If your pet is dying and you need help, call anyone else. You won't get a response back from this vet.

My dog was scheduled for and received an ultrasound of his abdomen…read more Like any other procedure or surgery i received a full explanation of the results in laymen's terms which made for a very satisfied answer of my questions. My dog's vet is Dr Wally Stutz and it should be made known that if there was a rating system of 1 to 10 he always receives an 11!!!

Said "comfort room" was just a regular exam room with bright, harsh lighting, two extremely thin blankets on the floor, and a tiny bench that could barely fit two people (there were 5 of us). Nothing comforting about it, not to mention we could very clearly hear the staff in the front lobby giggling, gossiping, and joking around while we are about to euthanize our dog! It was completely absurd. I can't imagine the front staff was unaware of the euthanasia but, they did not seem to care that it was happening. We were also left to wait about 15 minutes before the doctor even came into the room. When he did finally come in, Dr. Wagner greeted us by asking "How are you all doing today"...Which would be fine if we weren't there to euthanize our dog? I think it would've been more appropriate to offer sympathy than to ask how we are doing. In all honesty, the most offensive part of this entire experience was the card that came with our dog's ashes. It was generically signed "from the doctors and staff....etc", no personal message from Dr. Wagner, or even our dog's NAME written on the card. It's clear a bunch of these cards are pre-written out and left in a drawer to be thrown carelessly into the bag with a pet's ashes before being returned to the owner. I would've rather there be no card at all than the offensive, pathetic excuse of a sympathy card that we received. I may be baffled by this situation because I have experience working in the field and have been a part of many euthanasias that were much more pleasant than this but this was an awful experience on top of the heartbreak from putting down a beloved pet.

The entire visit was performed in the middle of the waiting room. Single most unprofessional visit I've ever had at this or any clinic in almost a half century. Couldn't give me pricing for spaying or chipping. I asked about training for my dog and she said someone would get in touch with me. Ok, I don't see that happening. Great people work there for the most part, but you all could do much better.

Our boy was sick and vomiting and my son in law called the vet. Dr Ross is the veterinarian Brutus sees. The vet saw our animal immediately and determined by X-ray that he had an intestinal blockage- a sure death sentence without immediate intervention. Having an animal in this situation is very daunting. We were all concerned and tearful. This is a major surgery after all. Dr Ross performed the surgery immediately after the blockage was discovered and removed the blockage. Brutus had swallowed a whole toy! Dr Ross saved his life! I'm told the vet also called to update the owners right after surgery and kept them apprised of his demeanor and progress. The surgery was a success and our animal was carefully monitored to make sure he could hold food down. He was released the day after surgery to his loving family. They sent the owners home with several special meals for Brutus so he can heal. The vet office gave specific instructions and medication to take home too. I am grateful to all the drs, staff and administration at Schwenksville Veterinary Hospital. The site offers radiology, surgery center and aftercare all right there. Thank God because time was of the essence in this perilous situation. My son in law has been very happy with B's care even before this happened. The staff loves Brutus and have hearts overflowing w compassion. I'm personally grateful to Dr Ross & Dr Anna who checked on him and gave him loving care. I'm very grateful to the entire staff. You have no idea of the positive impact you make not just in the lives of animals but their extended families.

Our very friendly dog got her lepto shot from a tech while Dr. Derstine looked on. No problem. Then another "tech" (long, dark, straight hair) came in for the blood draw and repeatedly stuck our petrified dog while she complained about "fur" until our dog understandably started wriggling and shrieked. Then Dr. Derstine and the 1st tech held down our dog until the incompetent tech got it write. We hate ourselves for allowing this to occur but we have never seen anything like in many years of dog ownership. Our dog ran out of the office and didn't look back. Neither will we. Dr. Derstine, it is not accepted vet practice to train techs in your office!!!

It seems that they are using vets not necessarily connected with their practice. The vet we saw was totally okay but was asking the vet tech about services. Original vets I saw are no longer there and its unclear who really are the office vets. Prices for service are very high and I was charged for meds that I'm not sure I even needed for totally inside cats. Everyone I interacted with was positive, but service was a bit slow compared to my other previous interactions. This is just not the place I originally was so happy with.
