I AM PISSED OFF NEVER TAKING MY BABIES TO THIS LOCATION!! They injured one of my babies. I always taking them to the Florin location. I always pay 125 for all three this time I made the appointment to this fucking location and once they started checking my dogs she tells me it's going to be 68 dollars for one of them. I ask them why ? Another lady form the background starts answering with attitude. I tell them I usually pay this amount I don't understand why I have to pay this much for her. Long story short they called me to go in and get my girls I see them all TRAUMATIZED and ANXIOUS I know my dogs the last at Florin location they did not act like that. When I go to the register to pay my total is $164.00 whatever I still paid the fucking amount I get home I check my girls and one of them has cuts in her lungs and her tummy irritated because of the machine. I check her ears and they are NOT clean. I ask for rounded hair cut for her face they did not fucking do it. I AM PISSED for sure going in later to the store because I am pissed to know that my girls were not treated correctly and had paid that amount and bring home my girls acting different they don't even want me to touch them they go away !! Never had I had any issues with getting my dog groomed at Petsmart till 1 groomer stated that my dog was "too aggressive" and was banned from the salon within Petsmart. Only with one groomer was there apparently an issue. This is pretty horrible considering my pup was only at that time 3yrs old and FAR from aggressive. She is the most lovable dog even stated from her Vet, which she goes to Franklin Vet. I would never personally suggest going to Petsmart for grooming to anyone read more

I've taken our dog Maverick to this Petsmart (Laguna in Elk Grove) before and had no issues. To my suprise, they shaved half his body. Their reasoning is because he was so matted she (Holly the groomer) had to shave off all the tangled areas. I asked why didn't she call me before proceeding, her (Holly the groomer) said I signed a waiver and agreed to this. WHY WOULD I AGREE TO A HALF SHAVED DOG!!!?? After several minutes of debating I asked to fully shave him and make him look somewhat decent. They refused! I debated AGAIN with the Manager (Desiree) for a refund and after trying to make her understand that my 8 year old duaghter is going to be upset that her dog is half shaven, I finally received one. She said "we would prefer to never see Maverick again". I wanted to escalate it to the District Manager and again they refused to give me any information and said they don't have District Managers. Worst service from groomers. They don't care about your dog. And have the worst customer service. Also very lazy. For the last year Shannon Russo has been the one and only groomer that has taken care of my boy Charlie..who is a Blue Merle Australian Shepard and started going to her as a 12wk old pup full of mischief and kisses...one visit and HE was totally in love with her. She is amazing with him, she is patient and kind even though he is a handful....lol. He's never fearful or puts up a fight when I ask if he wants to go see his girl. I recently came to Petsmart a few days ago to have two of my dogs groomed. Now, after reading the ratings, I'm not going to lie I was a bit nervous to bring them. But my experience was AMAZING!! They have a LOT of hair and I just haven't had the time at home to continuously brush them out myself. My groomer was Dez and my dogs were groomed beautifully. The best part was no shedding! My dogs walked out smelling great, looking brand new with a smile on their faces. I will definitely be coming back. 100% happy customer thanks to Dez :) read more

I had a bad experience here once before, but thought that I would give them another try since I use the Banfield Vets, and I buy my dog food there. I had an appointment today, I show up on time, everyone in the place looks at me, I stand there for approximately 5-6 minutes, they look at me I look at them and they never address me, so I just wait. All of a sudden another lady walks in and they all greet her and fall all over themselves helping her. I love coming to this Petsmart in Elk Grove. The service is awesome. Everyone that work there is ready to help which is awesome. Jus to bring out a name, Jasmine has always helped us with any advise we need and is always very friendly. Petsmart itself is a pricy store so i usually try to get stuff from online if not other stores around, but they do price match which is decent. The nice this about this store is their return policy. The store on florin will not exchange open dry dog food if it's been open ( new puppy) but this location doesn't. One time I didn't have my receipt and they did an exchange without any issue. In addition, we always take our little ones for grooming at this location. Grooming service can be better of how they give service which is why I am giving Petsmart one star less at this location. They are supposed to be open till nine, according to the hours posted on the door, and online, but they were closed. First time at this Pet Smart, for a grooming session. I have a Yorkie. The groomer that did my dog's hair did a horrible job: choppy hair, there were still strips of long hair not trim the legs or hair around the paw so I have to trim them up when I got home. Won't be going back to that groomer, might try out a different groomer next time. Very unsatisfy! I almost always come to this Petsmart location for Toby's food. I always ask what the return policy just to make sure if I need to make a return it wouldn't be a problem, and honestly I never have a problem here. Last month I bought a few cans of dog food that I ended up having to bring back. I hardly ever hang on to my receipts and never have a problem here because the cashiers usually have no problem finding it in the system. Today when I brought back these can foods I had Mackayla as my cashier. Told her I wanted to exchange it for a different brand. She looked in the system and said she couldn't find it and I wouldn't be able to return it. I told her only Petsmart sells this brand and I don't shop anywhere else but here for his dog food. After checking a second time she of course did find it in the computer. Maybe cashiers should throughly check before telling a customer that they are wrong they purchased the items from somewhere else. Or maybe Mackayla should ask for help from a supervisor if she isn't capable of doing her job. read more

