Groomers: I took my dogs in for simple wash and dry. I had to wait about two weeks for an appointment, but it was too cold outside to wash them myself. Price was great ($40 each) and the wash was OK (dogs looked good and smelled better, but faces not washed very well). My only beef is that they called us just prior to our arrival to pick up and said they were taking one of the dogs to the vet emergency room. She licked her paws and they got red in the pad area. Emergency vet visit on a Sunday and holiday weekend would have cost us big $$ to find out something we already know, she licks her paws sometimes. Staff told us they "have to" take the dog to the vet when they see this and would be there already if it wasn't a Sunday and it was taking longer than normal to get in touch with the vet. Not crazy about a policy that overrides good judgement and owner desires. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a groomer. The "leader" Michelle was extremely rude and condescending. I had been there for 6 years and have never been treated so poorly. I'm hoping she doesn't treat the dogs the way she treats humans. Will never go back. I wish I could give it less that one star. Even if you having a bad day you shouldn't bring it to work and take it out on customers that pay a lot of money to come to you. Praying the hire new help. This was awful. read more

Please DO NOT take your pets to be groomed here. As stated in other comments/reviews the groomers are very rude. Horrible experience!They also added several additional charges to our pets groom without our permission. All the extra charges should have been discussed prior to us leaving our pets. Every employee was extremely rude. I asked for help locating an item and was talked to like crap. Got to the register and the cashier was extremely rude to me because I guess I had to much stuff and she was trying to go break. Half way through she walked away and I waited on someone else to come finish ringing me out... will never go back to this petsmart again. I spent $250. If you're in the tropical fish hobby give this place a strong pass. If you go to this store you will wonder, based on the fish and pet section how are they in business. The place is most dysfunctional. 1. Inadequate lighting on the fish tank displays, how can you pick out fish if you cant see them? Absolutly terrible, so baed you cant comprehend based on my review. I have purchased some fish there, but I already know what they look like and didnt have to rely on the poor lighting of their displays. 2. The only live plants that they sell are on a shelf out of water in plastic containers, even then a pitiful selection. 3. Anyway, just a mile or so down the road is their other national competition, and like Petsmart the other nation chain starts with Pet. Night and day difference for a national chain go to the other one. It's actually more like a real pet store and well stocked. 4. Another perfect example of a mismanaged store. Even outside the building, in an area with upscale shopping you cant even tell if Petsmart is open at night. Why? Its the only store front that is dark at night because the lighting is not maintained outside! The whole front of the building there is one working lightbulb. Even the lobby with the shopping carts is dark, it truly looks closed. Summary, Dont make a special trip to this store, go to the other national chain down the road if you have too. With that said, if you know exactly what you are looking for, sure, try shopping here, I still stop in from time to time, always disappointed but I have purchased things there before, such as decorations and rocks for my aquarium but it is the LAST choice stop that I make out of desperation. read more

We got to Petsmart at 8:35 when they close at 9 to buy a bearded dragon and the lady that works there said they can't sell reptiles after 8:30 that was the information from corporate. Called corporate and they said there is no corporate office-BS..they have a corporate office and there's no reason that associate couldn't get a bearded dragon for us plus would have made money on tank and supplies. I've used petsmart grooming several times and they always do a good job on my poodle. I like that I can book online and the prices are a little less than other local groomers I have used. Last time it did take 4.5 hours for them to call me and let me know my pet was ready. I told them I'd pick him up within an hour and she said that was fine. Then 30 minutes later she called again and said they couldn't keep him more than 5 hours. I was almost there, within 5 min away, so she said it was fine....but it would have been nicer if she had said that when they first called. When I picked him up, she said again that they can't keep them more than 5 hours...so why take 4.5 hours to groom then? Other than that, they are good and I'll use them again. read more

I really have to give a bad review. Only went to this location due to the Banfield location having an available appointment time today. Brought my dog. While leaving, I went and looked at some treats for my puppy, and was going to cash out. The trainer, as I soon found out, Karen started bugging us about training for the puppy. It started out that she asked my puppy's name, asked if he can have a treat, then asked about training. We explained that we already have done the puppy training and will be doing intermediate soon, but not yet as to personal reasons. We explained we go to the Petsmart by Kohls on 544 for training, and Karen seemed appalled as to this. We mentioned how we live in that area, she said she does too. Okay, great. You drive 30 minutes for work. We also work in that area. We go to the Petsmart on Oak Forest Roaf by the mall as that's the closest, for things and Banfield. But due to jobs, the one by 544 worked since they have classes on Tuesdays. Karen explained she has classes every day of the week, and started to push an upcoming class that would be held on Thursdays. She did this a few times, and each time we said we work Thursdays and it doesn't work for us. Karen didnt listen. Karen didnt care. Karen only tried to make a sale on a training class, but I was ready to leave without the treats. Only go to this location if you want to be harrassed by the trainer. read more

