Every time I visit PetSmart, I'm always impressed by how friendly the staff is. They never fail to greet you with a warm "hello," no matter what. It's such a small thing, but it really makes the shopping experience feel welcoming and personal. The store itself is very spacious and clean, which is another big plus. They're usually well-stocked, though there have been times they didn't have my go-to Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach Salmon for my dog. On those occasions, I've had to grab the turkey or lamb flavor instead, which isn't ideal but still works. Aside from that, this is my main store for all my pet needs. The great service and overall shopping experience keep me coming back! read more

Ordered the Pampered package. Neither dog received bandana or bow. I have Goldendoodles and they came back looking like ghettodoodles. Seriously, who shaves the snout of a goldendoodle? Asked for puppy cuts/teddy bear cuts and I'm not sure what cut they got. They were mostly shaved up with the entire tail left bushy. The training must be horrible. It was like taking them to the beauty school on a girl's first day ever cutting hair. It was over $120 a dog so I expected better. My babies will never return to the butcher shop. I can't even take a picture. My girl keeps hiding. She knows she has an ugly cut. Train your groomers better. They were also not brushed well. I would do it myself before returning. read more

The fish section is so sad :( so many dead fish and the poor bettas look like they're all going to die.

The salon/grooming department is not helpful. They have cancelled my appointment the day off twice. I understand things happened and people get sick. But for it to happen twice in a row is frustrating. They make no accommodations to help get my dog in the same week. read more

The manager of the grooming salon was very pleasant and accommodating. But when I looked at the grooming area, a staff member was picking his pimples in the mirror which was quite disgusting. I told the manager, DO NOT, touch the top of my dog's paw, as there are lumps that need to be removed and they will bleed. Within 30 minutes I received a call stating that they could no longer work on my dog bc one of the lumps was bleeding. it only bleeds when it has been scraped or aggravated. I had to pick up my wet dog who had a 2 inch by 2 inch square cut out of his fir on his back where they had started to cut his hair. read more

I made an appointment with Joanne at the PetSmart in Burlington NC. This was our first visit. Get there and apparently Joanne was having a bad day at 9:00 am in the morning. The way she was interacting with me I was not trusting her with my dog. I ask to speak to a manager she proceeds to tell me "to do what I need to do because she is not feeling well." If you are sick why are you here infecting other people. I speak to the manager he says she has been there 13 year and that is her demeanor. WHAT?? He did set me up with Jaime and she was great (the only reason for 2 stars). I buy all my pet food at this location very disappointed in my first visit with the grooming service (Joanne) would not have her represent my company. Will never go to her again. Personally from a family perspective and knowing how many children visit the fish wall I wouldn't hire a massive d*ck who has no interest in helping these families with their experience. He says "if they die just wait a couple days so I won't be here when you return them." Dude there's 3 families and 2 people that actually will care about the pets who are you to potentially scar these kids like this? I've always been pleased with their grooming services. I like that they offer lots of options for various ailments your dog may be facing, such as itchy or flaking skin, for about the same price as a standard wash. They also offer many price options depending on exactly how you'd like your pet groomed, trimmed, and bathed. On top of the flexibility, the folks are so nice and my furbaby seems to love going in! She gets excited when she realizes where we are and runs straight back to the tables. My only complaint is how busy they are. It can get pretty loud back there, which may be stressful for some dogs. read more

When I found worms in my dogs stool today the first thing that popped in my head was "great more costly vet bills here we come" so before going to the vet where I would be charge an appointment fee if n top of the cost of the meds. Walking into petsmart today I was not to sure what I needed so I walked to the back to the banfield area where a nice lady (who's name I did not catch) greeted me with a smile after lending her ear and listening to what I ka found she asked a couple of questions and was able to help me right away. Instead of asking me to bring in my dog for my money she just assisted me to the isle I needed and what exactly to look for and instructions! I am very grateful for this and that I didn't have to spend more money than needed. Petsmart will definitely be keeping my business! read more

Do not get a grooming with JoAnn D. I am so dissatisfied with this groomer at Petsmart JoAnn D. She had the rudest attitude I've ever encountered and refused to groom my dog even though I had an appointment scheduled. She was unwilling to try to even find a solution. I have been a customer for over 10 years. I am no longer a customer. Don't have your dog groomed by JoAnn D. Petsmart management needs to be aware of how the customer is treated. read more

The sales associates are always friendly and eager to please, and they have a wide variety of items and sales almost constantly. I filed a complaint with the grooming salon, however, and never heard back from anyone despite messages and emails. I only shop here when pet supermarket doesn't have what I need. read more

