My 2 dogs at the time had never been to a daycare and I began to bring them of course, I worked here afterall :) Although I left Sit Doggie Daycare to pursue a career, I still brought Dayton and Baileybug to the daycare as they loved it! Hanging out with a few awesome people and a bunch of happy dogs sure beat waiting for mom to get home from work right? After Baileybug passed away, I adopted a rescued pit bull Marley and by this time, the daycare had come under new ownership. Cam has been nothing less than awesome for this daycare. I'm happy to have seen it evolve into the wonderful place it is now. Well managed, CLEAN and the folks have a genuine relationship with each and every pup that comes through that door. My poor girl has puncture wounds on her face, ear, and front leg. She was bleeding and limping in agony when I saw her at the vet. The video footage clearly showed that my dog was walking normally and the attacking dog just ran over and attacked her from the back FOR NO REASON. However, Adventure Den has declined my request for obtaining the video footage. I will not stand for this kind of behavior. I have reported this incident to the city and will be pressing charges if necessary. It's absolutely unconscionable how dogs with such violent tendencies are allowed to pass the so-called temperament assessment in the first place. According to the staff member there, the attacking dog is not a perfect dog and has ALREADY SHOWN REACTIVITY in the past but never physically hurt another dog (yet). It appears that they are waiting for something like this to happen before banning the dog, which is absurd and unacceptable. Precautionary steps should have been taken long ago, and I'm deeply disappointed by their unprofessionalism. The staff-to-dog ratio in the video was also concerning: one staff member was overseeing 10-20 dogs when the incident happened. This is absolutely outrageous; a facility like this should NEVER be understaffed in any given moment. If you know you'll have fewer people working, you take in fewer dogs - it's that simple. This incident very much could've been avoided if the staff member was given a smaller group of dogs in which they could monitor the behaviors closely. If the facility continues with this ratio and un-thorough assessment, I fear that another dog will be seriously injured soon. On the bright side, after the incident happened, the staff member informed me immediately over the phone and took my dog to the vet very quickly. The other dog is now banned permanently, and the owner has offered to cover our medical bills. Thank you for making this experience less bad. But it doesn't change the fact that my dog is injured both physically and mentally, and it doesn't make up for the trauma she has experienced. I urge you not to take your dogs to this facility unless you are okay with putting them in danger. Wishing all the pups to stay safe and healthy.

Not very many businesses ask why I took my business else where. The rates for doggy day care seem to be in the same range as the other locations. The play area is a bit small, however I don't mind it. It forces the dogs to socialize with one another.

I called and the ranch was closed on Friday night but Cam returned my call and happily said he would take our dog the next day. From that moment forward I was greeted with friendly, professional service. When we arrived our 10 month old puppy happily followed Cam behind the gate which showed us she felt safe there and trusted Cam. The facility looked amazing from what we could see and we felt very confident that this was a dog haven! At the end of the day we were rushed to get back to the ranch and noticed there was a Dog Ranch van that said shuttle services on it and I thought perhaps I could request a shuttle to the ferry for our puppy and Cam was amazing again and said "No problem I'm on my way there already" Our puppy was so relaxed and content when he dropped her off. He even cried once as when the shuttle driver said good-bye. That's a good sign, so Bowen Island is naturally our go-to dog sitting solution for whenever we head out of town. The shuttle service is super convenient (now Monday to Friday), especially when you factor in the cost of taking the ferry to Bowen Island to drop your pup off. We picked out dog up once and it ended up costing more than the shuttle. Here's the kicker... it's comparably priced to boarding your dog in the city. Only here they get to run around in the country all day. Check out their Facebook page too. I have taken him to daycare, boarding, daycare and train, Group Classes and Private classes and don't have a single complaint about any of my experiences. Good Dog Staff are very patient and kind and don't hesitate to go the extra mile when you have questions or concerns. I love that there are a variety of trainers with different approaches but they are all still very patient and positive. It's easy to get frustrated sometimes when training a high strung puppy with a short attention span but I never saw them lose their patience with either of us and they never minded staying a little bit late to address any concerns or questions I had :) I have done the Puppy and Adolescent classes so far and plan on taking them all eventually. I feel that the price is very reasonable considering the quality of training you receive. (High Quality IMO!) If I could do a private lesson every week, I would and it would be worth it! Ace and I have gained so much from the GD trainers and I can't thank them enough. During Daycare and train i received daily 'report cards' on Ace's progress and I always enjoy seeing the daily pictures that are posted on Facebook of all the dogs playing and enjoying each others company. I know that all of the staff is knowledgeable on pack interaction and that Ace is monitored to ensure he is playing appropriately (He sometimes mounts other dogs). They don't ignore problem behavior and they inform me of any concerns upon pick up each day. Last time he went for boarding they noticed he had a puncture on his face (I believe from one of my other dogs) and they went ahead and cleaned it and applied ointment which I SO appreciated. They also sent me an email to make sure I was aware (I had been but it had opened up during play and had been bleeding again) which I know not everyone would do!

My finance and I called Zoomies inquiring about their overnight boarding services. Everything…read moreseemed okay when we booked a night for our two dogs on Dec 31st for Jan 2nd. Later that evening on Dec 31st around 7 pm we received a call from Zoomies and were asked to bring our dogs in for a trial visit before they stayed overnight. We were asked to bring our dogs in at 630 am to 1130 am on Jan 2 even though we needed boarding services that same day at 1 pm. Today (Jan 1) I called the company and requested for a trial visit for today as we needed to know if they were able to board our dogs for Jan 2. Sammy the individual working called her boss and asked if we could come in today and we were appreciative of that as they were technically only open for the dogs that were already being boarded overnight and not for daycare. When I arrived at Zoomies with my 2 dogs I was then informed there would be a charge of $27 per dog for a full day visit. I was surprised and disappointed as this was never explained to us previously (the additional charges) and the charges were first mentioned when I was at the business with my 2 dogs ready to drop them off. I spoke to the owner Craig and informed him of all that had occurred and he said he would talk to his staff and offered his apologies. He stuck by the daycare rate and offered me no other options. Craig even informed me the overnight boarding option was new as of Dec 2014 and was for dogs that had already had a daycare visit. This was surprising for me to hear as this had not been mentioned on Dec 31st when we initially booked their services. I was unaware of the requirements for a overnight stay (i.e. the additional cost for a daycare visit). There was a huge barrier in communication here as well as poor customer service! We are extremely disappointed as we feel there were no other options made available to us as potential customers!
