In the store, the focus is on cold drinks, auto accessories and thing like hats & gloves - not much snacks or grocery items compared to bigger Shell or Esso. However they do always have Sesame Snaps in stock - sometimes this is the only place within 5 km of my building where I can find Sesame Snaps at night! They also carry cheap, effective old school auto glass products Rain Vision & NeverFog which a lot of big gas stations don't sell anymore. Washroom is very basic but never nasty and it's always open. Note that at last check, Ultramar is not listed as a Top Tier gas seller. I'm not sure if this is due to not meeting the voluntary Top Tier standard for purity & detergency - though more likely not wanting to pay the costs of participating. Either way, just to be on the safe side I wouldn't suggest using Ultramar on a frequent basis if you have BMW, Audi or VW or any recent car with Direct Inection and/or Turbo technology (( though ironically you WOULD come here to get top-off oil for those cars because they sell synthetic Total in a wide range of grades you wouldn't find at most gas stations...)) Also note this station is built on somewhat of a raised mound, the driveways have a steep angle which can make for rough entry/exit for cars with regular or lower round clearance. If you're not driving a SUV or truck, you should take the entrances slowly & diagonally.

What is special about this gas station is their car wash. It is the first time where there isn't a track where you fit your tires on, and it pulls you. Instead, you just drive in and turn off your engine. The machine will move forward and backward to wash, rinse, and dry your car. However, this method takes longer. And for some reason, the door into the car wash doesn't close, so the front car waiting to get in and paying at the kiosk gets sprayed upon. There is no free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible. The carwash is awesome. Touch-less and except for the back of the van gets the cars clean. I try to use this feature every time I fill up in the winter. There can be huge lines so timing can be important. I never eat or drink at these places. so I cant speak to that. But if you need some chips or a hot coffee this place has got that for you. Lastly, I like the EasyPay system. no fuss no muss. Shell's system works really well, including things like the car wash. Just don't loose the FOB. Now... should we start a complaint around this ethanol as additive? 10% added? this is a sham. At least shell tells you the percentage of each grade of fuel.

I like this gas station for the following reasons:…read more A) proximity the Jameson on-ramp to the Gardiner. When Jameson ends at Queen, it bends a little east and become Lansdowne. B) You can get in and out of the fuel pumps about 8 different ways. C) Fuel prices seem to often be significantly cheaper. D) They don't make you prepay, unlike many US gas stations and their overzealous Zip Code requirement.
