People who work at PetSmart are very nice and friendly and I use their grooming and their prices are great

Where do I even start??!! The fish lady was extremely rude and talked to my husband and I like we were children. You don't disrespect a customer. We were buying goldfish and not some high-end fish!!! She refused to sell us fishes because our tank was up to her size requirement and the water needs to sit. Like I said it's a goldfish!!!!!! You can get them at the fair as a prize!!!! Then we watched the same fish lady throw a dead fish back in the tank with her bare hands!!!!! She followed us around the store watching us. We left and didn't buy anything from the store. I'm beyond upset and will be calling and asking to speak to a manager!!!! read more

HORRIBLE IF I COULD GIVE THIS A ZERO I WOULD... I was in petsmart with my friends looking at the cute little hamsters and we stumbled across a dead one... We go and tell a worker and she starts making excuses saying thats just a "thing" they do normally and its not dead we go to another isle and come back to see and they REPLACED IT im talking about the animal wasnt even a hamster in that cage anymore it looked to be a mouse or a rat which is appalling they mistreat the animals and just let them DIE and hurry to replace them so noone notices i feel genuinely sorry for these poor little animals they dont deserve to be in a cage so small and not suitable for them and they dont deserve to just go and die in there... read more

This review is for the pet training services. We have taken puppy, intermediate, advanced and now therapy dog class with Margie and she's highly recommended. If you miss a session, she's great at working with you to make it up. You can also repeat classes once you've finished free of charge which is so cool. In terms of the grooming....we haven't taken our dog there for baths and to have her nails trimmed but I don't love it. It's not bad but it's definitely not smooth sailing either. We do but some stuff there and while it is a little overpriced, they have specials a lot and are always willing to price match any competitor which is awesome. read more

Their service is pathetic. I took my fluffy pup in to get his face and paws trimmed and I came back to a dog shaved with ZERO hair on his tail and ears. No shaping around his head. You can tell they get lazy and don't want to do any brushing so they just shave it all away. The worst of it is they cut him while buzzing him so he's been super sick with an infection for days now. i went to petsmart with my friends and we were just looking at all of the cute guinea pigs and hamsters. we came across a hamster and it was just lying there for a while. we asked an employee if it was just hibernating, and she said "yea they just do weird things sometimes!" that's it. no explanation. we go to the fishes next to try and forget what we saw but we noticed the same employee taking out the hamster and replacing it with a new one. i have no clue what happened to the first one but i'm guessing she threw it away or something. the way there was no shame, we got an invalid answer, and they didn't even take care of the hamsters enough to notice it was even dead is appalling. the cats also looked so sad and were locked away with shallow litter and little space. one was even fighting to get out of the tiny cage. horrible, horrible place and experience! read more

Store is fine it's the grooming area that is awful. Brought our girl in for a toe nail clip. I was to be paged when she was done. They either didn't page or I didn't hear it (but I heard everyone else's so...) . They called my phone and left a nasty message that she couldn't just be sitting there. We were IN THE STORE. so we thought it was taking awful long at 25 minutes so my husband went to check and sure enough she had been done for 15 minutes and they were pissed. Not kindly asking to listen more carefully or anything basically getting snappy rude with my husband in front of other customers and telling him it takes ten minutes you shouldn't have left the store. WE DIDN'T LEAVE THE STORE. They weren't even done well and they were terribly rude to almost everyone. Just totally awful. Never ever again. read more

