 pm. Devon has been taking care of my dog since I started here. About an hour or so before, I get a call from her saying that she was going to have to move my appointment until 3:30 pm BECAUSE she got an "express" appointment and that will push my dogs appointment later!!! Just because someone should call in last minute that pays an express fee, should 'NOT take precedence over one that made a legitimate appointment over a month ago!! Devon is definitely wrong in her actions and did not work to rectify the situation. I will not be returning to this salon! I don't recommend this salon also for the lack of friendliness when you enter the salon. No one looks up to greet you. And lastly, they take forever with grooming!!! Maybe they shouldn't be taking on 25 dogs each day! read more

I am giving this place three stars based on two factors -- helpful customer service and cleanliness in the store -- the outside area is a different story. Walking into any pet store and not having a pungent smell is marvelous. We went in this past Saturday looking for pet Halloween costumes --(thanks again Rachel M, for the tip) considering the amount of people browsing the store that day they still had a huge selection of items on clearance. An employee named Don Grady answered all of our questions and made a few suggestions. Be sure to join their "Pet Perks" program -- they send out emails, which you can customize to send you alerts when your favorite brands go on sale. You'll also get members-only coupons as a Pet Perks card benefit, and your pet gets a treat on his or her birthday. This location offers grooming, veterinarian office, training classes and cat adoption services. (Located in the Grove at Wesley Chapel -- off of State Road 56 and Oakley Boulevard). They have supplies for dogs, cats, birds, reptile, fish and small pets. There are fish for sale as well as birds, lizards, guinea pigs, etc. Looks like they have a huge selection of different foods and supplies for whatever pet you own. Opened Monday through Saturday 9 to 9 and on Sunday from 10 to 6 (grooming and vet have different hours. Used to love coming here until lately. I was told they couldn't cut my dogs nails due to a cough... I kind of get it, I Kind of don't.. but whatever.. not THAT big of a deal to me at first, but it's an express service so I didn't know how this made sense.. I later then received a phone call almost a week later basically stating I must've not paid for it. I felt like I was accused of stealing cause I didn't pay. You're right, I didn't pay, you guys had my dog in your possession for 10 mins before you told me you couldn't do a damn thing. In the midst of this, I was asking about information on some rawhides, no one was knowledgeable or helped me in that. When I called back to confirm about the nail cutting that never occurred, no one has yet to call me back and confirm they've received my message. Or even apologize that they didn't ask their staff first. To add to my frustrations in the same week, I get a call from the groomer now basically saying my other dog was there recently so if I could cancel the appointment they'd appreciate that... what kind of customer service is this? Who's to say I didn't need another grooming appointment after a month? read more

The fish selection seems to be consistently limited. There is a wide selection of food products for both cats and dogs. The pricing seems to be a bit higher than their competitors. The staff is hit or miss. About half the staff seems to be knowledgeable and capable. The other half... not so much. The cashier seemed to be genuinely offended when I refused to sign up for the rewards program. She did not seem to understand that my information and privacy are more valuable than the $2 I would save. read more

Don't even think of taking your dog to the Wesley Chapel Petsmart for grooming. When your dog shakes even as you pull up in the parking lot when you are not even going to get groomed, they are trying to tell you something. Listen to your dog. I thought my dog was just being weird. She wasn't !!! After going there 3+ years, I should have known. Too bad they can't talk because she was traumatized in some way. Found a wonderful groomer now, and so far am so happy. Thank God, and may Petsmart go out of business. read more

Decent shop. Not the most helpful of staff. You can walk around looking lost and no one will help unless you seek them out. I've never used any of their services, other than the vet, so I can't attest to how good those are. If you just need to run in and grab something it is a good store. I can't give it more than 3 stars because it is nothing special. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! Made an appointment to have my dog bathed and groomed and came with proper paperwork from my vet showing all her up-to-date vaccinations and that she was in perfect health. She is 14 and has anxiety so being in a new, busy place caused her to breathe heavier than usual. One of the groomers pointed out she was having "labored breathing" and called the store manager over. The store manager, who is NOT a vet, said my dog wasn't healthy enough to be groomed, despite what the paperwork said, and refused to groom my dog. She was rude and totally unprofessional while dealing with this, and threatened to call the police when I tried to protest and tell her my dog is perfectly healthy. TIFFANY MCDERMOTT should NOT be a manager, or even work for this store. I will never be back because I was humiliated and treated like scum! PetCo here I come! read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!! They kicked my not even 2 year old malitpoo out of their system for being an "aggressive dog". I was given no warning or anything. I have brought my dog to doggie camps and other pet salons in other states and not once have gotten negative feedback about my dog. Perhaps Petsmart should check their employees for being "Aggressive groomers"! Horrible employees, Violet the manager had no explanation of the matter. This place is great. We are doing our puppy training thee with a guy named Cody who is awesome. He truly cares about the dogs and goes out of his way to help. The rest of the staff are very friendly and always willing to help and give their opinion. Also a great opportunity to work with your dog with their socialization. Do not take your dog here for grooming. I've never had this experience happen to my dog before. We would go to other locations and she would be okay. I took her in to get a bath and a trim with cleaning up some of the hair from her bottom. I get a phone call 2 hours later telling me that she's anxious and won't let them trim her hair but they were able to clean her hair from her bottom. My dog is usually tolerate so I thought this was weird. They gave me a refund and i went home. When I got home I realized she wasn't really acting like herself. She would sit down a lot and run around just very agitated. I monitored her for a day and she was still acting the same. I took her to her vet the next day and they said that she's got bad razor burns in her peri area and the inner gland was totally full of stool. The vet took care of her but she's been so agitated and in pain all day. I've never seen her like this before. I will never bring her back to this location for grooming again read more

I've been going to Banfield since 2010, been to multiple locations, never had such a terrible experience as this one. Brought my two yorkies in for their comprehensive exam, was told they would be done around noon. I called at 1pm they told me the vet was going to be calling me back in about "5 minutes" .. 2pm rolls around, I call back, they ask if they can put me on hold and then hung up on me twice. I finally just walk in at 2:30 and pick up my dogs and I'm out the door in 5 minutes. I purchased 6 months of trifexis (flee, tick, & heartworm) for two dogs 5lb - 10lb. The next morning I go to give it to my dogs and see they sent me home with one box of 5lb-10lb and one box of 10.01 lb-20lb.. (Both my dogs are under 10lbs) if I had given this to them, it would have killed my dogs. So I call them right after I noticed. They ask me to bring it in. I drive 45 minutes to bring it in and the vet says "oh sorry about that" ... Like no big deal.. They don't seem to actually care that I bring my two dogs to them to keep them healthy and that their mix up could have killed my two dogs. read more

I have to say that I have stopped going to this Petsmart for grooming because of the staff. Each time that I've walked into the grooming part of the store, either I am not acknowledged at all, or I am met by a blank stare until I say hello to someone. If these people are this unhappy, then they should probably find work elsewhere. And even though my dog looks cute when they are finished, which is why I gave two stars, she almost always has scrapes and red places underneath her that look like she was burned by the clippers being too close, or too hot. I stopped in for some cat litter on a slow Thursday night and I was pleased with the friendly staff from beginning to end. I was very disappointed however with the upkeep of the cages for the cats to be adopted. Many of them looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in days and had fecal matter caked on the rims of the litter box. It was a sad sight to see the cats sleeping next to their litter boxes, (which I understand is probably necessitated by lack of other means) made worse by the fact that they were filthy. This store should work harder to make these animals more comfortable. read more
