She is kennel trained, pee pad trained, shots completed by a certified vet, microchipped! Our puppy easily transitioned into our wild life with young children, because of all the hard work of desensitization training she received before coming to us, and it SHOWS! I have been to this breeding facility, and it is IMMACULATE. The puppy nursery is beautiful, outdoor play areas are so clean you could eat off the floor, and the breeding dogs are SO well mannered! If you are looking for a new family dog, a service dog, or just the best dog ever, THIS is the place!

There's a reason we drive an hour each way up and back from Phoenix EVERY time we need to board a dog. We've had dogs our whole lives and have been faithful clients of Angelo's since we our new blended family found him in 2016. Our last 2 dogs have been working K9s with specific needs. Angelo is very familiar with these dogs as well, and Ares and Hades have always returned home happy and healthy. The facility is fully climate controlled with individual indoor/outdoor runs and is very clean. You won't find 20 dogs rolling around in unsupervised chaos while a bored attendant scrolls through a cell phone here. It's also not a place where your dog returns to you nervous wreck; but fluffy and smelling of baby powder with a ribbon on its head after being confined in a tiny crate for 2 weeks. All things to consider when entrusting your pup to someone else. Angelo knows and understands dogs and is beyond competent with all manner of breeds. I believe he also offers training services if you're in need of things like rattlesnake avoidance (yikes!) You may have to check the website for office hours as they are limited.

It was scary for us, but we called Mindy and she was so polite and let me ask all the questions I needed! She brought us over to do an evaluation and see how our dogs get along with her Lab and a couple other dogs staying there. Mindy and her husband do such an amazing job at sending us updates with pictures and communicating in a timely manner. It's also nice to know that groups are more intimate so I know my dogs as well as the other dogs staying with them get all the affection and attention they can get! Thank you House of Mutts for being a wonderful place for my pups

We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. We are so relieved to have a place to leave our precious little boy knowing that he is safe, happy and very well taken care of!!! Thank you House of Mutts!!!

I have never boarded my dog and I will never do it again there! The woman at the from desk was nice enough but the gentleman (I use the word very loosely) looked like he was on drugs and told my dog if he wasn't nice to him he wouldn't eat! Excuse me?! Reluctantly, I let him take my dog back. I had no other choice at this point. I asked the girl at the front desk if they were gonna be nice to my dog and she said yeah that was a little creepy. I'm sorry he's new! So two days later I come to get my baby and all I hear is parking from all the dogs like it just oh I'm upset barking, it was unnerving! I finally got my baby out and home and he drank probably a half a gallon of water when we got here he was very dehydrated. Never again! I wouldn't use them if it was the last boarding facility in town!

Both businesses are located on the same property at 874 Industrial Drive in Camp Verde. The owner of Hillside K9 Academy, Shawn T., is the trainer for Northern Arizona Service Dogs. I entered into a Purchase Agreement (as the contract is titled) with Northern Arizona Service Dogs ("NAZSD") to purchase from them a trained service dog. I had issues with NAZSD from the start with them being non-responsive to texts, voicemails, & emails. The Purchase Agreement with NAZSD stated that they would provide a trained service dog & assist me with getting the dog to pass Public Access as per the criteria outlined by the Assistance Dogs International. Contrary to how it was explained to me during my initial in-person meeting with NAZSD, the promised individual training was minimal & the promised group training was never conducted. During the first month of having the dog in my custody, the dog began to have "house training" issues while in public business establishments. After both incidents I immediately notified NAZSD. After the first incident I requested to return the dog for additional training; however, they declined to take custody. After the second incident a week later, I insisted that NAZSD provide a replacement dog as per the contract. In spite of my several requests for a replacement dog, both verbally as well as in writing, my request was never acknowledged nor was a replacement ever provided. I subsequently requested a refund of my deposit (several thousands of dollars), but these requests have all been ignored. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau ("BBB") to which NAZSD responded by making numerous false allegations against me, including certain details of my private medical history. Unfortunately, I did not make a response in time on the BBB's web portal before the BBB closed the complaint. I was informed by the BBB that both my complaint as well as NAZSD's response would be posted on their website publicly. It was my original intention to acquire a trained service dog, not to acquire a service dog to be trained by myself. I have so far been unable to recover the thousands of dollars paid to them, nor has NAZSD delivered to me a trained service dog as a replacement for the original dog which they chose to retain. The have failed to fulfill their obligation under the contract, although they have refused to return my payment. As of this date, I have not been reimbursed & NAZSD has not delivered a trained service dog. I would NOT recommend Northern Arizona Service Dogs in any regard, for any purpose. Their business practices are extremely unprofessional.

The other place carelessly handled Hidey and allowed her to launch out of the carrier into a glass door causing a broken tooth. After going to the pet emergency room that evening for immediate care we took her to Granite Mountain. They were fantastic and were very accommodating. Since Hidey was originally seen for a urinary tract infection, Dr. Bason also was able to treat that issue. The technicians went out of their way to help and make sure treatment was successful. Since that traumatic time, we have since taken our other 4 cats for treatment. The entire staff provides excellent and thoughtful service. I highly recommend this veterinary practice and will continue to take our cats here.