This is a very good store for pet supplies! They have everything for pets including several types of pets! People love to bring their dogsThe dogs love to come too! They get soooo excited! So be sure they are on a lease! They usually have cats and kittens to see that are very friendly. Beautiful fish and even Turtles! All the equipment that goes with any pet you might be interested or already have at home. It is fairly large store too! They even have a section for grooming multiple dogs! You can watch through the windows inside. If you cannot find something specific and they just might be able to get it! I think dinosaurs are not on that list! I even saw a miniature horse just like Roy Roger's Trigger only much smaller standing outside! Plenty of parking spaces just out front in the strip mall parking! Restrooms are available in the back of the store! They were very clean! They have quality merchandise so look here, before looking anywhere else. We go here often! read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. Just dealt with the rudest employee ever there. She had glasses and long blonde/brown hair. She "helped" us with the reptiles. We tried purchasing a reptile and after already explaining to her we have the enclosure and lights at home from a previous reptile, she REFUSED to let us purchase a reptile because we didn't spend $300 there for a new enclosure and lights. WE HAVE THEM AT HOME. After telling her their prices are also insane on top of that, She also was rude and had absolutely NO customer service skills at all. She was disgusting. Said if we don't have the money then we aren't ready. Our money has nothing to do with her. We have money but we already have the things needed for the reptile. Never ever had such a negative experience with ANY customer service person in my entire life. I hope she gets fired no one should be spoken to like that or treated like that. Will never come here again I came to get a Algee eater for my 10 gallon so I could quarantine them bc every fish in the store had either ick or they were dead I asked the "manager" if I could see a ball python she then told me she couldn't bc it would get stress out with a attitude from hell then prosceeded to call me a animal abuser bc I had a tank set up that was to small I will not ever come there again every person was rude and Denied me help there were dead fish in every tank and they were all sick this place makes me hate the world for how they treat animals and it needs shut down read more

Took my dog to get nails trimmed, when I check him, nails were poorly trimmed. went back in store and talked to young lady. She said my dog was nipping at her. I told her she could have put a cone or mussel on him, as he has been here before. i told her I will have to take him somewhere else because he needs nails trimmed better and said I will not be returning. she said they were busy and didn't care..... read more

The store is fine and I've never had an issue. I took my dog in to be groomed and it was the worst experience. If I could put negative stars I would. My dog was clipped so so low that his skin was showing. The hair was very uneven on his head and all over his body. There were long pieces left on his toes. I signed up to pay for a bath with a hankerchief and a groom with nail clipping done. My dog did not smell good, did not even smell like he took a bath. When we picked him up he had feces under his tail and I had to bathe him myself when we got home. My dog also did not get a hankerchief, which was supposed to come with the package I picked for him. He was acting very scared and skiddish when we picked him up, which is very unlike him. For the last 12 hours he has been so lethargic and sleepy. He has also been itching all over because they cut him so low. He has gotten a cut here before but it wasn't this bad. I honestly don't know how they looked at him and said "wow he looks great we did great work today!" I will never be returning to this store for my dog to be groomed. read more

The store itself is great but the groomer made me sick to my stomach ! I took my dog to the groomers yesterday and an employee in the front with the little dogs was screaming at someones dog because it wouldn't sit still and was scared ! The heavy set lady that works in the fish department was very rude she denied a group of women fish because they wanted to put a single gold fish in a smaller 10 gallon tank then she proceeded to ignore me and my pregnant girlfriend and help a older man who was standing there never asked him one question about his tank and misinformed him also about snails. Then she finally came to ask us what she could help me with and I pointed out a cichlid I was interested in her first question was what size tank it was going in. I started to tell her a 20 gallon tank and she cut me off completely and refused the sale for the 2nd time in 45 minutes and didn't even let me finish my sentence of saying the fish would be in a 20 gallon tank but what she didn't care to listen to was it would be for quarantine until I knew the fish wasn't sick. I set my $100+ worth of fish supplies I was also grabbing down on a shelf and left I wouldn't hand these people a single dollar from my experience and reviews online it doesn't surprise me now. read more

My dog has allergies and develops a white film on his skin that flakes on the floor and dark clothing. He also sheds all over the house which has to be swept every day. Someone suggested the FURminator bath and brushing. He is now dander-free for about six weeks and the fur around the house is significantly less. They are all very friendly and professional. He also gets his nails trimmed there and they always look great. I think it's very unfair for people to give a bad review because they hear a dog yelping. My dog is a huge baby because he's a husky, and you'd think someone was harming him because he yelps even when anyone lightly touches him when he's being groomed. Highly recommend! read more

