Took our dog for her first trim and bath by someone. She was a happy dog, but... Her hair looked so choppy. I can't believe how she came out! Stick with an actual dog groomer place and skip this place. Also, I had added the summer package, but on the way home I realized they did not have the bandana or bow that should have been on for pickup and they did not give us the toy. I was able to go back and get the items but still, I shouldn't have had to do that. Bandana felt still and the flamingo toy felt a little on the cheaper side. BEWARE ADOPTING A PET HERE!!! They gladly take your $200. Then when the cat is wild and has a pre-existing, eye infection-they WILL NOT take it back. They tell you to drive to Othello, Washington-2 1/2 hours from Yakima, to return the cat. EXTREMELY rude, unaccomidating, unprofessional, attitude from Petsmart's "manager". FYI, the Yakima Humane Society will only take THEIR cats back that they sell to Petsmart. "Hands & Paws", said they would "get back to me" NEVER got back to me. I've been taking my dog to PetSmart for years and I went to have my dog groomed and specifically told them to avoid his eyes. I had a girl named Neil and about 30 minutes after I left him she called and said his eye was bleeding!! I went in to grab him and said "why did you touch his eyes when I said not to" she replied with " oh we can't let him leave without getting his eye boogers!" I was enraged! I can't believe they let her still groom dogs and so unprofessional. read more

Every time I go to this store for fish food, I watch the grooming center. All the adorable pets being groomed by what seems to be "No patience" employees. I've seen then spin dogs around as if they were on a cake rack. An older looking dog just absolutely hating the groomers rough touch! People.....when you take your pets in, don't be so quick to leave them in the care of these roughnecks. Stay & watch, so your pet isn't abused! Please! read more

I have just been doing online orders. It's very convenient just to spend time looking and just pick up in store. The minimal interaction I have with the staff have been pleasant. My only complaint is the staff is not fully trained in how online orders work. When you order an item and becomes out of stock and you got a discount. But I placed a second order and it was full filled. The store stunk really bad the first visit. Still smelled funny but not as bad. I still plan on online ordering. read more

You are being supervised throughout the entire store by the manager, got upset when putting my dog down for a few seconds just to look at an item. He is an older bald man, very demeaning with terrible customer service. Racially discriminated and targets particular customers. Left with nothing though I love pet smart. Sad of PetSmart to have such an employee. Will not be coming to this location again. read more

My maltese needed grooming took her in and when I picked her up the groomer said they'd offer me a discount since they cut my dogs ear. I ended up paying $22 instead of $56. My poor dog was completely naked and when we got home I noticed small cuts around both her ears. I'd rather not save money and save my dog the suffering. Never going back. If anyone in Yakima knows of any trust worthy groomers let me know. read more

We have used PetSmart groomers for years. Since coming to Yakima, we've gone here a few times and twice they have cut my dog. The first time I figured it was just an honest mistake. The second time, they not only took a chunk out of his leg, they shaved him down to almost nothing. I can see his skin in many places. Both times, the grooming manager called me and apologized and offered to pay the vet bill which is the only positive thing about these experiences. It also took them almost seven hours to cut my dog's hair. read more

I was nervous coming into it because of his past experiences with grooming; when he went to the vet he freaked out so much they could only clip two nails! Buyer beware on their sales. When they advertise buy 2 get one half off they automatically apply the discount to the cheapest qualifying item rather than the item that gives you the most overall savings. Say you buy 3 treats that are $10 and one that is $2, they'll charge you $1 for the $2 treat rather than $5 for the 3D $10 treat. You deserve more savings than they automatically apply. read more

I made on online grooming appointment for my daughter's dog. It was accepted and we got to Petsmart 10 minutes ahead of time. The boy band looking wanna be behind the counter looked at us like we were from Mars. He thought we were a walk in and couldn't turn us away fast enough. I told him we had made an appointment online. He goes on this litany of excuses of why the online system overbooks and there was no way they could help me. I told them it sounded like it was their problem, not mine. I got no where. I also said that it sounded like the problem was between the groomers and management. I just kept getting the same song and dance and finally just said forget it. Why be able to book online if it's not going to be honored? Won't go back. read more

This place has awful costumer service , and also they don't know how too approach animals, they just grab them up with out introduction of any sort , the groomer who was cutting my dogs nails was very aggressive and he was pulling hard on my dogs limbs to pull them back , my poor pup looked very uncomfortable . There is also dog hair EVERYWHERE. The place is not clean and very awful services are provided . I don't suggest Petsmart in Yakima to anyone . If I could give this zero stars I would . read more

Nice store, cheap products and healthy fish for the most part. Not the best verity if you've been around the hobby for a long time but they do have healthy animals. Store is always clean and I'm promptly asked if I need help 80% of the time. read more

I don't really like pet stores, they shouldn't be keeping Betta's in small little containers. They need at least 5 gallons of water. You can't put them in the same tamp as eachother either or they'll end up killing one another. The store is clean though. read more

We just moved to Yakima and needed to find a new groomer for our Golden Chow, Sandy. I went online and got an appointment with Diane after being recommended by a friend (she grooms their husky). The online appt was great, but didn't take into consideration the time frame it took to do the other dogs on Diane's calendar. But no worries...Diane was right on top of it and contacted me and we adjusted the date to accommodate both our schedules. When I took Sandy in, Diane was great asking all about her and what I wanted done. When I picked her up, she was beautiful and happy! Even her paws looked great (and Sandy isn't one for liking her feet touched). read more
