Up until today I had never cried in public. I suppose there's a first time for everything! Let me start by saying the manager was great. He came out with open ears, listened to us, reassured us that this experience is not what PetSmart stands for, and made sure we left feeling heard and taken care of. His empathy was outstanding. (We thought he was going to cry too!) I wish I could say the same for the groomers. I brought Camper (My Golden Doodle) in for his first haircut because the professional groomer was booked out too far. He gets baths here regularly and I decided to give PetSmart a shot at his haircut. I called ahead to make sure they did an all over cut with scissors and arrived with reference photos in hand. When I asked about scissors at the grooming desk, the groomer said it was a jump in price. I asked how big the jump was and she said "it jumps by a lot." She then pointed to a dog in the back and said they could do the longest length they offer and it would look like that. I decided to accept, and asked that they cut his face short but keep the hair on his head longer. I communicated how nervous I was and that I didn't want a dramatic haircut. I watched another employee check him for mats (she told me he only had one on each elbow which I knew) and then I left. I am VERY consistent with de-matting him and brushing him. I was shocked when I got the call 3 hours later that he had miraculously developed mats all over his body and was shaved a length shorter than discussed. I brought my boyfriend in to pick up Camper because I was worried I was going to lose it. He informed them that we would've appreciated a call before cutting him short and that we won't be returning to which the groomer replied "that's your choice." My dog looks ridiculous. They didn't trim his face short like I wanted, but they cut the entire rest of his body WAY shorter than we agreed on. I had to go home after crying to re-trim his face. I should've just done the entire haircut at home. If I can buy a brush online that removes mats, I'm sure a grooming facility can remove them without shaving. I'm also sure that they could easily tell me the cost of an all around scissor cut and inform me before making drastic decisions. It comes down to laziness and a total disregard for customer preferences. On the bright side, this was a learning experience for me and his hair will grow back eventually. read more

2 stars because it's not fair for the good workers to give 0. Came in because my dang dog got feas from a rabbit and I wanted a natural rid. Googled a bunch of stuff and finally found a spray that they carried. I get there and walk around for 5-10min and cannot find it. (Mind you I'm stressed and want to get home asap to take care of the problem!). Finally found a worker, I said I'm sorry to interrupt (she was putting stuff on shelves) asked her if she could help me with something and she ROLLED HER EYES, and huffed, (wtf?!) I showed her the picture from google and she replied very sassy "that's petco, we are pet smart" I said ohh, you don't have it? She said no we do, and brought me to the aisle (it was the bottom shelf), I asked if she knew about fleas and she said nope! And walked away!.. at the checkout the lady asked if I found everything ok, I said yes but that lady sure is super rude!! She said "oh I'm so sorry, yeah that's my manager, she can be like that". I said I feel sorry for her that she has a manager like that! The disrespect is not ok. read more

We went in to look at Betta fish to discover that about 10 of the fish out of a selection of 30 were dead...not to mention the tanks were all filthy, and you could barely see inside most of them. The snail tank was very disturbing, where over half of the snails were dead. When we discussed this with an employee she told us that "they hadn't cleaned the dead snails out in months, and haven't received any new shipments lately." Seems like a truly lazy response, and they should be more proactive on keeping their animals that they ALREADY have alive. read more

The grooming department is run by the worst manager I have ever seen. An associate gave us an appointment that wasn't available. When the manager called to tell us about the mistake, she blamed us and told us to rebook. She never apologies or offered any kind of customer service. The following day we called to reschedule and were told we weren't allowed back there. We spoke with the store manager who said the employee was wrong but that they were standing by the grooming salon manager. After a year of loyal service to this location and 7 years of loyal customer patronage to Petsmart, we will no longer go there. We pulled them from of rescues approved pet stores. They admit they are wrong but still do nothing. read more

Same as any other Pet Smart, it has a Banfield pet clinic in the back. I have been becoming less and less happy with this place. I have been taking my "little man" to Banfield for years with a mostly happy outcome. But this place seems a little more interested in selling me extra tests and check up extras. Don't get me wrong, I love my dog Oscar and would (and have) done anything for him. Over the past 15 years, between the back surgery, cancer scare and mass removal, ER visits for allergic reactions and latest bout with pancreatitis, I have gladly spent over $13,000 on the little guy. I would do it all over again without hesitation. This being said, Oscar is going to be 16 this year, he is kinda deaf, a little blind and a bit overweight. But, he is happy and loved. I take issue with anyone who would suggest procedures and medications that will make him miserable and sick for whatever time I have left with him. And yes, Oscar is my profile pic :) read more

Petsmart is okay for the staple items but it is kinda pricy compared to the alternatives. They don't even attempt to carry any oceanic life, no salt water fish or critters at all. :( read more

I had such a horrible experience today. My Shih Tzu had an appointment at the grooming salon. When Kenzie (I believe that's the name of the lady that was supposed to take care of Lewy, my dog) was just very rude, negative, impatient, disrespectful and very unprofessional. My dog ​​has some knots in his tummy so I asked Kenzie if she could shave his tummy and she said yes, but she said that he also got knots in his front paws so she would have to shave his paws completely and that Lewy would look ugly if she did, so I asked her to not worry about his legs then, that I would see how I could remove those knots at home and she said no, that if she didn't shave his paws today that she couldn't do anything else for him today. I didn't understand why she couldn't so I said to her: "Please just work on his face and the back of his tail, I can do the rest" then she rolled her eyes turning to see her co-worker like saying: "Gosh, this fool doesn't understand what I'm saying!!! " Then she tells me again: No, I can't help him if I don't shave her legs and that's going to make him look weird. Goodness, I felt so frustrated by the way she was treating me as if I didn't understand English or I don't know, but I felt discriminated as a Hispanic lady that I'm. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I felt with her very rude attitude. Another associate there explained to me in more detail why they couldn't do it and I could understand perfectly why after she took the time to explain it more clear. I had to leave that store holding my dog feeling so frustrated, sad and very disappointed by the way of Kenzie treated me today. I for sure will NEVER go back to that grooming salon again in my life. I totally understand and respect that they have their rules, but there are many ways to let the client know that they cannot do the job for our loving pets without being disrespectful and rude to the clients. read more

I get some cat and fish stuff here. Prices are good when it is on sale with their perks card. Store is clean and well maintained. Fish tanks don't look to bad either. This location is usually pretty busy so you might waits 3-5 minutes to check out which isn't bad when compared to other retail stores. Employee turnover rate is high so don't expect a "usual" face here except the store manager. read more

PetSmart is my new go-to for everything our pets need. I could go anywhere but after this company began allowing visible tattoos worn by their employees, I felt compelled to shop here. We don't spend a huge amount every year on pet supplies but I like to support companies who choose their employees based on their ability to do their jobs well and not how well they fit a demographic. This particular shore has no less then 4 rows of dog food! Wow, I didn't know dogs had that many taste buds! =) Their fish product selection is also sizable and we can always find what we need when we need it. read more

The employes are nice in the store very helpful but i would not recommend getting your dog groomer there, except with the salon manager. i brought my dog in to get shaved short and Breanne was the most rude person i have ever met, she is snotty and constantly rolls her eyes when you ask questions, and was eating while she was talking to me which was extremely rude. After that i still had her groom my dog and she was so rough with him im surprised he didnt come home bruised, now i will only see the salon manager there as she actually takes her time with your dog and cares, i do recommend the manager but NEVER see breanne she is terrible, rude and rough with the animals. read more
