Spoke to Australian man, so I'm assuming is the owner operator of this business. I just wanted to…read moreinquire about dogs socialization programs, if he offered them and how much it cost. Basic simple questions. He asked and I explained to him a few of minor behaviours that my dog was having and what I was looking for and hoping to gain from integration classes. At this point he strangely and unexpectedly went into Attack Mode. He started telling me that I didn't know what I was doing with my dog and that because of her breed she may never change. He accused me of not knowing anything about her breed. We actually I have two dogs of this breed and have done tons of research and purposely seeked out a 2nd dog of this breed. He stated that I should take her to school grounds to let her run around because not all dogs are going to get along and some of them will just never fit in. He also stated that because of my dog's breed there may be no hope for her. This is a well-known fact with any dog professional, or anyone that knows anything about dogs, to not be true. She's not at all miss behaved dog, she's actually very well trained so I'm not sure why he went off on that tangent. When I told him that you can get fined for having dogs in school grounds he became even more condescending and rude and stated....as long as you pick up your poop etcetera. NOT TRUE. He blathered on saying "people like me" call him to get free advice and was accusing me of this. Even though that's not at all what I was calling about but I wasn't able to get a word in edgewise. I was inquiring about putting my dog in an integration class. We have two dogs both very well behaved and trained but because we both work we wanted the younger one to go into a dog daycare of sorts where she can get more integration. he was very rude and condescending and he talked down to me the entire time, he didn't LISTEN to anything I said, he heard what he wanted to hear. Complete turn off. Not the kind of person you want to deal with when you're inquiring about amenities for your pets. Maybe he was having a bad day I don't know, but to lump all dog owners into a category and treat them in this way is completely inappropriate. I would strongly suggest against using this business, there are plenty of other dog facilities with more open minded kind people.

For years I  have had dogs, and for years I have always wished that I had 'one of those dogs'…read more We all know what I mean by 'those dogs'; the behaved ones, the ok on a leash and doesn't pull you ones, the you can take anywhere ones, the ones that aren't an embarrassment. So before the arrival of my Irish Terrier puppy came I armed myself with all of the knowledge of the breed, I had made the choice and knew from day one that puppy training was not an option but a must for this dare devil dog. When Roots came we started with Puppy Training at Bosley's with Shannon from Yoga Dog, it was at the puppy stage I soon realized it was more about what we do as owners , than pulling the lucky straw. Roots and I continued with Shannon at Yoga Dog with agility classes, not for the sport but rather for the active training and bonding it provided, never mind it is a great form of constructive exercise for my Terrier and teaches him to be around other dogs. It wasn't that the dogs came behaving a certain way, but rather about what we do as owners,  I was very fortunate to have found Shannon and her services, I can honestly say that I now have 'one of those dogs'

From the owner: Yogadog combines a variety of training methods, traditional and new age, to find programs that work…read morefor all kinds of dogs and people. The five programs offered are loosely and humorously based on practices of Yoga. Yogadog specializes in puppy kindergarten, beginner obedience, advanced obedience, agility, aggression management and prevention, separation anxiety and basic pet dog training issues. In Yoga you first learn the poses, then master the poses, then develop endurance. Similarly in Yogadog Dog Training the dog learns the behaviour, then masters the poses and eventually learns to do the behaviours for longer periods of time with more endurance. All the courses and private consultations are aimed at improving the bond that the dog owner has with his or her pet and establishing better communication, so the dog can succeed. Most importantly Yogadog Training is fun and includes the whole family!

My first experience with Kelowna Paw Spa was not very good…read more When I arrived, I was greeted by an employee, showed them a picture and explained what I wanted done. I was told that the groom was going to be about 3 hours. When I arrive back to pick up my dog, nothing I asked for was done. I had to send him back to have his bum done. I paid $81.90 plus a tip for the groom. When I got home and really had a chance to look at my dog, it was worse than I thought. I emailed the owner and received a call back the next day. I took my dog back in to have him redone. I was advised by the owner that the person who accepted my dog was only the dog bather and not a groomer. I'm not sure how the groomer is supposed to know what I want when the groomer hasn't spoken to me or seen the picture I showed. For every question I asked, there was an excuse. When I inquired whether the $81.90 was the price for a full groom or a tidy, she told me that that's what they had charged me because they charged by the hour. My regular groomer takes an hour and a half and does an amazing job. Unfortunately, she's away right now.I'm not sure why it takes 3 hours. Is this so they can charge more? I've never heard of a place charging by the hour. I'm finding that groomers are charging more ($80+ for a small to medium dog) but most grooms are mediocre. It's very hard to find a good groomer now. Kelowna Paw Spa's website shows nothing but positive 5 star reviews. I honestly don't think that every customer they have gives them a five 5 review. I'm only giving them a one star review because I can't give them a zero.
