They have one stall in the mens room and is not usable. She said they have a replacement seat coming. If I were the manager, I would pick up a replacement and install it (2 screws) within an hour. They always have my cat food in stock and the staff are incredibly friendly. The bathroom is always clean, and the layout of the store makes it easy to find what you are looking for. The line occasionally gets long, but the staff are very conscious to open up more registers when it gets more than 4 people in line. read more

Took our new puppies in for their puppy special and they went way and beyond expectations! Lita did a great job on our 2 little Shorkies! Recently adopted my pup from CVAS and received an adoption booklet from them for PetSmart. 16 yrs ago I had a really bad experience with my Bichon Puppy at their grooming salon and haven't stepped in a PetSmart since. I figured I'd give it a try since it has been so long. Big mistake . I felt like I was an interruption to their day. After approaching three people, I finally found what I needed. Then the cashier acted like I was a horrible person because I didn't have a rewards card and she had to take the time to sign me up . I'm in customer service . I know the ins and outs. The way we were treated wasn't acceptable. It's ok PetSmart. I gave you another chance and you failed again. No more chances. I'll stick with Petco. read more

Let me start buy saying the store staff are sweet as can be and treat my Chihuahua like a rock star (which of course he totally is) The grooming staff is another story.... There have been a couple of diamonds back there, but they never seem to last more than a couple of weeks. I have witnessed behavior bordering on abuse and have actually walked out on several occasions. I only go to get my Chi's nails clipped, I would die before leaving him with anyone there... and I watch him and the groomer like a hawk. The last straw was a couple weeks ago when the groomer (a little blond haired girl) tried to grind his nails without asking first (he despises the grinder) and then told me I was getting his nails cut too often (I only bring him in twice a month when his nails click on the floor). Why do I still go? My Chi LOVES going to Petsmart, so I take him, but the groomers will NEVER touch my baby again! read more

This review is for the store, not the grooming (I've never had experience with their grooming department). Upon walking in I was greeted with a friendly hello, which I love. There was ample employee presence on the sales floor; I didn't need assistance but if I had, there was always someone around. My daughter and I took a quick pass through the section with birds and smaller animals and the employee cleaning cages talked to us a bit. It was a good experience overall. This review is for just the store, NOT GROOMING. I like PetSmart for the convenience. It's close to home and work, so I can stop in for cat food, litter, or fish food without going out of my way. PetSmart also works with shelters and homeless pets charities, which gives them a little extra in the positive direction. PetSmart's newer line of Simply Nourish pet food is what really keeps me coming back. I buy it for my cat and she loves it. It's a great, natural food without the super high prices of some of the big brands. Recently this particular PetSmart stopped playing music. It's an eerie sort of silence in there except for the occasional dog barking, bird squawking, or people talking. When we inquired about it, we were informed that management decided to stop playing music because it cost too much money. Really? Seriously? Apparently it's a special PetSmart only music system which plays PetSmart commercials highlighting products, sales, and services. And this costs them money? I guess so. That is the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile. So, PetSmart (Chambersbug location) lost a star for that reason. The poor employees have to work without music, and shoppers inherently feel slightly awkward without the background music. For me, it makes me want to get out of there faster with no background music. I just feel weird in there, like the store is closed or something and I shouldn't be there. It's amazing how such a simple thing like store music can change the entire ambiance and shopping experience. I don't linger and look at other things, I get what I need and get out. It may seem silly to go on about this music thing, but it really says a lot about a company. They're too cheap to play music...hmmm. What I can say positively is that most staff members are super nice and helpful. You can interrupt them while they're stocking shelves and ask a question, and they're not bothered. Cashiers are efficient and nice. Animals' cages always look clean and neat, and the little critters seem as happy as they can be in small cages. I think issues with this PetSmart are all in management, staff seems great and seem to do their jobs well. Like I said in the beginning, I have nothing to say on the Grooming, as I've never experienced it, this is just the retail portion. read more

Store seems to be really run down. Most of the fish tanks were dirty and had dead fish in them. I wanted to grab a couple snails but the young lady in the department ignored me, walked right past, and went up front to stand and talk to co worker. That coworker was actually the only bright spot. I am still livid from yesterdays experience I had with the grooming salon in this Pet Smart. I had an appt to get my dog bathed and clipped at 1:30pm. Dropped her off and was told it would be 3-4 hours. I returned at 6 because i hadnt got a call that she was finished. When letting them know i was there, the employee went to the back and never came back. The manager then came out to tell me the groomer just started to bath her. Claiming they were just so busy and behide.(By the way, that was a bold face lie.) At that point I knew my dog had been in a cage for 5 hours. I spoke my mind and was told it would be free and she would be done at 7. Mind you it normally takes approximately 3 hrs. Waiting and boiling mad I went back at 7. Of course she wasnt finished. At 7:45 the groomer finally brought her out and admitted, said she wasnt gonna lie, that my dog was checked in, put in a cage, and claimed no one knew she was there. No one knew she was there? Everyone in that salon needed fired including the manager. Corporate WILL be called. I cant begin to tell you what went through my mind. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO PET SMART GROOMING IN CHAMBERSBURG PA. PERIOD!!!! FYI I didnt have a choice but to let a 1 star review as it wouldnt let me post this without it. read more

Grommimg department is awful. Cut my dog completely down without calling me. Had no regard for what I ask for & just did want they wanted. I will not ever bring my dog there again & havnt even shopped at store since last October 2016. No phone call back to me when I was a very upset customer. No one in management cared to contact me and I called them a few times. I was very hurt by their lack of compassion for me & my animal. read more

This was the worst grooming experience to date! ! Our dog was only half done- she was shaking and rolling over acting like she does when she gets yelled at! Her groomer had zero people skills- never smiled to put us at ease or hinted she might like her job or animals! We will not be returning! They did not do the pads of her feet or her face- two things I cannot touch up at home- so now I am forced to go elsewhere and pay to have her done again! for 75 dollars I am NOT happy! read more
