After working with Alex, we realized that her biggest issue was that she was "over-excited". Alex recommended her to be on anxiety medication which we found was VERY helpful and needed. He also explained to us how to monitor her levels of excitement by using commands and waiting for her to calm down before she became jumpy, nippy and barking. We also realized that we needed to use a muzzle when new people came in and around our 2 year old to make sure she's not nippy with them. All this and the commands gave us huge relief. We had 4 sessions with Alex and have had her for 3 months and we feel so much better. We definitely recommend Alex. He knows what he's doing and he's so kind with the dogs.

In less than a month with Alex, we have learned so much, and have come such a long way. We learned multiple commands, walking on a head collar (simply because that was the safest choice for us). Most importantly in my opinion, we've learned how to keep our dog safe, others safe, and how to help her interact properly with other dogs and people. We still have a lot of work to do, but with Alex's guidance we are confident in our ability to be successful. Alex is INCREDIBLE with our dog, but more than that, he has helped us humans learn what to do, too. He's been so supportive of us! The group walks are an awesome option to further help us practice what we're learning and help socialize our dog. Alex has also been very accommodating with us and our needs. We highly, HIGHLY recommend Alex/OOTW Dog training. I truly don't know what we would've done without them! I included a picture of our dog working hard on interacting properly with guests; while also working on sitting politely while we eat

For anyone looking for a Goldendoodle or Labradoodle breeder, Yesteryear Acres is the only breeder…read moreI'd ever go to. We've had two Yesteryear Acres Doodles, Elmo and Taffy, and they were absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best dogs we've ever had.  That's saying a lot because we've not only had many fur family members throughout our 36+ years of marriage. We also raised Service Dogs, for Canine Companions for Independence, for many years. I can honestly say, that Elmo and Taffy were the absolutely the best dogs we've ever had the pleasure of loving.  The dogs you'll get from Yesteryear will not only be of the highest quality, but your dog will also be bred by an incredible family, who's committed to the absolute highest standards, and with the greatest love for the dogs they breed. The entire Sigman family is also just amazing. They are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. You'll be able to see that by checking Yesteryear Acres Google reviews, their website, their Instagram, their blog, and their Facebook account!  They also offer the best dog training available! If you'd like to see to it that your dog is taught excellent manners, you'll want their adult daughter, Amelia to do your dog's training! I used to say that Elmo was the most polite dog we'd ever had, until we got Taffy, and she had also received excellent training from Amelia. Both Elmo and Taffy were just a joy to have in our family!  If you're looking for police level training, their adult son, Austin, can provide your dog's training!  Everyone in our family agrees that our lives have all been so incredibly blessed because we've had two Yesteryear Acres Doodles and our family recommends them very highly! We wouldn't go anywhere else for a Goldendoodle or a Labradoodle! Just took my cat here for an emergency situation. I called beforehand as instructed for an appt. I…read morelive in Zanesville and PetPlex is the closest "emergency" vet. My cat was experiencing trouble breathing, vomiting, lethargy, etc. initially, I was instructed to drive 1 hour and 10 minutes to Canal Winchester Medvet instead of an appt in 45 minutes at PetPlex because medvet "would be faster" and the breathing issue needed immediate attention. After a lot of back and forth with the receptionist and me explaining an appt in 45 minutes (30 min drive) would be faster than a 1 hour and 10 minutes drive, she agreed to schedule an appt. I had to pay a $180 retainer for the appt. My cat was in a carrier and I brought her into the room. The tech took some quick notes and without looking into the carrier, she said "your cat seems fine and we're vacuuming right now so we'll take her back when we're done." So apparently the vacuuming takes precedent over my cats health (that she didn't bother to even glance at). My cat has complex diagnoses for which she gets routine/bloodwork through another vet. They insisted on copying bloodwork she just had completed, which I reluctantly agreed. The estimate was $1K. After trying to do some of the tests, they removed a lot of tests pretty quickly because she was agitated. They ended up only doing one panel of bloodwork and giving one medication and 2 supplements. They attempted to sell me flea/tick/heartworm medication for a 15 year old strictly indoor cat who clearly doesn't have fleas. While I understand these are important, it doesn't feel like a priority when there are respiratory concerns. Overall, it felt dismissive and lacking compassion. I wouldn't take my pet back here.

The front staff and are Vet tech were professional and kind today also. Our Veterinarian was not professional in the least. After waiting a fairly long time he finally came in to examine our puppy. Standard 3 minute barely paying attention visit with the Vet. He for some reason decided to compliment my wife's "pretty blue eyes" and continued by telling her she "looked really cute". What exactly was that? Sexual harassment from Dr. Jed? He literally did this in front of his technician and I. This was horrifying and threatening. I am a pastor in the area so I tried to not be angry however it's not easy. Let me be clear. We did NOT come to Pet Plex for our puppy's first Vet visit and Dr. Pervert's inappropriate "flirting" and sexual harassment. He is incredibly unprofessional and quite honestly a jerk. We are very upset about this and the mental amd emotional trauma it has caused us. Reverend Sean

It's very evident that Allison's goal is to have both owner and puppy "trained" with realistic expectations. In our case, she exceeded our expectations completely! In 8 days at Marcum K9 Obedience Bindi has learned sit, down, place, walk on loose leash, and so much more! I know it was WELL worth the 3 hour drive. We will be back for second board and train in a couple weeks for continued service/therapy training. Another bonus is that Bindi absolutely loves Allison. I can relax knowing she is well taken care of and learning more than I ever expected. Thank you Allison .. Marcum K9 Obedience!
