Today i was reminded why I go out of my way to ship dog food to my house instead of order in store. Though I'm sure your Montgomery store leader, would agree that she would rather not see me past this point. From today on, I will no longer be purchasing or showing any loyalty to the petsmart brand. Seeing as you didn't recognize me, I'm sure this is as close to a secret shopper experience as you can get. You treated my husband and I, like thieves. Seeing as it is 95 degrees out with a high UV, I decided to come inside so the associates would not have to walk in the heat to deliver my dog food. Walking in, it was busy, normal for a Friday. Cashiers were busy at work and greeting as they should. My husband seeing my name on the cart of dog food walked up to it and was going to bring it to the register, as we have picked up several times from petsmart, obviously. A woman in uniform, understandably asked if my husband needed any help but what followed after showed her true intent of asking rather than actually being of any assistance. My husband explained he was going to the register right directly in front of said worker. She then takes her hand, places it on my husband's cart and does not let go, tells us she needs proof of purchase, I pull out my phone with my petsmart app. I show her my receipt, my name that matches the exact paper on the cart and the exact dog food that was in the cart. That should have been enough correct? No. She demanded I walk all the way back in the heat, to retrieve an ID with the same name on it as my receipt. The same dog food in the cart, as my receipt. If you really need a power play that bad, maybe I should recommend not taking it out on a customer and claiming you've had people stealing dog food, assuming my disabled veteran husband is a thief? In bright red clothing and flip-flops, in plain sight in front of you? Get over yourself. I don't like being assumed as a thief and I clearly had proof of purchase. This was the worst customer service I have received, in my life. Montgomery Petsmart has stayed a dirty mess. I'm greatly questioning Petsmart's choice in leadership. And I'm sure the only people suffering from this are the employees and customers having to deal with this mediocre leadership. I have never felt so close to telling everyone I know and have ever seen through this company to never take their business here. And placing their business into the hands of others who clearly show more skill in handling customers. Disappointing, mediocre, and just outright wrong. read more

This store is laid out neatly and efficiently! I was looking for a birthday toy for my nephew pup, and I asked one of the managers for a recommendation. Andrew was so helpful and nice! He recommended a strong toy for a chewy Corgi, and he loved it! I was very impressed with the knowledge and selection at this PetSmart. I would definitely recommend! read more

Just your typical chain pet store. They have a good variety of fishes and supplies and the prices when on sale are good.

They're super helpful here. They keep your pets in a database so they can help you with what you've purchased before but don't remember. My cat was not dropping the cobra coil stools that she should be so I wanted to increase her fiber. The staff gave me a tip on pumpkin purée and helped me find some dry food with 2-3 times the fiber as the normal stuff. read more

At Montgomery, Alabama store 1115 --Not only did my dog not get the grooming service, but they insulted him by saying he's in poor health (he isn't) and couldn't stand (he stood up in the car and ran around when we got home). He's a small dog and tends to get a little anxiety when getting groomed, but I've never had anyone say he's been a problem. He's been groomed for YEARS and I only went to PetsMart (for the second time) because it was easy to get an appt and they are quick. Never again. This groomer must not be well experienced with grooming dogs, as she gave up within minutes because she couldn't get the stuff around his eyes. I'm still unclear on the real reason the appt was cancelled because she said different things. Part of his hair was shaved and he wasn't cleaned. What an irritating and disappointing experience this was. I can't believe I even thought to trust them with my beloved dog. read more

Brittany & Narricka took excellent care of my tiny chihuahuas! They are only 3 pounds each, so they are very delicate. These two ladies did an amazing job making me feel comfortable leaving my "kids" and they were bathed and groomed quickly and carefully! I will definitely be a regular here. Besides the overpriced merchandise (check out Chewy.com), their groomer is the worst I've ever seen. Have used PetSmart groomer in 3 different states over 10 years and had a BAD experience here. Will not take my dog back. read more

