Absolutely love this store. Which is saying much because all PetSmarts are not created equally. For example, I live closer to Hickory. However, you will never catch me in that particular store in Hickory. That store is just nasty, empty, unattended, dead fishes floating, no assistance [...] but I digress. The store in Morganton is most helpful. The staff is kind, even funny at times. They have no problem helping me spend more money on my pets and supplies. Truly, just an awesome store. Very helpful, informative and kind. I highly recommend this store for all your pet needs. But, this store only. *I cannot speak on the adjoining groomer or vet care. read more

This review is for the grooming salon in Petsmarts Morganton, NC location. I booked a grooming experience for the first time here after going to another groomer prior. I booked the $87 appointment and ended up having to pay $150 from all the add ons. But, that's not even the worst part.... all of my dogs hair was gone and she was cut up in several places. After sending them time stamped photos they continued to say that the groomer did not chart any cuts so they could not have been done by PetSmart. I will include the photos below. The finally got back to me a week later because the managers were out of town?????The refused to give her medicine from the store or even call her in medication to the vet. I am honestly baffled at the audacity to say I would do that to my own dog just because they didn't want to take responsibility. I will never go back there. My groomers name was Hannah. Went shopping after Christmas and wanted to see if there was anything marked down for the dogs. I found shirts they were made like a t-shirt style for $6 I guess half off but not worth the money, same kind I've seen places for $2.00. There was a end cap that had some clearance items that had no prices, no one to help answer any questions. You could tell they sold alot of merchandise for Christmas , the shelves were low on some items. Sadly I didn't find anytime worth while or that was priced and didn't want to wait to find out so we left. read more

Get a different 3rd party vendor for your mobile vet clinic. We went there today for our two dogs and waited to 39 minutes for the mobile vet clinic to show. Discussed with the manager about their whereabouts. No satisfactory answer was given. He said it was a 3rd party vendor, almost never on time, they were doctors that didn't answer to him. Said he has no phone number to call the vet team. So, as we decided to leave the manager came out I'd the store and called to us as we were crossing the parking lot to our parked car. Said he called the mobile vet team and told us there was an incident and they wouldn't be coming to the store. He did apologize and told us of the next date they would be in the store. I don't think we will be seeking their services again. Was told these decisions to enploy this concern was made in the corporate level. Clearly, it needs to be addressed and corrections made with higher expectationeveks made for correct customer service. Simply not acceptable. read more

The whole idea of intentionally bringing an animal into one's home is abhorrent to some, and a necessity to others. I fall squarely into the latter social group, which indicates that I'm a well-adjusted, deeply caring individual willing to share my residence (and life) with animals rescued from shelters, or I'm a warped whacko fostering sycophantic behaviour among the lessor of God's creations. I can't imagine a life not shared with a pet. True, the benefits, tangible and otherwise do carry a price, immediate and future. A happy "Yelp!" or ankle-rubbing caress offered by a furry friend resets the mood after a long day or truly signifies journey's end after a tiring jaunt. Pets have needs, and those that can be bagged, boxed, scooped, or clipped can be found here. There's a wide variety of feeds & seeds, clippers & nippers, meds & beds; practically any whatever you'll need to take care of your furry family member. I can't speak regarding the non-furry varieties however, as I avoid the 'reptile zone'! The pricing is lower than items sourced at the grocery, however picking up these items at the market does offer a level of convenience IF the needed item can be found on the grocery shelves. Wider selection at Pet Smart is a strong given, however. Many items also carry a spot discount for purchases made using their member discount; 2$, for instance on a container of box-litter! No card needed for this benefit, which is a solid plus! I've noticed that certain shops attract not only a certain clientele, but a certain type of employee. This location has employees who exemplify 'animal-oriented' attitudes as well as helpful demeanours toward their customers; a great combination! The isles are clean, and very ample stock is neatly arranged by pet type and need. Grooming services are available. Cages for those awaiting adoption are clean. ADA is excellent. Parking is very adequate. Pet Smart can provide all the everyday necessities and many of the specialty items needed to insure a happy environment for your lucky pet, save one: Love.