I take my dog to the training classes here and we love it. The trainer, Ron, is great and really cares about the dogs. The class size is small and they are reasonably priced ($120 for each 6 week program). Also, if you don't see the improvement you'd like in your dog you can retake the class for free until your dog has mastered the skills. The training methods used are all reward based which is very effective. Would highly recommend! read more

I am quite happy with this place. The sales associates are ALWAYS trying to help me find sales/deals on multiple services. they helped me get $10 off grooming (my puppy had to get his claws trimmed... $6) and $10 off obedience training class (puppy level - $99 for the $10 off). I would really like to write a review on the dog training class. Mary does all the classes. She has nearly 10 years of dog training experience. She trains service dogs and I believe she has worked with K-9 as well. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate at what she does. I was skeptic at first since PetsMart is a little on the commercialized side... but after meeting Mary and being in class for one day, she earned mine and my puppy's trust. First day of class... there was a family (non-English speakers) who brought in an aggressive Black Lab. He tried to lunge for my puppy the minute we walked in and the family ENCOURAGED it thinking it was playing than acting out in aggression. Mary instantly evaluated the dog on the spot on leash walking... the dog pulled and snapped at her. Mary booted the family AND dog out of the class professionally and asked them to come for private session to work on the dog's aggression without it threatening the other dogs and owners in the class. She looked at the owners dead in the eye and said they need to work on obedience ASAP or that dog will turn on their children be euthanize because of the level of aggression he has learned. She told me and the other owners that she "does not want to take our money" and offered to give us a free small session as a result of handling the other aggressive dog. Mary gave me a lot of tips on leash training since my Corgi (15 weeks) is a Nipper/herding dog. I tried it when I got home... I had my Corgi leash broken in TWO HOURS. WOW!!!!!!!!!! He slightly tugs, but not as often anymore and he is afraid to take a hold of the leash in his mouth. I can't thank Mary much more and I look forward to come back to class with her. I give Mary props and highly recommend anyone to her if they need to go to obedience class. PetsMart is there to work with you. read more

Today I took my dog to be groomed at the Alamance Crossing Petsmart. They did a FANTASTIC job and my dog left extremely happy. I was very nervous about taking her to a new groomer but since I moved to a new location I had no choice, I have no regrets and I will most definitely be taking both of my pets to this location to be groomed!! read more

Great deals, great service! I went in for a simple purchase of dog food and ended up coming out with Toys, beds, treats, etc. My $25 trip ended up being $195 trip. The increase in me paying so much was because of the great deals they have at the store. Love the store read more

Where else but Petsmart to get all your fuzzbutt's needs met? Onsite vet, food galore, toys out the wazoo, and even cute little kitty cats from the shelter (adopt one). Petsmart is THE place to go, pass on the junk that is sold in other stores, get quality here. After all they deal in ONLY pets products so they of course have the best selection. read more

Tonight we had our first training class with Ron. He was incredibly patient and took the time to introduce himself and what we would be learning. We learned commands on the first day and have already learned how to communicate better with our dog. We are looking forward to the other classes! Also the staff here are so helpful and nice. Do not take your pet to get groomed there, they hurt our dog with the razor and they will not take any responsibility for it, they call it razor bumps, but after 5 days the so called razor bumps are only getting bigger, they basically cut him and want us to pay extra $40 dollars to take a look at him, for something they did. I will never go back there and i would not recommend this place to anybody. read more

had my dog groomed there and it was a night mare. the groomer cut my dogs ear leather so now it has a 1/8 inch split in it for life and they also clipper burned her belly really bad. never again. read more

I have been a customer for 9 years and started puppy training classes with my Frenchie last month. Mary is an excellent instructor, she is also witty and funny and makes the class fun. I highly recommend taking her classes. She always has a solution for any issues you may be having and treats your pup like they are a star. Very good customer service to, if you are waiting in line someone always comes up and opens another register. The store is always clean and the animals are well cared for. read more

I took my schnoodle ro get groomed at the Burlington NC location. The cut she always has got is the 'schnauzer' cut. The appointment was changed 3 times by PetSmart. I took her in at her appointed time and was told it would be 2-3 hours. An hour and a half after after dropping her off, they called and said her "apron was a little tangled and we could bring her home and work at bushing it out for a few days or they could shorten it". I had bathed her 1 week prior and she brushed out fine, with no tangles. We told the groomer to shorten it a bit then. When we went to pick her up, they had completely shaved her entire body except her face! She looks ridiculous....NOT happy and will NEVER be back! The woman who did the cut also had zero personality. At least it's the beginning of summer, and she won't need a cut until October or November. I recommend to anyone, if you love your fur baby...NEVER get them groomed at this place...EVER... read more
