Took my standard poodle for a bath and blowout. Got him back with still dirty feet and damp all over. I Told the girl and another worker came over and touched him and said he was dry. The whole grooming salon is a joke. I've brought my dog twice and ask for a haircut and her nails clipped she's a miniature yorkie so she is a little sassy sometimes but the first time they charged us 60$ didn't trim her nails and looked like they just washed her. We brought her back again today for a second time specifically telling them she needed a cut and her nails trimmed once again they literally just washed her and did nothing else to her and called and said she moved too much. We could've bathed her ourselves for free. Never again. read more

Thank you so much to Miki Lancaster, pet groomer, who took excellent care of my dog Baxter. She gave him a wonderful shampoo and cut cleaned his ears and trimmed his nails short and smooth. She even walk with me down the isles and recommended shampoo and conditioner for Baxter's skin needs. Very disappointed with the treatment I have received at this location! I have a 9 year old yorkie mix. Once before I was tirned away for red veins in the back of her eyeballs. What?!? I brought her back and they did not even check that and took her! Made another appointment recently and she had an anxiety attack while there. They called me to come and get her (not groomed). I have three rambunctious Huskies. I can not say enough about how great Miki (Michelle L) is with all three of them. They walk straight to the grooming salon when we go to Petsmart to visit her even if we are just there to buy treats. I would recommend Miki to anyone looking for a groomer. I took my dog to be groomed at this location. I was very pleased with the results and Miki (her groomer) had a great personality. I previously took her to petco on ambassador and settlers trace, however decided to try petsmart instead because they really missed some spots. I feel like the people at petco simply used dog sheers and bathed her instead of the "works". I could really tell the difference. Over all, will definitely be back. read more

They have a pretty great selection of cages and toys, and for the most part they are fair prices. They also have a good selection of animals. The only issue I have is that they are not always entirely knowledgeable about taking care of these animals. I've bought animals from here and I spoke to the employees about how to take care of them, and later found out that they didn't inform me on very important things about these pets, or even gave me wrong information. Nonetheless, I almost always have a great experience at Petsmart in Lafayette. Workers are friendly and try to be helpful, and their prices are great. Return policy is also great. I only recommend that you do your research on your own. This is a GREAT place to buy pet products, but don't buy any actual animals from here. I've always been unimpressed with their prices as well as sanitation habits. For example: they keep all of their fish tanks running through the same filtration system. This is unorthodox because if one fish is sick, it could infect every fish in the store. I've also never been impressed with the condition on their animals, such as their featured conure, which always looks unhealthy and is over priced. If you want to buy an animal, go somewhere else. Otherwise, this is a great place for pet products. read more

Pet smart grooming salon, two women were rude when I walked into the place with my two dogs to get their nails cut when i had an appointment scheduled, one lady was scared to even touch my puppy and choking her with the leash they had on her! Do not recommend going to the grooming salon, and made me fill out shot records form when I had proof in papers from the vet that they had their shots, if you are scared of dogs you shouldn't be doing what your doing at a dog place! I love the fact that there is at least one store I can take my dog into. I don't know, I feel like if your dog is potty trained and well behaved then why cant they go with you more places? Now I'm not saying you should go grocery shopping with your dog. That alteast makes sense I mean who wants a dog around your food? The staff is always friendly and helpful. Though I don't use them personally as a groomer. Though usually my dog is gentle and well behaved by nature, She absolutely hates being groomed. She becomes ( or so they tell me) a completely different dog. So if you have a temperamental dog I wouldn't suggest Petsmart as they have a no muzzle policy and if your dog hates to be groomed and could possibly bite the groomer then you run the possibility that your dog could be band from Petsmart grooming center. That hasn't happened to me personally but it has to a family member of mine. read more

