I'm not sure how this happened. Maybe it was cabin fever. Maybe having 15 year old with me 24/7 asking for a dog. The truth was though, with all this time at home, it was the perfect time to get and train a puppy. We could not have asked for a better place to get a puppy! Once we decided on the breed we did lots of research to find the right breeder. Tracy at Stones River breeds one litter at a time, thoughtfully and carefully. She raises the puppies in her own home with lots of love and attention. Traci uses the Puppy Culture method so your puppy should come home well on their way to socialization and primed for training. We picked up our new baby, Dolly at eight weeks old and she was already potty trained! More importantly Dolly has a sweet, loving, fun disposition and is taking to training nicely. We are in love with Dolly already! It has been a while since we had a dog so Tracy has been a tremendous resource for us she has given us so many great ideas and lots of support. I am a neighbor of the owner of Masada Farm. She is a conscientious, loving,…read moreand professional dog breeder. Her puppies are of the highest quality and have excellent dispositions. I have visited her several times just to play with the puppies. I am not sure why there is vitriol toward this breeder but feel it was over the top. I have an Australian shepherd and some of the complaints are just part of the disposition-not liking males and high anxiety. I had my shepherd before I met Deborah but if something happens to her-she is now 11 1/2, I will definitely contact Deborah for a puppy.

The owner loves her animals and wants to make sure that they go to homes where the new owner understands the breed. Our pup is now 16 mo old and weighs a whopping 70lbs. Last Christmastime, I drove my parents from Kentucky down to Tennessee to see the farm and select a pup. My parents are old school and like picking out their pup in person, and so do I. My Mom picked this blue-eyed, blue merle male out and he was one of the biggest of the litter. We knew about these working breeds as in the past we had a Sheltie and then a Border Collie. My parents really wanted an Aussie and they are so happy with our Nuxey! He is extremely smart and has the absolute best temperament. He is true to the breed as he loves being around his people and will often lay directly on my parents feet. As you see from the photos he loves his ball. He also knows the name of all his toys. My Dad can ask him to bring a toy by name and he knows exactly which one and brings it.

Then someone told me about Gracelyn Danes and Cavaliers and I followed her on facebook to make sure that it was not a puppy mill. She is fantastic with all her dogs. They are part of her family and are in good health and well adjusted when you pick up your puppy. She sends you home with a bag of toys, food, blanket the mom slept on, etc so that the puppy has everything that is needed. When you pick out a puppy, she sends weekly updates and photos. She is a fantastic person and breeder. Always willing to address your questions and concerns even after picking up the puppy. I am so happy with the puppy I got last year that when I saw she was going to have another litter, I immediately asked to be put on the list. I picked up my puppy yesterday and he is as great as the first puppy I got from her. I would not get a puppy from anyone but her. I highly recommend her as a responsible breeder. Very caring and very knowledgeable about the breed. I love the two dogs I got from her. I am ever so grateful that I was told about her website and that I was lucky enough to get such wonderful, healthy and well adjusted puppies from her.

The business had him in the back and in a dog crate . He beat his head on the crate , and now his whole face is nothing but scabs. Pictures below. Take my word for it, he looked like a stray that had been wandering the streets. I cried all the way home. When confronted the owner blamed me. Gas lighting at its best. They were trusted... lesson learned. I text everyday and called checking on him.
