I wouldn't even give these kennels one star…read more.... The kennels blocks are so old and cold and generally look very dirty. I went to look round as I needed to board my two large dogs. The staff seemed to have very little knowledge about dogs and their needs. And appeared to want to rush me out of the place before answering my questions. I saw two kennels blocks - the second block being so small I can't imagine what dogs they put in there!! May I also add that there is no heating in the second block of kennels!! Dogs looked fed up and miserable, they are not walked each day as I later found out, although one of the kennel girls did tell me they were..... I wouldn't use these kennels if they were the last kennels on the planet.

They put up with daily check calls. The service was excellent from the cattery. On collection they looked well and groomed and happy. They were settled back home within minutes. Cleanliness of facilities was superb and no smells. Both cats look as if had a wonderful weeks hols. Bazil and Tilly look forward to their next stay at westcott. We can look forward to using them again and would recommend Westcott cattery to all cat loving owners as a warm friendly and happy catery! My experience overall was very easy to navigate. Saeed answered all my questions and even provided water for me and my dog when we needed it. His van was very clean and comfortable; I was able to rest on the drive after all the airport travel. Thank you, Saeed and UK & Europe Pet Taxi! Sameen was also a great presence to be around. This is a large store on a retail park with lots of parking available…read more There is a large variety of pet food, equipment, bedding, vitamins, etc. There are aisles devoted to cats, dogs, cage birds and small animals, plus a section for tropical and freshwater fish. They sell hamsters, rats, rabbits, chinchillas and guinea pigs, plus canaries and budgies. The staff are able to advise on pet care and there is a Companion Care Veterinary Surgery on the premises. If you want to buy a hamster from them, you will be able to get everything you need to from the cage, bedding, food and sawdust, to treats, toys and playpen.

Also the zoo is so vast you cant really walk it as some areas are just for the safari truck tours. However you can easily walk to the gorilla viewing area and pass the rhino area by foot and some wild cats. You can also get to the dinosaur park easily on foot and the dinosaur park is a must to do. Ok you say its just plastic dinosaurs but they are so well done and gives you a real scale of how big a dinosaur was and there are so many dinosaurs even some I have never heard of so I highly recommend anyone to go and see these amazing plastic dinosaurs so interesting. The best I have ever seen however it might be a good idea if they could add some dinosaur noise throughout the woods via speakers. So if you want to go on a mini safari, see rhinos or deer type animals or even have a stay with a difference in a tent or tree house then I highly recommend to go along to Port Lympne.

This shelter, granted, doesn't look like much with all the cats being housed in sheds but they are so very loved and well cared for and their personalities are so well developed that I strongly urge anyone looking for a new addition to their family to come here first! I have spent many an hour here meeting all the moggies, large and small, and trying to understand the uncanny ability the shelter owner has of being able to find the cat that fits so well into your family that you wonder if, really, they were there all along.
