Even though my purchase was small, cat flea control, I needed advice because I knew nothing about it and have been ripped off before buying expensive flea control that wasn't anything special. Enter an associate named Chance. He made me feel like a VIP customer, which really I'm not. He was not one of those "Oh , it should be on aisle 14" which it never is. I'm not saying PetSmart does this, but it's very common. I don't give a crap where it "should be". It's YOUR store. Tell me where the hell it IS! So back to Chance. He actually walked me to the display and studied what was available. Then recommended a product that was only $19.95 for three applications. That's the one I bought. I guess my highest compliment to Chance would be that I still owned my retail store, I would do my best to steal him away. He would be a big asset! read more

PET GROOMING DEPT REVIEW- Made an appointment for my pet Today - a day before Thanksgiving so he would be fresh for the holidays. I called ahead to find out if I can bring my pet a little early since I had to go to work. The girls who answered said yes as long as he is there before 12:30pm. I headed there and made it at 11:30am ish. When I went to check my pet in, the lady short and stout named Vi, said she cannot check my pet in because it was too early. Sure enough the employee who had told me it was ok to bring him said she did tell me to bring him in. This lady "Vi" was so rude and said sorry I didn't tell you to bring him in. I asked for the manager, and very sternly and rudely she said she was the manager and the word was final unless I pay a $10 fee for boarding. I said ok I don't mind paying the $10 and then she goes never mind it's now $30. I was extremely upset by now. Demanded to see the store manager. As we were walking towards out, I asked her who was washing my dog? She said she was. I was petrified! Such a rude person might hurt my dog! So I asked I don't mind paying but someone else should wash my dog, she insisted she would and now that I mentioned hurting the dog, she will not accept my dog for grooming. She brought the manager in who was very nice and understood what had taken place wasn't right, but sided with the other manager since I mentioned she could hurt my dog. I left but promised to review them. This is the most unorganized grooming place to go to. Don't trust "Vi" with your pet! She is sneaky about charging you additional! Horrible service by her! Everyone else was great! I hope she will be reprimanded by corporate office whom I'm going to approach next. Horrible service! P.S after writing the above review, I checked other reviews for grooming salon. They have 1 star reviews! I will not be taking my pet there anymore. Wish I had taken the time and go thru all the reviews before making the appointment. The management definitely needs to train their grooming staff correctly! Zero customer service! The grooming services here are absymal. I paid $70 for a bath and brush package. Nails were not cut (the groomer claimed that my dog fought the front ones but that she'd cut the back ones- she didn't). Fur around her paw pads was trimmed in really inconsistent, shaggy clumps). My dog was clean but $70 and 2 hours for a bath only (and I have to go somewhere else to get her nails trimmed now)? Adopted the best kittens from this location(Forever Home Cat Rescue), these boys are the sweetest and the adoption agency really cares about their cats to make sure they go to good homes. I told Jeannie at the other location I wanted a black and white kitten as a companion for our one year old Russian Blue. She called us within 5 mins of leaving Foothill Ranch to tell us they had one coming in the next day to El Toro along with his 3 brothers. We met him and he was perfect!! They like to adopt in pairs and my husband fell in love with the little Tan one too so we adopted both! The staff is so knowledgable and told us how to introduce our kittens to out older cat. Within a week they were best friends! We also picked up a lot of supplies they helped us pick out at the store for them too. read more

Wow, the lack in customer service here really shows, an employee (GiGi) really told a customer that she needed to make her kids quiet so she could concentrate. The customer asked Gigi "did you just tell my kids to be quiet?" to which Gigi replied to "Yes, and now they're whispering and I can still hear them!" The customer told Gigi that she shouldn't be treated that way and Gigi said, "well your kids need to be quiet because I CAN'T CONCENTRATE"! She then proceeded to cry. Weather or not the kids were loud or not doesn't matter as no customer should be treated that way and THEN get argued with by the employee, but as I witness to the whole thing, the kids weren't even loud, so what her issue was I don't even know. read more

Worst service ever! Went to go purchase a small goldfish, about 2 inches in size. She asked me what size tank I had. I told her I only had a small round one at the moment. She then tells me she can't sell it to me cause the fish will grow "this big" and will die. I assured her I will be buying a bigger tank (as the fish will not be growing "this big" in a few days or weeks). She still refused. I get it is recommended to have a bigger tank, it is not store policy but her own personal opinion! I asked to speak to the manager and he refused as well, not because it was store policy, but he said he had to "back up" his employees opinion! Again, NOT STORE POLICY! Just HER PERSONAL OPINION! Employees were very friendly but the reptiles and fish were not well maintained or cared for. I don't know if this place is in desperate need of workers or more hours, but the lock lines of the fish tanks are disgusting, there's algae everywhere, the cichlids are terrified and do not have the proper rock structures. The reptiles need way more coverage with fake plants, and the bearded dragon water bowl was nasty. The platy tank had sand for some reason (the only tank with sand) and a lot of it was floating at the top of the tank. The pleco tank had a cup with a hole cut in it which is dangerous for the fish, they could seriously injure themselves trying to get in there. Not to mention a huge trumpet snail infestation. Compared to other Petsmart's, this one is way less maintained than I've seen. read more