The only reason I'm giving this review a 1 star is because you can't give it zero, which is what they deserve. Please please please, DO NOT try and do business with PetSmart, Montgomery, Alabama. I scheduled an appointment online for our 9 month old Bichon last week. The cost was suppose to be $52. We arrive to drop Parker off. We showed them a picture of how we wanted him groomed. The lady that took all the information was apparently confused because she thought she was the one that would be grooming Parker. She said his cut would cost an additional $30 because they would have to use scissors as a part of his cut. I asked, why was using scissors an extra $30. She said the scissors part is only $10 more but if we want a better shampoo and conditioner, that is where the additional $20 would go. I said no thank you. Just regular shampoo/conditioner would be fine. I left Parker there with the understanding that his cost would be $63. I get a call (from a different groomer who would actually be grooming Parker) saying the wrong price had been quoted and now it would be an additional $20. By this point I'm getting aggravated. First, who are you and if you are grooming Parker, why didn't I talk with you and show you the photo of how we wanted Parker groomed when I brought him in? She reply it was an error in booking and she'd be the one doing it. Ok. You didn't see the pic, how will you know. Her rude reply was basically she'd figure it out! I'm more aggravated. I tell her the extra $30 is not the price I was quoted earlier. She says that she is the groomer and using scissors on a dog requires too much extra work so she charges an additional amount above what they quoted me. I told her that I was over a barrel and had no choice, but they were very unprofessional in the way they handled this situation. She then put me on hold, had a manager come to the phone to tell me that I needed to come and pick up my dog because the groomer no longer felt comfortable taking care of Parker. I burst out laughing because I honestly thought she was joking. I mean, seriously, there had not been harsh words, just me saying that they were very unprofessional in the handling of Parker. After pausing and waiting on her to say April Fool, I realized she was serious. The manager was beyond rude!! She repeated that I needed to come and get my dog and reschedule his appointment. I asked her what in the world is going on. She said "Do Not Raise Your Voice ma'am", even though I was still somewhat laughing and had NOT raised my voice. We went back and forth for a minute. Of course I told her that I'd never bring Parker back, but she was as nonchalant about that as she was about me getting my dog. The whole conversation was jaw dropping. This is the second time in two months that I've had a bad experience at PetSmart. Two is enough for me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! If they are this rude and unprofessional with humans, what must they be like with our furry friends?!?! I dare not find out!!! Zero stars is my rating. Companies think that when business is good, they are allowed to treat people any way they want because a new customer in right around the corner. All customers BEWARE!! This place SUCKS!! read more

This is the worst grooming I have been to here in Montgomery. My appointment was at 1 and they are just now getting to my second dog and it is 5. I was informed they had a bad day and therefore they couldn't get to my dogs on time. There is no discount and no acknowledgment of this lag in time. Great grooming! My dog was clean, cute, and happy. We called the day before and they squeezed us in the next afternoon, very accommodating. The groomers are nice and I felt comfortable leaving the most helpless member of our family with a stranger for a few hours. Will use again! read more

I Usually do not write reviews like this. However, this is the worst pet store I have ever visited and I will never do business with PetSmart ever again. I had recently moved to Montgomery and thought PetSmart was a reputable establishment. About a month ago I made a grooming appointment online for my fur baby. I had an event the next morning in which she was expected to attend. About an 1.5 hours prior to my appointment, I received an email that they canceled my appointment. I didn't see the email until I arrived in the parking lot. I called and was told my groomer did not come in until the afternoon and that they did not have enough time to groom her. I asked to speak to a manager and I was connected to the manager on duty, Brittney, who gave me every excuse. She told me that the internet site was inaccurate and should not have allowed me to make an appointment. I asked that if this was a known issue why hasn't something been done to fix it? She had no answer. I asked her could someone stay late? She replied, they had to have at least 2 people for safety reasons and she could not ask someone to stay late because they couldn't go over their hours. I expressed that I work in retail and I understand that you have forecasted hours, however, customer service should be more important to you. Still I received no solution. Finally I asked her to have the store manager call me and I gave her my contact information. No one called. However, a few days ago, Brittney called me asking if I wanted to make a grooming appointment. I expressed to her what happened the last time I made an appointment and that no one ever called me. I told her that I will never do business with PetSmart again. She said "Oh" and hung up. I am certain that Brittney lied when she stated she was a manager. I wished I would have read other reviews because I see that they are accustomed to lying. read more