This location is pretty cool. The day we went, they had some kittens and cats available for adoption near the front door. One cat is so beautiful, it's like the husky equivalent of a cat. The place is pretty clean. The aquariums are a bit dull. I saw brighter looking aquariums from other PetSmart locations. read more

First time was on top of his paw and today his head was bleeding. He also came back limping both times. My daughter was so upset and their excuse was the kennel. They also said they didn't flush one of his ears because it was pussing and it was swollen. It sure as hell wasn't like that before he was brought in! So please, I can not stress this enough.. This mans customer service was amazing, you never see service like this anymore and that is why I had to write this review. He was very helpful in helping me understand my puppy package I had purchased with him and helped me save loads of money with their coupons! I normally come here for my dogs food and toys. They always have sales, especially on pet toys near the front. I started booking appointments with pet smart to get my dog groomed. since i first came i have never been pleased. all of the groomers here are extremely lazy, rude, and stupid. they never clean my dog right and I always do a better job at home, they cut him all the time in his eyes and stomach, and they still have the audacity to say my dog was "aggressive" and had "bad behavior" . my dog is the sweetest dog ever. and the fact that theyve done this more than once is fucking irritating and frustrating for me. i went in today to get my dog groomed and they said right away my dog had to get shaved off bc he had mats... my dog never had mats. the groomer said that because it was easier for them to get over and done with and it was faster. they once again left my dog like a rat, and cut him twice in his eye and his stomach. i hope this place gets the worse and i hope this place shuts the fuck down. no dog deserves to get cut and abused by groomers. my dog gets so scared coming to the place and i know why. they're always yanking the dogs on the leash when they're cutting his hair, and show no empathy for them whatsoever. We've been to this petsmart a few times for grooming. Most of the time we didnt have any big issues. The first time we went my dog was groomed by Kristen or was it Kirsten. We stayed because it was the first time we were getting him groomed there. We watched and she was often on her phone while cutting my dogs hair... she obviously did not care even though we were there watching. His hair also came out patchy. We didnt complain. The next time we went back we specifically requested someone else. Her name was Sue. She groomed my dog a few times and she was great but unfortunately she quit. We had to get his hair cut by someone else and the next guy who groomed him chopped off the tip of his tail.. literally chopped it off and it did not look good. We didnt complain and we still paid because its not a big deal to us. We requested someone new, not him and not kristen. After the bad experiences, we met Deshawn. We requested him all the time and he did great every single time. We had no complaints about him. Unfortunately, he also quit. We took our dog back again today and we were scheduled with Eternity. When we went in, we did not get to meet her. A different groomer checked in my dog. His appointment was at 2:30, we dropped him off around 2:15. They said he should be ready in 3-4hrs. I specifically asked for a call because one time they said they would text me when he was ready to be picked up but i never received it. I wanted to make sure i get notified once he is done so i asked them to call me. 4 1/2 hours went by, no call. It was around 6:30 i decided to go in and ask if my dog was ready. And of course he was. I asked if Eternity gave me a call because i did not receive a call and im sure because there was no voicemail left. I wanted to talk to her but i was informed she already clocked out. At this point im angry... she did not bother to make sure he was safe before she left. None of the others obviously checked up on my dog either... im assuming they just leave the dogs in the back without checking up on them.. specially with about 4-5 hours going by with no water, my dog got home extremely thirsty. LONG STORY BUT SERIOUSLY DONT GO HERE... I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK ANYMORE.. I'm done giving them chances. read more