Monica did our doggies grooming and she did a great job. She has a very patient demeanor so I had no fears leaving my doggie with her. Check for coupons online, I checked but they were not running any at that time. The price was reasonable & this is the third groomer I've taken her to in this area & I'm the happiest with the groom my dog got here. They follow all COVID precautions here, only one person is allowed at the front check in area at a time. You can make an appointment on line which is very convenient. This is one of my favorite places to shop for pet goodies. I love coming here, bc its super sweet and easy to find everything I need for my little one. My little Batman who is a Pomeranian loves all the cookies, treats, toys and even the fish oil supplement, that I have to put in his food, (it's like a gel), which I need for his skin, because he is so sensitive, and could be prone to dermatitis. I give him the fish oil orally, and even as a baby I would feed him dry and wet dog food with salmon and veggies in it, bc it helps his dry skin, and gorgeous coat look and stay beautiful. He was six weeks when I got him, and he was being fed adult food...NO! He's only 5 pounds, a little teacup of a Pom. If you love your pets this is a great organized place dull of toys of all sizes and prices, Kong's, shampoo, and other care. I don' get my dog groomed here, he gets groomed at QD Doggie down the street bc they specialize in little dogs. They also do pet adoption here, as it's illegal to sell dogs in the state of CA. Yay for that. I also donate when I purchase. Wether it's their homeless donation, and their canned food drive for pets. Give back, bc it could have always been one of our little ones. read more

This is important cause he hates when I try to bathe him. A basic bath costs $40.99 and you can add the "Top Dog" package which includes oatmeal, brightening or low-shed shampoo, remoisturizing conditioner, teeth brushing and breath freshener. cologne and a bandanna or bow included for $16.00. This is a great deal for a dog that weighs around 100 lbs. and can be a real pain when it comes to baths. The real star is our groomer Tatyana! She always takes excellent care of Chief. He is happy to see her (and when I come to pick him up) and behaves better for her than he does for me when it comes to getting groomed. This store is really clean, and the staff is very friendly. I was looking for a new cat litter, that clumps. Sounds silly, but believe it or not the one I was using, did not clump. The girl who helped me suggested one that I have used before, and didnt like... but I decided to try it again. It was the clump and seal, non scented. I think before I used the scented litter and it didnt mask the scent. Oddly enough, so far it seems the non scented is working well. I will know tonight for sure if it clumps. The box of litter was heavier than most, and the girl helping me brought me a cart to the checkout register, so I could wheel it out to my car, because she saw me struggling. I thought that was awesome. The center this store is in, gets insane, but I was able to find parking right in front of the store... I was there early. I also bought my cat a little blanket... he is usually so picky with everything... he had four beds in the house, he only uses one - so I donated the other three. He LOVES the blanket I bought him. Today I thought it was strange when I picked up and it was explained to me how my Lily did not want her nails trimmed and I was told they needed a second person to hold her down! When we got home I noticed where she was cut on the tip of her left foot. All the fur was shaved there and I noticed the wound from across the room. How could they miss it? I got a "Treats Member" reward for 1 free doggie day camp or day care and was excited to use it for a day of socialization for our puppy. She's 4 months and sweet as can be but I was informed when I called to schedule the appointment that because she is a bulldog she can't go in the day camp play time. I've met mean dogs of all breeds and think there's got to be a better way than just a blanket rule against a PUPPY based on breed and not disposition. The only saving grace is that they let me know upfront that she would get some limited interaction with the staff but would be kept separated in a kennel for most of the day so I didn't waste my time or subject our little girl to that. read more

I got my standard poodle puppy groomed here today and I could not be happier! Ask for Katie! She was absolutely amazing and so attentive to my puppy and my needs as an owner. I arrived early before my puppy was finished and Katie did not rush to finish up!! She even triple checked the length of his cut was okay before she let me leave! I honestly cannot speak for any of the other groomers, although all seemed very nice, but Katie definitely made my puppy look precious. She even went out of her way to call my vet for me because I forgot to bring in his rabies records. She did exactly what I wanted and more and took the time before the cut to show me each blade length to make sure he was just the way I wanted him! Plus! I made a grooming appointment over one month ago and brought my dog in. I was told when we checked in that the groomer wasn't there and Part of the grooming could be done, but her face Would Not be trimmed. Followed up with, "no one called you?" Just what I want to hear when I am expecting the full service I made the appointment for. One of the technicians got upset with me when I said I was not called and I was not happy. They offered the Foothill Ranch location, as they had more groomers. I called them and requested a return call as the groomer was at lunch and the person I was speaking with didn't know if they could fit me in today. While I was waiting for that call, I spoke with the Manager, Evelin. I told her what happened and she apologized for my inconvenience and for the conversation that followed. Evelin told me that the grooming would be free of charge. I ended up at the Foothill Ranch location and they made good on Evelin's promise. My wife and I watched through the window as the young lady masterfully worked on his nails. My dog looked relaxed and showed no signs of discomfort. Outstanding handiwork and great customer service.