Brought my dog in PetSmart on Dressler in Canton, Ohio at 11:30 for grooming and was told the appt. was for 1:30. I showed them my confirmation email that stated 11:30. They took but said they were overbooked. About an hour and a half later they called and said they weren't going to groom her because they felt she was "too nervous." She's not an aggressive dog and had no problem with the vet a few days prior checking her, giving her vaccines, and clipping her nails. There were other dogs being groomed when I dropped her off and picked her up that were obviously "nervous." When they brought her out to me she was just trotting along, not cowering. They just didn't want to bother. Frankly, from what I saw of their grooming, I wasn't impressed. Maybe it was better they didn't groom her. Not happy about wasting time and gasoline because someone else screwed up their books though. read more

Went to look at the fish and 17 of them were dead. They had been in the water for so long it started to change colors. Absolutely disgusting some of them even started to mold over. Will not ever support this establishment again workers were not understanding at all. Even the ones that were alive looked close to death. read more

On the road and needed a special size dog bed to fit on our RV. This was the third pet store we tried and I was blown away with the selection! They literally had any and every size, shape, thickness, and material you could think of. Great selection of other products as well. Lots of happy shoppers today. read more

I've never left a bad review before, but the grooming department at PetSmart is in need of some major reformation. While I am understanding that most of these places are currently short staffed, their level of efficiency is unacceptable. They had our dog for nearly 4 hours for his appointment. We called several times and were told he'd be ready soon after we were initially told his appointment would be about 2.5 hours. Finally I said we would have to come get him after 4 hours because we had somewhere to be. Upon picking him up we found out that after 4 hours he had not even been groomed. They offered us nothing, and our dog still needs groomed. Beyond disappointed. read more

I called into Petsmart this morning and was on hold for over 17 minutes before disconnecting the call. The line kept transferring me back and forth between the groomer and the store while trying to make a grooming appointment for my dog. I understand that businesses get busy but then take my number down and call me back because I am at work trying to schedule this appointment. I also have brought my dog here twice and the second time they groomed him he did not get a bath. (he still smelled awful) I had to go home and bathe him myself after having paid them for the service already. read more

Do not use this place to groom your pet. They are amateurs and that is a compliment. They do not know how to groom a canine other than to shave them. I told them upon check in that I can shave my dog and have many times in the past. I wanted a trim. I showed up to pick the dog up and was told they had to shave the dog and they charged me $111.00. BEST CAT GROOMING EXPERIENCE IVE HAD! My cat is super affectionate until it comes to getting his nails trimmed or getting in his carrier. So he was in a very fussy mood when I brought him to petsmart's grooming center. Everyone in the grooming center was so incredibly nice to my cat, they were cooing over him. It put him at ease. The groomer was truly Magic I've never seen him so calm getting his nails trimmed. She made it quick, easy and painless. And she got him back in his carrier in seconds (a feat that takes me minutes with him kicking and screaming). The groomer was so nice and answered all my questions (and didn't try to sell me anything else). He was so calm the ride him too, I've never seen him that relaxed in his carrier! Such a pleasant experience for everyone. I wish I knew the cat groomer's name, because she made such a positive impact on my day! read more

Took my dog to the groomer for the 2nd time, 1st time went fine, the 2nd however I come home from college to see my dog half shaved on both sides and the top left compl untouched, looked like they tried to give my 9 month old Golden Retriever a Mohawk!! you would think the groomers would know you never shave a double coated dog! never going back again read more

They groomed my Russian Siberian Forrest cat and did a great job!! All puppies surrounding her at grooming station but they took very good care of her. I was able to watch the whole time! Thank you! read more

I love that they allow leashed pets inside! This is so, so convenient, especially when you're buying collars for your dog (like my 9 month old Mastiff who grows out of things like you wouldn't believe). The store is clean, welcoming, organized, and has a very fun feel to it. The stock of supplies is great. The staff is excellent, very friendly, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable, full of advice and very helpful. They love your dogs, too! I love my PetSmart rewards card. I love that they offer grooming services. I love that they offer obedience training. This is probably the only store that I'll ever buy supplies for my dog from. There are stores closer to me, but their stock just can't match what PetSmart offers. read more

