I have been a long time customer of the store when my kids were small. I enjoy going there after having Pizza Next Door. Julia is not only an exceptional Manager, but she is a Splendid Example of a Great Human Being. I had an issue , she promptly took my call and then made not one but two follow up calls to make sure things were made right . Julia as an Estate Manager and a Nanny this is a shout out to your parents who created a Compassionate Human! Thank you again. Noah and Levi love their tank .

Unfortunately Pawsitive Difference does not have their own Yelp profile so I will have to leave my review for them here since they hold their events at this PetSmart location. I do not recommend supporting Pawsitive Difference Pet Rescue. My girlfriend and I have fostered multiple times, and we recently found a dog we truly connected with -- one who seemed like the perfect fit for our family. Unfortunately, the way this agency handled our experience was incredibly upsetting and unprofessional. From the beginning, there were red flags. At our first visit, we were told by the owner that we couldn't take the dog out of the kennel into the play area -- yet just minutes later, another family (with a child) was allowed to do exactly that. The dog also wore a pink collar and had paperwork showing for his already-adopted sister. We were later told this was intentional to make him seem more appealing by presenting him as female. Still, we looked past all this and decided to foster him when that family chose not to adopt. During the foster period, everything clicked. Our typically shy dogs loved him, and he loved them. We became quickly attached and knew he was the one. The following day, we were told we had to bring him back to the next adoption event. When we arrived, we expressed we were certain to adopt him -- though we were surprised by the $650 fee. We were told this included neutering, vaccines, and PetSmart training. Since we already have a trusted vet and experience training our dogs, we politely asked if the fee could be adjusted. The owner was dismissive and rude, flatly saying no. Despite that, we stayed near his kennel, trying to make the numbers work. One staff member even snapped at us, saying, "No one else can see him if you're standing there," despite the fact that we were already fostering him and trying to finalize the adoption. Eventually, we decided we were all in -- we'd make it work, no matter what. I approached the adoption coordinator (Joel) and told him we were ready. He acknowledged that, as fosters, we had first choice, and informed a staff member named Cindy of our decision. Cindy abruptly contradicted him and loudly announced we couldn't adopt him because another family was now interested -- even though they hadn't started any paperwork. Her loud reaction caused their young daughter to cry, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. To make things worse, one staff member (I didn't get her name but she is in the photo attached) physically grabbed my girlfriend when she tried to gently apologize to the other family. We were shocked and heartbroken. We were told, in no uncertain terms, "You're not adopting him. They are." It felt like retaliation for simply asking if the adoption fee could be flexible -- as if that somehow disqualified us as potential adopters. We ultimately wish nothing but the best for the dog we grew to love, and truly hope the young girl who adopted him gives him the amazing life he deserves. This organization's behavior was deeply disappointing. They were unprofessional, combative, and seemed more interested in money than the well-being of their animals or the families willing to love them.

The professional staff offered me the flexibility and options for our puppy. They even followed up the next day to see how she was feeling.

Hannah was nice, friendly and patient with our hairy little puppy, and the self wash stations for our two doggos was easy to use and well-stocked. Only downside is that they only have two showers available, the soaps there aren't that strong (you have to use a lot to get a good lather) and the grouchy woman next to us decided to blow dry her giant black chewbacca friend in our direction pelting us with its tumbleweed sized hairballs for over a half an hour. (Think she was mad that we took the taller shower) rude, but I believe in karma so maybe one of you with an even bigger dog can go there and get her back for us. (Pwetty pwease?) After seeing how beautiful Hannah made our little princess fuzzball look, we booked another appointment for our two chonkertons because we weren't satisfied wiith the way we bathed them. (Not their fault, ours.) Hannah treated them well and groomed them wonderfully. They left smiling and so did we. Long story short, this is the BEST place to go to groom your doggo and a good place to go to look for sepcialty foods and treats. People here are nice, place is clean, grooming is EXCELLENT. Highly recommend Barking Dogs!

Our dog Appa gets scared with new people, but Deka approached him slowly and with care. We received pictures of Appa during his appointment which we appreciated! We are here for the holidays and it was her first time in Nevada so we wanted to give her a groom experience over here. I'm glad we chose this place because the hand scissor skills and experience was top tier! They actually do get spoiled. She got her photos taken during the groom and after! Her hair was very soft and she smelled so good. There were still some armpit knots afterwards but it was very minimal and hard to spot so missing it was very likely but not impossible. I know Ginger is not fond of having her under brushed so I think her groomer did not want to force it on her and prioritized her comfort which I definitely understand and would rather prefer it that way. Her overall cut was honestly very surprising to me. It was very symmetrical, detailed and polished. I can usually tell when they cut more clipper focused (from bringing her to different groomers which let me see the different styles--I'm picky) because some thigh edges get left out, some indents get visible, and it ends up being a random longer tuft of hair though in this cut there was visibly none. The hair her groomer cut (or Kandice in particular) was molded and shaped well. She nailed the round face, her legs and the start of her tail by her butt looks more flushed and it feels flowy. It's hard to explain. There was a tuft of hair by her butt before that didn't really flush the start of her tail and now it's basically cut well--I feel like I'm saying jargon at this point but you have to see/feel it in person to tell. The cut by her visor was also so admirable. It looks so straight and detailed; I'm so happy with it. I can tell she took her time, and that Ginger was comfortable enough to let her do it. I'm pretty sure it's a given with all the pictures you see here. Them taking pics of the pups before and after just shows how confident they are in the final look. I'm really satisfied with how she cut Ginger's hair! This raised my standards a lot more with hand-scissor cutting and I fear I might have to start looking again around Torrance sigh. Now, the store itself. In the morning when I dropped her off I got the strong dog odor smell when I opened the door which I'm not fond of, because her groomers at home do not have that so it's possible to mask the smell. Though when I picked her up the store smelled okay, so it might have been one of the clients, but just a heads up that it can be one or the other. The entry experience was awkward, but nothing bad. They just don't greet you until you get to the register bahaha. Their merchandise was so cute. I wish I budgeted for that, but it'll have to be for next time. The price was a little inconsistent as well because before when I called they said that it would be around $90 since the groomer I chose is $20 above the beginning price of $70, but I ended up paying for $100 and some change. I didn't mind because the matts might've been the issue and we usually pay around that price back at home, but just be prepared to bring extra. They cut really well so I had no issues paying more than I was quoted for, but some people might not be. This is where I take off a star when it's regarding the storefront and the pricing. Regardless, all-in-all great visit with some minor understandable inconveniences. They take their time with your pup, they SPOIL them. Their hand-scissor skills are very proficient, and you get cute pics of your pup depending on the season! There is no doubt when they take care of your pup. Thank you so much for taking care of our little Ginger during her vacation at Nevada. We will definitely come back if we stay here with her again next holiday when we come back to visit my husband's family. Thank you Kandice! Happy holidays!