I've always brought my fur babies here you get groomed. I have a 13 year old Boxer and a Chihuahua mix. I took them on Monday this week... They have never mistreated them but this day was different. My Boxer has an old old scar on her leg amd the girl asked me about it, I told her it was nothing that it was an old scar, she continued to want to look at it, so I just kept telling her it was nothing. She then proceeded to tell me the Boxer now has to be express bath‍... Told me it would only take about 15 minutes, to wait in the store. She putt a harness leash on my Boxer and my Boxer is super sweet... She's never had a harness and didn't like it. She sat down amde refused to go to the back. I told the girl that and she continued to tell me, that's how they do when they've never been there our are new to baths..... She also told me that she couldn't use a regular leash. BS! My Boxer is 13 years old and has not only had several baths on her life but has been there many times.... I do not feel like she got proper treatment, as I've never seen any of the recent employees there in the past but I will not be taking them back. read more

I will never do business here again. I have been a steady customer for 8 years. They sent my cocker spaniel home half shaved due to a growth on his chest. He has had this same growth for over a year and a half and it was never an issue. To be called and told your dog is half cut and they won't finish trimming him is extremely annoying. I will find a local groomer since they don't want my business. I am a very busy person and i don't have time for this. read more

My little yorkie Charlie was groomed on Monday by Miki. If I could give her 100 stars I would. She is awesome...she did exactly what we wanted and when I saw her with him it made my heart melt. I would recommenced going, literally, anywhere else to get your dog groomed. I have a large dog with a thick coat that I've had shaved once a year at the start of the summer since he was born. When we lived in Lafayette I brought him here once and they did a pretty bad job but I figured I just got a bad groomer. I decided to give them another chance and the experience was horrible. The groomer was rude and stormed up to him trying to grab his collar which scared him so he backed up and tried to hide behind me and the said 'he's too aggressive' (Oh, did I forget to mention he is a certified K9 good citizen and has won awards in basic obedience and agility?). She then decided to 'try again' after I suggested she introduce herself like the other 99% of people who work with dogs know to do. She then took him and said it would be $79 and to be back in 4 hours NO LATER!!! I came back in 4 hours and she told me to come back in another 4 hours, 4 hours later she said to come back in another 2 hours. This whole time he was sitting in a hot cage with NO water and not allowed to be taken out to use the bathroom. She finally got around to him and called for me to pick him up. When I did, his fur was about 4 different lengths. He was covered in razor burn and one cut that was so deep it was still bleeding. He was scared and upset. His ears were unplucked and dirty and his teeth had not been brushed. She told me she decided to up the price to $160! yes, $160!!! I spoke the the manager (a skinny tall guy who couldn't have been older than 18) and he said he'd drop it down to $90 but since I said I won't be returning he ''really didn't care weather or not I was happy". My poor dog! It was just a horrible experience! I started taking him to Petco after that and since we've moved we go somewhere else. Every other place I've ever had him groomed or boarded has always reported him to be one of those most well behaved dogs they've ever worked with. read more

Grooming. I just picked up my dog for his 3rd bath & shave. He gets one at the begining of every summer. The 2 previous years have been great. This year, I was charged over $20 more than quoted and the groomer "Tiffany" came at him very aggressivly, making him nervious, and then accused him of being aggresive. I also asked her to write a nice "report card" for his scrapbook. When I picked him up, there was nothing but negitive comments on his card and he looks horrible. Everything is uneven, his ears and paws are about 5 different lengths, you can see patches of his skin and razor marks all over his back and stomache, and theres a huge line across the top of his head, and horrible razor hurn all over his butt. Also, I paid for a tooth brushing, and an ear clean & pluck- neither were done. I'd expect this from a Vet, maybe, but not a "certified" groomer and maybe I just got the one bad groomer. If i had had a good look at him immediatly after he was picked up, there is no way I would have paid! When I tried to speak to the manager, I said very nicely that I was unhappy with the experience and that I am willing to pay today but wanted to let him know I was unhappy. He went and told the groomer everything I said (before I got my dog, so I'd have to deal with her recaction, which I was dreading because she had been so rude and snappy that morning), the manager then came back and said, "well, I'll take $10 off the charge but it doesn't really matter since your never coming back". He then let out a big sign and swiped his manager card, took my money, and said bye. Not a single appology. As I said, every experience before this has been great, and I'd be happy to try other locations, but won't be returning to this one. read more