I personally like this place. Based on how they do their job and do what the customer (me) asks them to do.Granted I gave them four out of five stars that would be because the area they have to do their grooming in is the size of a shoe box. I went to Pet Supermarket to "return" something so I could buy dog food as I had lost my job recently and had no cash. I saw an African American girl at a booth representing Bayer Vet Products and asked her if she might know of any organizations that help people short term with dog food. She offered some great suggestions and gave me some coupons. As I was walking up to purchase a small bag of dog food she came up to me and insisted I take some cash from her. I refused, but she kept insisting. As I walked away she put the cash in my sleeve and ran out! Further, as I went to exchange the dog food I was short on the total and was about to put the dog treats back when the cashier Tina, decided to use a coupon she had to ensure my dog got the treats. Nice to know there are still a lot of good people out there! read more

This was our second time coming to the grooming salon. The first time we visited one of their locations, they dropped our puppy of the grooming table. Never called us or told us till after we paid. Our puppy had a scratch and bruise on his front paw. We went to this location in canton because we were told they were a lot better and cared about their animals. WRONG! Not only do they over book their grooming salon, but they lied about how long it would take. A 1.5-2 hour appointment took over 4 hrs. They didn't offer any discount for the inconvience even after complaining. The haircut on your labradoodle must have been a joke because he looks horrible. They claim they cut their nails but, again, doesn't seem done. When leaving, they basically pushed us out the door. My puppies have never wanted to leave a place as quickly as here. Will never take them back there and will make sure friends know not Togo here. read more

I've been to this grooming salon 4 times and I've only been happy with my English Bulldog's bath once. Two of those times they have forgotten to apply his flea and tick medicine that I pay $21.00. The first time it happened was right before I went on vacation for 3 weeks so it took 3 weeks for me to come back and get it applied. Then the second time was today, I picked him up, paid and went home - I live 50 minutes away from the nearest PetSmart - so 20 minutes into my drive I get a call and the groomer mentions they forgot to, again, apply the medicine. This is so annoying. Another reason I'm not happy with his baths are that his coat is white and brindle and it I always mention, "please scrub him well, he got into mud," or whatever yet there's always a yellow coloring to his coat from not bathing him well and when I ask them to clean and dry his wrinkles the employee once said to me "I can't guarantee they're going to be clean and dry." What? I started to bring him to the grooming salon so that "professionals" could handle his baths, and for PetSmart being a chain company I am extremely disappointed they don't have better service. I've gotten help from an employee once out of the numerous times I've come in to buy food, toys, and etc. and she was great but that's not enough to keep me giving my business to PetSmart. From now on, I will be purchasing my dog's food, toys, and supplies elsewhere. read more

I am disgusted! I just found out there was a recall on Rachael Ray's cat food, after I had been feeding my poor baby cat, I adopted from Petsmart, since 2014.There was never anything posted about the recall at Petsmart. However there was a person who was a sales rep for Rachael Rays pet food who told me how wonderful the food was, got me to purchase the wet food, that Ben hated. He passed away just before Christmas in 2018. We got to enjoy the four Christmas holidays with him, but this Christmas his furbaby siblings could only go up to his urn and his basket full of the gifts he couldn't play with, his cutting of fur, his paw prints, and paw mold and sniff them. They sat in front of the tree looking for him, not understanding that he will never be back. Now as I cry about Ben passing I am waiting for my dog to also pass. We just got word that she has a tumor and I have been feeding her Petsmart brand food. Not sure if it has to do with their food but odd coincidence that I am losing two pets within months of each other! read more

The grooming salon is run by idiots,I drove 35 min. with a st.bernard and 2 german shepherds. I had an appointment and when I got there I had the rabies tags for the dogs but not paper copies of their records, which can be easily looked up (my daughter found them in 3 minutes) but the employees were VERY unhelpful and uncooperative and did not understand how to use the computer to look up simple information. When I went home to get the paperwork then called to make sure they could still even do the grooming they were unavailable, extremely glad I did not drive back out there for them to tell me this. Did not have appointments for the rest of the week and were very unaccommodating when I had proof of rabies vaccines (tags). Worst petsmart grooming facility I have even been to, will not go back or recommend. Not to mention after calling other grooming facilities they were WAY more expensive than other groomers.