This is the WORST grooming place we have went to in the past 14 years that we have had golden doodles! They are sooooo lazy and refused to do my dog because of mattes. It's all because 1 groomer called out. They are getting not getting anymore of my business, and we go to to PetSmart at least 3 times a week ($200 every visit) just burned a bridge forever! Even though we had other people tell us to use any other pet salon than Petsmart, we decided that since this was our Puppy's first grooming and she was just needing a short trim, we would try Petsmart. When we were in the store on Saturday, we scheduled her appointment for today at 9:00 A.M. We answered all the ladies questions including date of birth and other pertinent information. At no time were we asked about vaccination or given any kind of directions about what rules they had. They did not have any documentation posted on the doors or walls either. From Saturday, to this morning, I received at least 8 emails and text messages reminding me to bring our puppy in for her appointment. After driving to the store at 9:00 A.M. (8:45 actually, you know me, I am a retired police officer after all....). Upon arriving and waiting outside because the salon is still in their COVID delays and only wants one person inside, I begin telling them our puppy is ready and the young lady asks me for proof of the rabies vaccination. I explain that our puppy just turned 4 months old and no veterinarian gives that shot until they are at least 5 months old. The lady, Michele, who took our information on Saturday, pipes up and starts admonishing me because they cannot groom our puppy because she needs her Rabies vaccine. I explained that Michele took my information on Saturday and knew that our puppy was only 4 months old. I told her that she had not only wasted my time, but the gas money to get there today. She said that she made a mistake, but did not apologize. Actually she wanted to make excuses and asked me if I had ever made a mistake. I said yes, but I make up for them and take care of the people that I affected. When I asked to speak with a manager, she said she was the manager. When I asked to speak with a store manager, she said the store did not have a manager. I then asked a young man inside the store for a store manager and he admitted the store did not have a manager and that a "fill in" was not due in until 1:00 P.M. and it would be her first day. If that was not bad enough, he also admitted that he, the inventory manager, did not know who the district manager was and gave me the national number to the "Petsmart Cares" 1-800 number. It even got better from there. I attempted to speak with a district manager through the 1-800 number and I may have spoken with the most ignorant person on this planet. She could not pronounce her own name as she was mumbling and when I explained what I needed, she said she would have to ask someone how to get a district manager to call me. At that time she asked for my information and after spelling my name at least three times, she actually wanted me to spell "Myrtle" for her. Not one, but twice...... As you can imagine, I still have still not received a call from a manager, but I did receive at least one text message and two emails stating that they canceled our puppy's appointment. Personally, we will never visit another Petsmart again. We will be using ANY other salon that our friends recommend read more

I took my shih szu for grooming here for the first time. The groomer showed my husband the board of how much fur to cut off and he chose a cut with medium fur and he showed her a picture of a previous cut our dog had that we liked. Well she came back with stomach completely shaved and very thin cut everywhere else. She looks ok but it is not what he asked her to do. read more

While waiting to check my dog in with the groomer she was on the phone with another customer and was throwing her arms up in the air as if to say hurry up and tell me what you have to say or shut up! When she got off the phone I checked my dog in and as she took my dog dragging not even speaking to my dog but dragging my dog into her area where she would then groom my dog and telling me what a professional groomer she was for 20+ years & as her assitude worsened Then decided she would not be grooming my dog. I had to tell her three or four times give me my dog back! I then took the form that I had signed and ripped it and not so politely left it on the floor. She was not going to have my signature for services not rendered. I will never ever step foot in Petsmart again and I will be spreading the word! read more

Very unhappy with the manager I spoke to this morning had not a care in the world about my issues... my Soft coated wheaten terrier is 8 years old I've always gotten her groomed here I have lived other places but have stayed going to petsmart to get her groomed. Some how now after 8 years someone in store has changed her weight from 45 pounds to 60 and changed her BREED to labradoodle from Soft coated wheaten terrier!! Like wtf then raised my price for groom extra 20 bucks... I'm not understanding how after 8 year almost 9 now such a change was made to my animals profile... was it to make more money??? We made a same-day appointment to have our cats' nails trimmed. We were return customers and the shop assured us that 5:30 p.m. was our appointment time and that they looked forward to seeing us. We drove 25 minutes through Christmas, rush-hour traffic. We found the groomers had closed early. A guy with a clipboard came over, shrugged, and said he thought they had called everyone. His attitude said, "not my problem." He did not apologize and offer any explanation for why that area had closed early. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning. read more

This is the best PetSmart in the area! I drive from Carolina Forest all the way up to this one, even though there are two other PetSmarts within five miles of my house. This location has the best freshwater fish, and they have lots of freshwater snails. The fish I got are healthy and beautiful; the tanks in the store are clean, and everyone who works here is friendly. There is even a betta fish in a display tank to show proper care- which I just love- and I think the animals are treated well at this location. I've bought healthy aquarium plants (snail-free!) from this store, and they usually have nice mark-downs on dog/cat treats. read more

i brought my pomeranian here to be groomed and as soon as i walked in they were grabbing another dog by the neck to hold it still because it was moving. i was getting ready to leave then and they started talking about how my dog was matted and needed shaved, if they knew what they were doing they would know pomeranians CAN NOT be shaved because of their under coat. i told her no im not doing that and she proceeded to run her fingers through my dogs hair and they went through perfectly without any problems and she still said he was matted. i know for a fact my dog is not matted because i brush his fur regularly they just wanted to do what would be easier on them. i will never come back to this location. read more
